Yes, I'm a believer too! I have a 2004 Mercury Marauder with the 4.6 4 valve cobra motor in her, I was experiencing hesitation under normal acceleration, and full throttle, I added this today, and the hesitation is all but gone. Good stuff!
I've used this stuff for years. It does work very well. Use it both my car and my truck. It also worked wonders on my fuel injected 2009 Honda 4 wheeler. It is not just for fuel injected vehicles. I use it in my carbureted lawn tractor and my snow blower. It cleans carbs just as well. Excellent product.
Most likely the fuel injector had deposit build up and didnt allow for the correct fuel to air ratio in the combustion chamber which was causing the rough idle. The lucas cleared up the build up and fixed the issue. Easy fix.
My #2 injector clogged for having crappy contaminated gasoline where I live. Before spending money on a new injector and labor, I did a hail mary and added a full bottle to half a tank. The thing unclogged and it's now running smooth. Still adding half a bottle every fill up. It really works.
My check engine light was on for my 2009 Kia, and it was running pretty poorly with hard idles. Through a bottle in and it cleared everything up. Light went off after a while and the engine sounds brand new. Amazing stuff.
Upper cylinder lube and cleaning agents. These products quieten the motor.Adds smoother power. Prevents the issues coming back. Pleased you had great results 👍.
Used Lucas FIC for years. Great product. Have a 2010 CTS for over 11 years with over 112K miles & it runs as good as new. Just sold a 2012 Ford Fusion with over 242K miles & used the Lucas FIC in it also. The Ford also ran as good as new with no issues.
How many miles on the Ecoboost? Has it helped keep the valve sludge to a minimum? I use use this stiff biweekly but haven't looked through the scope yet to check.
Been using Lucas tune up in a tube, for 35 plus years, add a bottle every 3-5 tank fulls, never had a warning light on dashboard of any vehicle, nor had MOT failure on emissions on annual test ( smog ) does exactly what it says on the tin
I started using it and my fuel mileage went up from 31.4 to 36.9 after A half dozen tanks of fuel. I will be buying the gallon jug because it is cheaper and refilling my liter bottle up with it.
"Drove it around the block and it was running better". Seriously, Dude? That's not even enough time for the Lucas to make it through the fuel line and reach your engine.
I buy the bigger bottle, and refill the smaller bottle. Better value, also I add the smaller bottle to every time I fill up. Seems like a waste, but my 2006 Chevy Colorado with over 200,000 miles runs like a top. I purchase the larger bottle on sale for $12.00, and I can get six smaller bottle refills.
You have to put that stuff when you get a car that is new like 10 k miles or 40 k after 70 k and you never put that your car is doom or lose power that will help it but the seal are damage
Do not use gasw/ethanol inside. Use only premiun gas all the time w/ethanol. This stuff is good for long time to clean injectors, for the rest I'm not sure. What means 5 $ more at the 60l tank gas price.
There is nothing in a can or BOTTLE that you can pour in a diesel or gas engine to help performance. Fuel filters in a box will clean injectors, changing coil over plug rubber insulators will stop miss fires .
Use the correct octane recommended by the manufacturer unless you specifically suspect pre ignition issues (which should be addressed) or you have extra money you don’t like keeping.
