I think I'm the first to see these lyrics I'm going to get some analysts to comment on it very soon. We have already analysed Kenny Rogers' which portrays Lucille as beautiful hurting woman and the husband as a hardworking man. The commentary is here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0i_M1f9Q5v4.html
@@Twinedickens Ogumire? Lucille should be clear on whether she made love with the stranger. At RwamaPedia we analysed Kenny Rogers' Lucille, and found that Lucille's new man actually had reason not to make love with her.
Yes, I agree with you, Elzè.. there's a reason for every action. How wonderful it would have been if you & Kenny were to duet both your versions while he was alive .. Rest in Peace, Kenny. We will always miss you and thank you for leaving us with awesome songs that gave us an insight into our own lives .. Adieu 🙏
Right, abandoning ones children because you're not happy. I know it's a song, but some songs are based on reality and hit closer to home for many of us.
@@Poppa99very true. My uncle had a girlfriend named Lucille who just left her children after she broke up with my uncle. She would not pay child support.
Elze Rose!! Today I am hearing this song for the first time. I was listening to my favourite artiste of all times and your song just showed up on the list. Oh what a beautiful response. It actually had me laughing so hard. As others have said, l wish you were able to sing along with dear Kenny. I will always play this response whenever l play his version. Thank you for this very creative piece.❤❤❤❤❤ it.
Ok, we now have both sides of the story. I was really pissed off with you for leaving four hungry children and crop in the field. Now I know better. Thanks you very much Lucille
An analysed has suggested that the children are not hungry for food because there're crops in the field. Here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0i_M1f9Q5v4.html
@@kellyrwamapera9341 - I’ll confess I didn’t watch the whole analysis but just for fun here are my thoughts. A second party (the man) observed that the husband’s hands were callused. This was included to provide credibility to the husbands declaration, that and he was a mountain indicates physical labor. Food needs to be prepared to be edible and if the children are very young, they need to be served. No, I think Lucille was trying desperately to change this guys mind.
@@kellyrwamapera9341 it was food they were lacking, because no one was around to make them hot meals! Lucille was busy bar hopping, and the husband had a crop to harvest. 🥂🍺Cheers!
theres nothing that can beat original- hungry for laughter, here and ever after, am after whatever the other life brings... Kenny was a legend. am only seeing the reply today nov 2022- and its wonderful. but i still wont approve Lucile breaking the struggling family- family means working together in good times and bad times- as long as there is no abuse, especially physical abuse
The song "Lucille" introduced me to country music, my favourite genre to date. I was fresh out of high school. I related to the song soo well since I was nursing a massive heartbreak from a girl named Lucy. 7 years later, I have stumbled on "Lucille's" response. Well guys, let me tell you something: Just like Lucy, she's lying😂. Anyway, the response is a nice song with soul touching vocals. I have added a song on the list of my favourites.
Yeah! I am relating mine story! Great composition improvised by a sensitive pretty lady! Amazing voice! Amazing masterpiece! May all of the masses be furnished with this super lyrics of a beautiful song from a witty lady?
I keep coming back to Lucille and its "sequels". I'm just fascinated by the collaborative storytelling. "Lucille's Answer" is rather interesting because it seems to paint Lucille as an unreliable narrator rather than have her be frank about it all.
I gave this some thought (just for fun) and I have to say I don’t feel the response rings true. We have a second party (original song) observing that the mans (husband) hands “were callused”. This observation was included, in my feeble attempt to analyze the song, to provide credibility to the husband’s accusations. No I think this hussy was desperately trying to get this man to sleep with her.
Woooowww!!!,,that was amazing.. The coin has always two sides..Ha ha ha.. Well,,the late Kenny Rogers will surely listen to Lucille.. Thanks for sharing...
This is just so very good I don't know what else I can say! Funny, tender, a bit angry - very well done:) Also a good reminder that men lie, too - because obviously Lucille's version is the true one - come on, does Lucille look like a woman who has had four babies?! Not a bit! And just because HE wears a cowboy hat does not mean for a minute he is a rancher..... Well Done!
