Just finished a job in Georgia that had a LTM1450 , LTM1750 and a LTM11200. The 1750 had 298 foot of luffing jib and the 11200 had 413 foot of luffing jib and the 1450 had 275 foot of luffing jib. I was told all 3 cranes were at there maximum configuration. Had maximum luffing jib and maximum counter weights and the heaviest peace that was picked on the project was 24,500 lbs one of 12 roof trusses that was set with the 11200 at a radius of 442 feet all other picks with the cranes ranged from 12,000 lbs to as low ass 150 lbs. The only reason such big cranes were needed on this project is because the job sit was so far away from were the closest crane could be setup. So a job that a 50 ton crane could do if it could be setup at the perfect place was instead left to a 500 ton, 900 ton and 1200 ton cranes
It's always the same, you tell them how many space you'll need for setup and around the crane but when you arrive there's mostly still some stuff to move away
@@nostopalveluj.helaakoskioy5481 I know, you need professional, highly -trained, -skilled and -payed people for this job I'm a mobile crane operator, on a bit smaller level LTM 1130 3.1 and see this on every 2nd job we arrive. Best thing was last week they built a scaffold over the entry way for the crane, it took 4 hours to tear it down ... I got paid for 4h coffee break. But hear the contractors whining about the costs.
@@denisfengler5257 it was a joke. Such a long and complicated assembly process, and the idea that when it's all done, someone finds an extra part that they now have to find where it should be. Notice my timestamp is hypothetically after the end of the actual video
