I met Mr. Cole at a World War II history history event in Fayetteville Georgia some years ago and asked him if the movie 30 Seconds Over Tokyo was accurate to which he responded "It was spot on."

President Trump signed this man’s award. Lt. Col. Dick Cole was a fine officer, flyer, and human being. I recommend to my fellow watchers to search out an buy the movie: “Thirty-Seconds Over Tokyo.” It presents the feeling and sense of the men on that mission, some of their training and their skills. It starred Van Johnson, Spencer Tracy-playing Doolittle, many other great actors, such as Robert Mitchum. What a movie, what history. But, thank you beyond measure to Lt. Col. Dick Cole and fellows on the “Doolittle Raid.”

Very strange editing at the end and it just ends abruptly.

The interviewer, in my opinion, is inept, in that he is feelings based , not fact based, in his interrogation. He fails to establish a factual base for his questions concerning this man’s feelings. Nothing wrong with feelings but facts first. So much more could have been done to hear from this brave man.
