HOW COULD HE WRITE THESE LETTERS AND NOT GET THE DEATH PENALTY

A guy walks into a school and kills 17 people, and you have to debate whether the death penalty should be applied?! When someone commits such a heinous crime and there's no doubt about his guilt, he should be terminated, and quickly. The death penalty is not a deterrent if we keep coddling these killers. Mental issues? Rough childhood? Who cares.

The fact that he promised to get someone to kill whoever this person is WHILE he is in jail just proves that he truly is a danger to himself and to others.

That letter is HAUNTING! What an absolutely horrific thing for that poor girl to have to know about. To think that he blames his rejection for his actions and names her specifically is just… unfathomable. That poor girl, I feel awful for her. Those drawings! I means if all of this alone doesn’t tell you that he has no remorse and knew exactly what he did and did so happily and willfully from a well thought out plan should be enough.

I hope someone understands that this court case is getting ridiculous.

how is sending a message to other people like him going to help this situation? this court system is atrocious. giving him any platform at all is a mistake.. the last thing these people should be given is fame. but this sending messages to the entire world from jail is just completely the opposite of what should be done. this is disgusting.

Capital punishment fits this crime. He murdered children in cold blood. Thought it out, planned it out, and carried it out. He admitted guilt. The juror that sat through all this and still thought he didn’t deserve the death penalty, is the reason why these crimes continue to happen. Empathy should not have been felt for him. If this would’ve happened to them I’m sure that juror would’ve wanted the Maximum penalty as well. The hypocrisy. Why have a punishment if it can’t be used.
