Those helmets were never designed for direct impact. They are designed to protect from shrapnel or stray(inaccurate) shots.

Gotta trade out protectiveness with weight. These newer helmets have just slightly less protection, but weigh less than say the K6-3 or Altyn. Plus you get a better FOV with the clear visor. Everything is a trade off when designing gear/guns.

Andrew True. I guess after a hit to the head you’re out of the mission whether it penetrates, gets absorbed or deflected. Must hurt like hell either way, and you’re probably not gonna wanna fight with a concussion

@@MintyLime703 I think the game is amazing but what I am saying is that devs should think about consistancy. Getting one tapped in the face shield with PM is not consistant. Just make certain bullets go through things consistantly. Another point is how they implement realisim to the extent of shrapnel. If they didnt want such a realistic game, then why do they implement these very detailed elements such as pen values and shrapnel. Im not down playing this game btw, this game has been an addiction of mine for many years. I just think this game is so hardcore that getting yeeted on from bullcrap occurences like PM to the face shield sucks. The game is already hard enough for the average player.

especialy the helmets that stop rifle rounds...
