In this video we will be “Updating” OBDLink and LsDroid (Legacy) apps and swapping firmware to make it compatible again.
When combined with TunerPro software (LSdroid & OBDLink) allows free PCM tuning, VATS disable, changing injector flow rates, moving limiters and more!
When combined with RealDash app, OBDLink allows some free sexy digital gauges , even Lamborghini or Mercedes gauges, as well as performance dyno mode and data logging!

I think all of that went over my head but when I decide to do an ls swap I'll do some more research and get my kids to help me. They're way more computer savvy than I'll ever be.lol!

they have carbureted intakes and little control box for the ignition coils , makes them like a carbureted small block setup :)

HPtuners can be used to deactivate fuel processes for carbureted applications. I wonder if this can do the same?@@613Builds

Hey I’m about ready to try this in a few minutes , I don’t have a key it a push start would I just have to turn off ecu? And then turn on again? Since I don’t have a key (it’s a standalone harness) blue and red plugs

I have the obd mx+ would you happen to know if i should be able to pcm flash with that as well or would someone have to have the lx virsion ?

I think it should work, but only certain firmwares versions are compatible. I had to use an older firmware version after LSDROID updated their app. I think the compatible versions are listed on their website

How do you find using the Software? looks like it is fairly easy to use, I was up north I think it was Thursday I believe on Highway 41 I was trying to catch some good video but the weather was a bit off,

Oh that’s awesome . The scenery has been amazing the last couple weeks but I’m sure most of the leaves 🍁 will be on the ground soon 🤷🏽‍♂️ most of these softwares are easy to learn. TunerPro might be the most difficult for novice tuners but things like turning off vats security is pretty easy ✅ OBDLink app and torq app are easy to make your own gauges but RealDash app has Lamborghini gauges and amazing visuals. LS droid is pretty easy to use with basic information ℹ️ up North eh? 😜 how far North does it go? I’m closer to the southern end I think but it’s a nice drive everytime I go up North 🍁🙌🏽🏎

I’m a new subscriber. I want to be able to tune my 411 but I was scared to do this. Are you able to get everything to work right? Thanks for the video.

Yes you can tune with TunerPro on windows free. I used it to turn off vats and change flex injectors flow rates

What are you changing on the car by flashing

I’ve used LS droid to read my PCM .bin file then I’ve used TunerPro to modify the tune including VATS security delete disable, engine rpm and speed limiters, transmission types, ive changed to 33lb injectors so I had to change flow rate tables, I’ve bumped up the o2 sensor switch points about 5% . Then I’ve flashed the modified .bin file back to the car . There’s ALOT you can do with these softwares

@@613Builds thanks for the reply. I'm installing a 2016 l83 and a 4l60e into my 1989 Camaro so maybe you'll make a video on how to delete the vats and change the air intake values using that software someday.

@@mrsexx1 that sounds like a good project. Currently LSDROID is only suited for 99-07 PCM CPUs but they keep making advancements in the open source software so maybe possible someday. I think HPTUNERS might be your best option for any system newer than 2007 but I’ll have to check on the LsDroid new capabilities

Hey john when the ls droid droid app tells you to turn off ignition for 15 seconds to reboot wont the stereo turn off also? And affect the process?

Well yes but no, Good question , if you turn the key back one click the ignition turns off (no pcm ign) but the radio stays on. If you turn it back all the way, the radio stays on for about 10 seconds before it goes into rest mode. It’s kinda like a tablet where it sometimes keeps background apps Running for a short period. So far it works for me but if you’re concerned or if you have a canbus you might want to use a bench harness

So you are doing all that over WiFi ? or Data through a phone ?

no internet required for basic functions like gauges and i used to flash without wifi, gps speed on the gauges is internal. you only need wifi if youre dowloading apps or updates, however the NEW version of LsDroid does check for updates automatically so that might require wifi or data whichever you prefer. the OBD app does not require any internet at all to scan cars or delete codes or run gauges, same as RealDash app, no internet reqèd

@@TheCanadianBubba I’m just showing the radio menu and the apps , the app is connecting to the OBD2 on the LS engine harness. I have a 2005 LS engine so it is capable of sending information to my radio because my radio is an android computer. I’m not using the Wifi very much but it is required occasionally, only if you’re updating or downloading apps. Most of the apps will work without internet after they’ve been installed. Some places have free wifi so you could park at the library and download updates then go home
