Well the tesla plaid channel ran one and beat it 3x with his Plaid. He ran 9.2s and the Sapphire ran mid to upper 9s. Thats on a prepped track too. The torque was making the wheels spin too much. Traction was a problem. Juat imagine on the street....the Plaid will win most of the time with superior traction.
Check out the new Drag time video. Sapphire/Plaid side by side with the Sapphire putting car lengths on the Plaid. Brooks own a Plaid and admits the Sapphire is noticeably more powerful.
@@razor_ramon_ Where did you get it's different from state to state? I believe it's the same price throughout the US. However, Tesla prices change often. When I bought my car a few months ago Ultra red was a no cost option and now it's now $2,500. As far as that Sapphire it's a great car but it's pretty hard to justify it costing 2.7 times Plaid.
$150,000 more than a Plaid. But this car wasn’t made for the budget minded. It’s a luxury car that happens to be faster than a Plaid. Unlike the Plaid, which is a fast car made purely for marketing purposes.
Plaid is a one trick pony. Fast in a Straight line. Sapphire is also a luxury track beast. Think of an electric version of a Porsche 911 gt3 with 4doors. And then look at how much a gt3 costs. The sapphire is not meant to be sold in high volume
