Veriano's voice sounds very full and his vibrato less problematic than I have heard on other later recordings. Wonderful trio, Freni is, as usual, incomparable. Cappucilli solid and melodic. I agree VL is a bit too loud, but all together this is a wonderfully done scene- bravi a tutti! :)
Luchetti sounds too loud probably due to a sound engeneering problem rather than him trying to outsing the other interpreters. In some parts he doesn't sound loud. But I find no problems in his rendition. His voice is not the most beautiful tone ever, but the dramatic weight he carries on it makes it up.
@@axelzeltsch1668 You are right but there is a first version of rhis opera dated 1857. The final version dated 1881 changed consistently some parts of it, but the singing of the tenor remains with the original feature .
