Loved that scene when it aired and watched it many times since. What a great teacher Lucas is! No one changed his character. He was always a good guy( He saved a widow from a burning building..... He was so kind, respectful and patient with E) and always good with children.
Loved this scene ,Lucas would definitly make a good teacher. As a matter of fact he would be good at any role he played. He’s that good if an actor. After watching WCTH he’s become my favourite actor.
I love Lucas. i love seeing more of his layers that i know we have seen alittle but shines here with Elizabeth, with Little Jack,. With kids. He is great with kids. I can see him doing this at times but still with his saloon. As i love him there. Love him here too and his passion for books can be helpful in the book mobile idea.
Love Lucas' helping out Elizabeth. With his love of books and how good he has always been with children ( understanding Allie's struggle with going to a new school because she had moved around so much with Uncle, trying to help her feel better and readily talking with her when she felt the pressure of the "triangle",. patient with Cody in teaching him a coin trick, working with the children to make lanterns, and always greeting LJ warmly and winning a Teddy Bear for him ) I am not surprised at how well he performed as a substitute Teacher. The writers have not changed Lucas this season. They just expanded upon what we already knew about Lucas and allowed us to see a little deeper into his heart. Lucas has impeccable manners. He speaks politely and respectfully to adult and child alike. This character is a great example for young men - for all men!!! Thank you JT, BB, All WCTH writers, producers, and cast (especially CM and EK).. You have blessed so many and May God bless you all!
HEY! I’m always carried away with Lucas Bouchard! During his 1st appearance at Season 6 episode 2 Queen Of Hearts, he is so persevering with tons of fun in a magician kind of a way. I was passionate when he became Elizabeth’s substitute teacher for the 1st time. When Elizabeth returned, she almost got hit with the baseball. In fact after Lucas’s lesson and the students want him back, I said, “Ha! I knew I can count on him!” Love him so much! 💕
This show is so great. Tonight's episode was just heartwarming. These actors are so talented. And to L&E fans. Can Lucas & Elizabeth get anymore cute and precious. I am so thankful for this show.💫💫🧡💚
I love this scene, my 4th grade teacher taught the class very similar to how this scene plays out. We used to play a game called silent ball, we get up on our desks and throw the ball in total silence, with only facial looks and gestures to guide us. If you missed you're out and sit back down on your chair. Then He'd made it interesting like use you less dominate hand, or boys throw to girls and girls to boys. It was soo fun and we always laughed! I miss Lucas having this much screen time and his charm!!! The writers blew up a great character, romance and potential for the future!
So funny! Before the season started one of my predictions is that Lucas would somehow lose the Saloon and end up becoming a teacher for the older children as Elizabeth’s school has to expand to accommodate the new students. Last week he said he wishes he had more passion for his work… maybe this is his future!!
I would still prefer him with having the saloon as that’s important place in the show and for community. We know he never wants to sell that. So maybe he can do both. Have the saloon which is fine place for all. And do teaching if they need sub teachers and the book wagon idea too
I totally agree! I do NOT want to see Lucas teaching full time. He is a business man which is partially what makes his character so interesting. They say opposites attract. To me L and E are opposites yet have so much in common! The episodes have gotten better each week. The last episode was definitely the best yet. L and E are becoming so comfortable with each other and their relationship. Chris and Erin are such great actors. They react so naturally and spontaneously that their chemistry is electrifying!!! I enjoy the episodes most when L and E dominate the air time. However, I also hope that a storyline for Nathan and someone (?) develops as well. I don't know if M is the right choice. Only time will tell. I thought Nathan and Faith would be a good pair. I have detected a slight twinge of jealousy when Faith sees N and M together. I may be miss reading the body language, but that would be an interesting love triangle. The WCTH writers seem to gravitate toward triangles. Again, only time will tell!!! Lee and Rosemary are always entertaining and adorable too. In any event, it is the absolute BEST show on television right now!!!
@@carolynlatta5108 I love the idea of him being both as mentioned above. Having the Saloon is the go to place for all and do something with books and reading like the book mobile idea too. He can help out and we have seen from the start how great he is with kids - with Little Jack, here and the kids he met outside in the episode.
When Lucas was first introduced on the show, his character was a bit suspicious. As the seasons have progressed, I keep seeing more and more layers to his personality. Who knew how engaging he could be while teaching a group of students?!? 😍 I like him more with every episode. This is true of so many of the cast which is why I love WCTH. The characters are fully developed and I enjoy their interactions with one another.
We got to know why he was mysterious and when we got to know the reason - he was indeed a good man. Being honorable and protective. For saving his widow friend Janette (the one we heard on the phone in french few episodes ago),. He saved her from a fire and loan sharks who burnt it down and took her money and he got it back which is why he was quiet about his being here and protecting her.
@@varisol6675 Exactly! We soon learned that his "mysterious character" was only a result of his wanting to help someone else. :) I'm glad he didn't remain "under suspicion" for too long and we soon saw his protective nature.
I really liked Elizabeth, but after what she did to Lucas, it proves that she doesn't deserve him. For me, now the series is no longer about her, but about him. I hope Fiona gives him the value he so deserves.
NOT Fiona!!!!! No one on HV deserves Lucas. Fiona has been nothing but trouble for Lucas. From spying on him to the oil sale debacle... I prefer he remains single.
This was a great scene. Lucas has not only been a wonderful mentor for Little Jack & Allie, but he definitely won the respect of ALL the children. He proved it further in the episode when he helped the children with the 'hot springs'. Everything was going beautifully.... especially when Lucas proposed to Elizabeth with Little Jack's help...until SOMEONE got a ridiculous idea & Season 10 was created. Such an obnoxious idea, especially the reason that was given for Elizabeth to cancel their wedding. Season 11 has started & I still can't comprehend that people think the changes that are being made make sense. There needed to be a more believable story to show problems for Elizabeth & Lucas AND Elizabeth having 'feelings' for Nathan from the beginning....UGH! I will try to continue watching WCTH but I just can't watch Elizabeth & Nathan. Elizabeth's character has been changed too much & not for the better. Her character is ugly, selfish, childish, rude, annoying & unlikeable. Hopefully the storylines for Lucas, Mike & Mei, Lee & Rosemary, Bill, the Canfield's, Henry, Faith, etc will be great so WCTH can continue with more new Seasons.
