JD5 was confident the first half of the season, he was just very conservative. Which makes sense as he had only been in Baton Rouge since March. Once he got more comfortable with the atmosphere and the offense, he was able to fully unleash.

That wasn't a 10 year old fat kid lol. That was a grown man who works with the field crew to clean up all the equipment before the field gets rushed. You could see his credentials on his right hip in the vid

​@@tankcommander33 Yep, and I have a tremendous amount of respect for what he's done at both LSU and Alabama. But that doesn't mean I don't want this loss to push him into retirement the way Bear Bryant's loss to LSU in 1982, among other things, pushed him into retirement. I'm old enough to remember that win and this one was even sweeter. Geaux Tigers!

@Stephen Chalmers I'm not a Bama fan, lord knows Bama has pulled the carpet from under my feet so many times. However, the utter disrespect that I have heard from 1 season is unbearable. The GOAT of college coaching got there for a reason

Last season was rock bottom. Now we have a new coach, a new team culture, and the first win over Alabama at home in 13 seasons. There's definitely a reason to celebrate and it's only going to get better moving forward.

You got it all wrong. This team wasn't even supposed to compete this year. Most people pegged them to win, at most, 5...POSSIBLY 6 games total all year. Brian Kelly and Jayden Daniels have been criticized heavily all season and a lot of people said Kelly wouldn't make it in the SEC as a coach or Daniels as a quarterback. LSU was a sub .500 team at best the past 2 seasons and didn't even have a solid offensive line until mid-season and if you look at their roster, there are a crap ton of players who arrived on the team via the transfer portal THIS YEAR. So for you to say what you did and justify it in the manner you did is a slap in the face to what LSU had to overcome in order to get to where they are now. Bama is supposed to be the pinnacle for competition in our side of the division and LSU overcame that in year 1. So yeah, beating them was a big deal considering all that I've had to say, plus LSU was double digit underdogs coming into the game and a lot of "experts" said LSU wouldn't even make a game of it.

All that is true but there have been years of frustration, losing to Alabama in the final seconds in tiger stadium. Believe me, I was there for some of those and that is one reason I got so emotional about this game.
