Questions generally go from easy to hard in LR. If you skip a question, you’re most likely skipping an easier question to get into the harder questions. Accuracy is much better than speed. You have a one in five chance of getting it right by guessing or going too quickly. If you slow down and really understand the passage, you’re way more likely to get the answer right. Personally, I like 1/1 odds better than 1/5. It’s not about speed. It’s about understanding. Yes, it’s good to time the sections so you have a good feel for it, but you should never be trying to go quickly. That’s sacrificing points for finishing. There’s no bonus for finishing the section. Just do your absolute best to get the ones right that you attempt, and eventually the speed will come naturally.

This is an old comment, but to be clear when I recommend skipping a question I mean flag it, skip it, and come back. Some people get bogged down. If you spend 2:30 on a question, it is usually more effective to spend 1:30, realize you are stuck, and spend 1:00 on it at the end of the section. You may have new insight after returning. Agree overall that trying to go fast is not a winning strategy on its own; accuracy is more important.

Very good tip regarding tracking questions that take too long to flag the question type for review. I am hitting high 170s now in PT, but if anything is keeping me from a 180 its that I still take too long on some of those Parallel and most similar flawed reasoning questions. I just usually have enough time to deal with them at the end taking my time. If improve that I do believe I can get a perfect LR section 90% of the time instead of the 40% of the time I'm currently getting. Thanks so much

I enjoy the short videos. I’d rather watch 10 five-minute videos than 1 fifty-minute video on the same topic.

How long are your breaks during timed conditions?
@Lsathacks
@Lsathacks 8 месяцев назад
There’s a ten minute break between sections 2 and 3. In between the sections the proctor usually gives you a minute. If I’m taking a micro break in a section it would be 5-10 seconds with deep breathing. Just a reset.
