the sped-up training moments really highlight one of my biggest problems with Dale. He really, truly believes that doing the same combo over and over and over again in training is "labbing." You can only practice a combo so many times until your execution can't be improved. The key issue he's facing is ignoring all of the options the game has to allow him to experiment with different interactions between characters he struggles with. If you are the type of player to pick the same character as your "lab partner" every time, you're missing the point. Case in point: LTG only ever trains against Kazuya, because it doesn't matter who he's using as a punching bag.

Because the majority are overly reliant on one or two things, they wanna turtle? Likely can't tech throws, throw em. They wanna be aggressive? Sidestep. They wanna be flashy? Bait you into a launcher combo? Sidestep, parry, backstep, move better. When you disrespect people while having no skill, it bites you in Tekken. He spams shoulder charge? sidestep, launcher, combo. He does that sweep? Backstep into a power crush. That little low-low-mid? block, retaliate. He doesn't know anything else. And when you download all three of the moves his 62 IQ ass can barely remember from T6, he wants to get mad and blame the game.
