Very nice phrasing around the Bebop scale at around :31. I sure hope people are stealing your licks from your videos, I sure do. The playing and tone are great, that's a given. But, it's your phrasing that is so inspiring. To me it just swings so hard, just killin'g it. Thanks for the licks!
The ole downbeat switcharoo in the intro riff is always a winner for me. Sounds great, I’m guessing there’s some SD9 lineage implied? Remember when all the fusion band names got Frankenstein’d together depending who had album money and gigs? Vital Tech Tones was kind of the peak of that madness.
Great playing as always. This pedal sounds like it holds together nicely especially for the amount of gain available. Pretty tight. I really like gain pedals with bass, treble and middle controls. Another thing I like is that it's not too buzzy, unless you want it to. Some pedals you just can't get rid of the fizz.
Hey LsL... I come to hear Shawn play, I then learn about your product. I say because I know that can be helpful for business partnerships. I would not have given the pedal a second look if I was not curious about what Shawn might do through it... great sounding pedal... and great demo Shawn. No need to respond to me here.
Hmmm. It's quite a bit different than the DS and BE-OD. The Vital is definitely a big-sounding distortion pedal, but it's not "amp-like" in character to me. The DS and BE OD pedals are more along the lines of an "overdrive". They are more "amp-like" in nature. I think the Vital would pair nicely with the DS.
