Search RU-vid for “Nessum Dorma” sung by Luciano Pavarotti. It as an aria (solo) from the opera “Turandot”. It demonstrates the power and beauty of Pavarotti’s voice. He was one of the greatest tenors in opera history.

I am so happy that you reacted to this duet between James Brown and Luciano Pavarotti. I loved your reaction and the respect you showed for both of them although you had never heard of Pavarotti. Both of them are iconic. James Brown is called the Godfather of Soul, and Pavarotti is often thought to be the greatest operatic tenor of all time. Both of them are legends in their own genre of music. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE ONCE IN A LIFETIME COLLABORATIONS AND MOMENTS. They were born about the same time and died within a year of each other. James Brown 1933-2006 and Pavarotti 1935-2007. Their voices are so incredibly different but yet they blend so beautifully together. I am so thankful that it was recorded so that we can enjoy it. Pavarotti did a lot of collaborations with people in pop culture. He loved all kinds of music and asked James Brown to be part of one of his Pavarotti and Friends concerts. He had duets with Celine Dion, Freddy Mercury, Sting, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, and more. But this is by far my favorite. I grew up in Augusta Georgia. James Brown always tried to give back. He would come into the neighborhood and give out free 45 records to children and any adults outside. His drummer lived across the courtyard from my friends duplex. He came by to see him and called me inside from playing marbles. He sat me on his lap and asked me if I was a good girl and told me to work hard in school. When my grandmother and I moved to NY, he would often come to The Apollo and I got to see him perform quite a few times. It was always very dramatic. Someone would come on stage and drape a cape over his back and shoulders and help escort him off the stage. Women threw all sorts of items on the stage to him. He was called the God Father of Soul and the Hardest Working Man in Show Business. These are the lyrics being sung by Pavarotti: Man runs the power but doesn't know that great limits has to be how it will be done. In his palm he holds an idea that doesn't live in his imagination.. that he wanted. If you don't notice that, then noting makes sense if you live only for yourself. I don't listen to much secular music but I will subscribe and help you reach your goal.

James Brown was invited to the benefit concert of Luciano Pavarotti. It was an honor for every artist to sing with the greatest tenor on this planet. You will find more unbelievable duets if you search for "Pavarotti and friends". A series of yearly benefit concerts between 1992 and 2003 in Modena, Italy, the hometown of Pavarotti. If you want to hear one of the most popular performances of Pavarotti on youtube, then watch the aria "Nessun dorma": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cWc7vYjgnTs.html (The 3 tenors concert, 1994 in L.A.). Another version of Nessun dorma with a younger Pavarotti: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I-Ee4eZm7tw.html You can imagine that this aria is only one of many Pavarotti had made to unique masterpieaces. He had the great gift to touch your soul with his voice.

That is a good choice. I have heard both of them many times but teaming up Pavarotti and James Brown? Wow. Luciano was known for opera, but he crossed over and explored other genaras. I enjoyed it.

React to Pavarotti and Celine Dion "I Hate You, Then I Love You" - 24 million views and its in English. If you think there were a lot of people in this video , Pavarotti's concert in Central Park drew 500,000 people in the audience. Not bad for an opera singer.

Basically Luciano Pavarotti is the James Brown of Opera. He is considered to be the hardest working man in Opera. Unfortunately he died of pancreatic cancer some years ago.

I think black people enjoy Opera very much. I haven't heard any black people sing opera, are there any professionals? I would like to listen. I think it's a new style for you guys and it would be nice if more people tried. I bet there are talents we never imagined discovering.

this is so big that we don't really realize it. Now you have to check that they have a program here in the Netherlands that called unbelieveable duets. OMG they threw some mayonnaise over this song. they have a folk singer sing along and at the end they say he is better than james brown. Luckily he says he's not that good but really they committed a crime
