Über Diego Florez erübrigt sich jeder Kommentar, einfach nur fabelhaft expressiv. Und das Orchester der Wr. Staatsoper unter dem wunderbare Tempi wählenden Dirigat Weltklasse pur.

I think the Italian audience have become more tolerant and less knowledgeable about Opera Standards also. There's a lot of praising going on in the comments here about the principles here, they like what they see and what they hear.
I don't know what they are doing to Opera today. They have certainly taken the Grand out of Grand Opera. These new directors today have all kinds of strange ideas. It's like they never read the story or the libretto. What a shame !
L'ho ascoltata due volte per essere sicuro ed è sbalorditivo: l'unico che valga la pena ascoltare è Florez che fa sfoggio ( forse anche troppo) di una voce consolidata dal timbro bellissimo e squillante ; nonostante qualche critico sia qui che a Milano ha regalato due Edgardo veramente convincenti. Petean fa quasi tenerezza quando cerca di cantare nel duetto della torre con lo stesso ritmo ( e acuti ) di Florez..acuti appunto che mancano di spessore e che non danno alcuna autorevolezza a Enrico. Brutto per dire brutto il duetto con Lucia dell'inizio secondo atto. Un artista di provata esperienza e valore come lui dovrebbe sapere quale è il suo repertorio spiace sentirlo fuori parte e sempre alla ricerca della nota che, secondo me, non trova mai. Un momento per la peretyatko: non posso dire che non sappia cantare perché nel fraseggio non è male ma appena si avventura verso la parte acuta stasera è davvero un disastro. Non riesce o non vuole rischiare l'ombra di una nota alta condannando lei e l'intera rappresentazione ad una mediocrità non tollerabile a Vienna ( difatti il pubblico mi è parso molto tiepido per non dire freddo). Non conosco il basso ma pensando alla scala e al magnifico Pertusi meglio non commentare.
Si è accorta subito nella caballetta "Quando rapita in estasi" che i sovracuti non entravano bene e non ha più voluto rischiare rimanendo in "confort zone". Devo dire però che la voce e il fraseggio sono belli ed eleganti.

Excellentes Dirigat! Florez hat unbezahlbare Vorzüge als Tenor: Stimme, Aussehen und Darstellung. Ein rarer Glücksfall auf den Bühnen der Welt. (Lang ist`s her, daß Carreras in Wien auf der Bühne war) Eine gute kultivierte Aufführung. Die Kostüme hätte ich mir etwas weniger sparsam gewünscht.
wie kann man nur Florez mit Carreras vergleichen - ok vielleicht vom Aussehen her... grins... aber die Stimmen der Beiden wäre wie Kaviar mit Kohl zu vergleichen... brrr.

Das beruhigt meine Nerven und macht mir ein Gefühl wie als Kind Märchenfilme zu gucken, vielleicht finde ich dann emotional einen besseren Zugang zur Musik. Ähnlich wie mir in meiner frühen Jugend eine Romeo&Julia-Verfilmung das Tor zu Shakespeare aufgeschlossen hat. Ich gebe das gerne zu. Mehr Mut zu Ausstattung! Wir gehen ja nicht nur mit unserem Neokortex in die Oper, sondern auch mit unserem limbischen System
@@19767 Wohl war. Der Trend die story immer weiter in`s Alltägliche zu ziehen - ohne dabei in sensitiver Art geerdet zu ein - hat sich aufgebraucht. Lasst uns weiter hoffen: und von der Regel abweichen kann auch erfrischend sein. (Theaterstücke haben mein Interesse an Geschichte und später Politik geweckt.)
Quante polemiche si tira sempre dietro quest'opera molto amata, la povera Lucia non troverà mai pace. La Callas ha fatto scuola e ha detto come andava fatta. Ma non si vive di solo Callas...bisogna pur andare avanti. Ci sono molti punti dove la musica è così dolente, dolentissima, e si pensa al suo dolore, al suo male, male che Donizetti stesso poi provò su di sé. Potesse questa musica consolare il dolore di tante persone come Lucia che oggi sono tra i dimenticati. Questa musica non è solo bella: ha di più. (Comunque personalmente senza flauto è monca)
I can't stop railing against this production. Ridiculos. OK, it's snowing....but indoors? And the chorus movements? OK, everyone step forward one step, then step back two. Absolutely no realizm or logic to the blocking. And Lucia?? Yes, she a bit off from the beginning; but a raging lunatic in the first scene? Oh, what has got into the Wien Staatsoper. Even Florez can't salvage this production.
You’re right-it’s subjective. But I’ve been to at least 100 different opera houses, and I keep coming back to Vienna, and one of the top reasons is the orchestra. I’ve never heard another like it (yet…one may exist).

@@ЛюдмилаСевастополь-ы4у Флорес, к сожалению, такой же любитель гонораров. Зимой в Карнеги концерт отменил по здоровью, а через три дня не постеснялся выйти на сцену Чикагского симфонического. Так вот после услышанного я больше никогда не заплачу денег за «удовольствие» послушать этого господина, пусть даже это и были временные «проблемы со здоровьем». Честно отмени и верни гонорар. Ну или пой дальше с Бержанской и Перетятькой.

@@ЛюдмилаСевастополь-ы4уДостаточно иметь уши. Консервная банка не зазвучит лучше вживую, только ярче будет дребезжать. Олечка давно мертва, как колоратурное сопрано, кто вообще приходит ее слушать. Виртуозности у нее как у слона грации. Лирического драматизма с таким «голосищем» тоже не вымучишь))) Все мы знаем, каким образом ей удалось попеть на громких сценах. Но брак закончился, а ее певческий брак все продолжает оглашать сцены.
I still think Olga is great. My ears may not be sharp as the critics but Olga sings well. Why don't the critics try singing Lucia's role ? It's nice to see snow.
I hear often this idiotic comment when a singer is criticized. The critics do not sing Lucia because they have another profession. Peretyatko was awful. I was in the audience.
Il soprano che fa Lucia direi piuttosto scandaloso....in un teatro così mi meraviglia che facciano fare Lucia a una che non ha uno tracci odi Mi bemolle!!! In quanto agli altri nella sufficienza tranne Florez, he a parer mio è troppo leggero per fare Edgardo, ma non tenore non basta per fare Lucia!
Они там в Вене сильно ухи объелись. Ну какая из Перетятьки Лючия? В принципе, Лючия-бабушка в ритме пенсии. Она аж прям воет волчицей)))) Голоса и так не было, а сейчас остался один испанский стыд…. Но какие аплодисменты (тьфу, стыд и позор венской публике, кроме бу там ничего не заслужила она). К сожалению, Флорес ей тут достойный партнер, когда же он уже остановится, ведь прекрасно понимает свою сегодняшнюю форму ( слушал его зимой в Чикаго в достаточно камерном концерте - и там единственное, что можно было слушать, это перуанские народные песенки под самоаккомпанемент гитары…)
Peretyatko is awful, out of tune. She just doesn´t have the high notes. Why is she singing this? Boring voice anyway. Florez´s voice is too bright for Edgardo´s character. At least he tries.
Olga Peretyatko finde ich als Lucia gar nicht interessant. Sowohl stimmlich als auch schauspielerisch überzeugte sie mich nicht! Die Inszinierung ist auch nicht atemberaubend. Sorry aber diese Vorstellung, auch wenn aus der Wiener Staatsoper ausgetragen ist, ist für mich nur ein Durchschnitt oder noch weniger! LANGWEILIG!!!
Was für eine lächerliche Inszenierung !Una vera porcheria , brutta e sciatta .I poveri cantanti costretti a esibirsi in simili ridicole scene. Che umiliazione per Florez ( meraviglioso come sempre).Gli altri cantanti cosi cosi , il basso canta alla Burchuladze (con l'intonazione a scivolo ).
The soprano is so bad she cant even hold the E flat at the end of the mad scene not to mention it's stupidly slow tempo. She cant sing it at Donizetti's tempo

I love JDF with all my being…but I don’t love his voice for Edgardo. I want a bit heavier voice - one with more body. But it’s fun to hear his interpretation of the role in this otherwise ridiculous production. I’m clipping up his arias and watching it like a JDF concert. Why would they cast a Lucia without a solid Eb6 and a lack of dexterity? She has a lovely little voice, but I’m surprised she wasn’t booed off the stage here.
