Great information! I've recently ditched the MSD fuel system on my 377" single turbo sbc and have started gathering the components for the 24x/0411 swap. As well as purchased HP tuners. Hopefully I can get enough fuel to the truck with this setup as the MSD could only feed 650 crank hp and at 10psi it was attempting to command 115-120% injector duty cycle (can't supply over 100%). Keep up the good work!
How do you put a different OS on the pcm for your specific transmission selection and better pressure calculations for boost like 3 bar ecu instead of 1 bar
alwaysup2late honestly I have very limited knowledge on Ford's. I know my GM's pretty well and the Cummins I play with are all mechanical. But I'm pretty sure HPtuners and efi live are only for the newer trucks. I'd do the TS 6 position switch like everyone else does with the 7.3's. I'd be afraid to tune an auto diesel. I'm sure I could figure out how to crank it up but you'd probably want someone with experience on where to stop and what settings are good for a stock trans or whatever you are running. I wouldn't mind getting a newer manual truck some day and learn how to play with the tunes on them.
HorsepowerTube that makes sense! The transmission and shift points are mainly what I want to update, it shifts like garbage on most settings except 140hp on the TS but is jumpy on 140 too so it’s something I will be sorting out in a couple months I think
