Perfect combination, that's a bit more aggressive and bitey than the original but I think it's better. LSL have done the cleverest thing in adopting the classic electric guitar design and improving in the mechanics of it, they have basiically ironed out the rough spots we usually had to live with or customise to make them nicer to play and hear.

The amp is really what gets my attention here. Swart Space Tone Pro, spectacular amp. I suspect this fine guitar would likely sound sublime through the Retro 45 2x12 also. Nice vid, Thanks

If I didn't already have a great Nocaster or if I needed another Tele, I'd order an LsL. It's VERY close to my Nocaster tonally and would be happy to own this guitar. It's a truly fantastic guitar, really shakes acoustically and comes with 6105 frets (my favorite to refret with) thin nitro etc... Look how great the frets and nut work is on the Macro closeup pics in the video. They care what they're doing at LsL.

Yes, Roknfnrol is correct, Celestion Anniversary G12H30. It's my favorite speaker, very musical sounding.

Thanks! The pickups are vintage style and about the same output as my Nocaster.

Not yet, but it's getting close. Over the years, I've had other guitars with 6105s and really like them, perfect balance between height/width and intonation. As they get worn down, the intonation is better, since they have less crown to wear unevenly.

Thank you! Sorry never played those other brands of guitars. If you prefer lower action then consider 9.5" radius fingerboard instead of the original Fender 7.25". It's a great compromise of slight vintage feel but lower action capabilities.

Im a die hard fender guy but this company has something special going on, I'm a student at the musicians institute and my two favorite teachers Vadim Zilbershtein (Earth Wind and Fire) and Carl Verheyen (super tramp, top LA session cat) both play LsL guitars and there is a certain vibe these instruments produce that i haven't heard from another company yet. -Nicky V

Not sure what’s up with the Fender bridge, but you won’t find a better qualified more standup builder than Lance. He and his artisan staff are badass.

@rockingroove112 No real tips, other than to listen to music from artists you enjoy and absorb what you can. Check out Bill Frisell, Daniel Lanois, Buddy Miller for some of my favorite musicians.

Hi Greg - Thanks for the response. I played a AST Pro and loved everything except would like controls on the front or top and a master volume. Have you played an AST Master? I was wondering if there was much difference in tone between the AST Master and Pro. It is hard to find a dealer with both in stock. Looking forward to your next demos!

hey Greg, great playing as usual. Question regarding the LSL neck (if you remember), you mention its a C shape but is it as large as a nocaster neck. I am thinking of picking up and lsl but can't handle the size of a nocaster neck. Thanks in advance.

Go out and try a Mario Martin handmade Telecaster from a small custom guitar maker in Nashville Tn. They are truly made for the name awesome, the one I played was made from wood from the Paulawnia tree .... super light weight , the lightest most perfect guitar I've ever played.
