As a male, I can't relate to most of it. As a male living with his little sister though, I can say that they do smell worse when they're on their periods

If you don't like the smell, they do have feminine wipes that help a lot when you're on your period or just in general. I also hate the smell when I'm on it and they wipes work wonders!
some women get different body chemistry so their sweat will smell different even to themselves, another reason why we get grumpy during period because we're aware of it

@ponpon Yes, i've experienced this too and it sucks, and i'm a girl. There are some people that can't use those products because of how easily they get infections, but I do understand where you're coming from. It is gross.
@ponpon there's the risk of developing toxic shock syndrome with menstrual cups and tampons because they're meant to be inside the body rather than lining the underwear like a pad. There's also the fact that good quality menstrual cups (medical grade silicone) can be pretty expensive. Not to mention that everyone's cervix shape is different and it might be a lot easier and more convenient for some to just keep using pads. I definitely get the smell you're talking about though, our bathrooms would smell pretty yucky at times.
