Hey FirstThirtyMinutes security guards have the power to detain people if they are a danger to themselves, the public or the security guard. You could still have detain the suspect that came at you with a knive or acting acting suspicious you have the power to detain someone as a security call. Then if you find there not safe to be released into the public. Call the police and put the suspect in their car.

Thank you everyone for their comments about the role of security officers at airports. In this instance, I am acting like these are security officers at a mall but instead of a mall they work at an airport. Hopefully, this clears any misunderstandings up.

+FirstThirtyMinutes Police 10-13. It's not out yet. However if you gave it more publicity it would help the developmental process. They are looking for more developers and investors and the more publicity the better the game could be. It looks like a real solid Police Simulator. From what they advertised it looks like what anyone who loves police simulators wants out of a game. With 200k Subs you could bring the spotlight on it!

Actually, security may not have arresting power, but they DO have detaining power. Before you say that they are the same thing, read this: Arresting means that the the subject(s) is/are detained and taken to prison/other law punishment Detaining means that the subject(s) is/are unable to continue normal activities, and are questioned/punished in some way at the scene.

You should be able to detain a suspect as a security guard and call a precinct to have an officer sent out to your location to further investigate and arrest the suspect should the need arise

Im a security guard. Even a guard in the mall (PSC) can making arrest for tresspassing. An arrest as a security guard is a citizens arrest

They have the power to make a citizens arrest only A.K.A detain them even by using handcuffs until law enforcement arrives. But I really did enjoy the switch-up to a security guard patrol instead of the regular police officer ones :)

In California, Security Officers have the power to arrest, the same as citizens. They may arrest them but are not required to follow the same procedures as LEOs. They may also issue citations on private property. They may also use handcuffs to detain/arrest.

As security in most states you can detain for local law. it is called citizens arrest. Once you detain them you are required to call police and can only release to them.

+FirstThirtyMinutes, I own a security agency and depending on what state you are in you are allowed to have red and blue lights (Texas is one of those states) and also you are allowed to use handcuffs. Security uses handcuffs to detain people until PD comes and takes them away. In places like Kansas City you will see security patrolling in sections of the city on the streets, they are basically surveillance officers/community patrol officers. Security has a lot more duties than what most think. On my channel I play the roll of an LSRSS (Los Santos Regional Security Sheriff) officer and our duty involves being the eyes and ears for the police.

AirPort Security is usually Transportation Security Administration(TSA) which falls under Department of Homeland Security. TSA officers Can arrest and some Times They are Armed with rifle.

Hey man, love this video! I dont know the rules in LA, but here in Norway, Airport security have the right to "arrest" and detain people who are a threat to the security of the airport, like this guy running around with a knife. You should have arrested him and called prisoner transport. And it would have been super awesome if you could use the lightbar that the vespucci beach rescue Granger have on a security Crown Vic! LAX Airport Police, the real life counterparts to your LSIA Airport Security are sworn police officers. They do carry handguns, automatic rifles, tasers, and batons (standard police gear); they do in fact have the power to detain and arrest, issue citations, and perform patrols just like police officers in the city. However, their jurisdiction is limited to the on airport facilities, off airport facilities (nearby hotels, restaurants) and airport rented lands on the outskirts. They do cooperate with local law enforcement such as the LAPD, LASD etc. Their duties include patrol of the perimeters around LAX, traffic enforcement, arresting of criminals on airport property, security of all airport facilities and businesses/accommodations on the premises and nearby, and answering calls from the TSA and tenants of Los Angeles World Airports property (businesses, restaurants, hotels, golf courses, etc.) Van Nuys Airport Police have the same exact duties. Hope this helps out!

Airport security can make "arrests", however they don't do transport, they call the cops in, and by "arrests" they are really detaining them. However, not being law enforcement means they are not constricted by illegal search and seizure. Therefore at 7:10 you should have arrested the RTC people, called for a squad car (on the side of the runway) and have them taken away. Of course, tow the cars like you did. That's just what I would have done. That is the easiest way to roleplay the real- life situation.

If it was for real, you'd have arrest powers. Every citizen can arrest a person that is suspected from committing a felony or misdemeanor. Nice skin though!
