I very much enjoyed 'This Weeks Interview'. I hope this becomes a regular feature. It would be great to interview a Bovril bottle and get it to tell us its whole life story from manufacture, purchase from a shop, and then its brief time spent in a family home before being thrown away. Just imagine the stories it could tell. That's why I love bottle digging as it allows so many beautiful old bottles to start new chapters in their existence after so many years of being forgotten under the ground.
Happy digging today. King David could bend a bow of bronze or iron. How ripped was he? Maybe you could bring a tine spreader with you if there is such a thing if not invent one. Enjoyed the laughter.
Willie, I'm the same age as your Mum, but I'm not particular. 02/18/1942 so whose older she or I? My fishing friend and I were at His house one day on my Birthday and she said , I'm baking birthday goodies. "How did you know it's my birthday", I asked. "This is Carl's "", she said. It had never come up before, we were born the same day and year, but I was a few hours older, so I said "You will have to address me as Sir", and he said "Sir, my Butt", only he didn't say butt. He passed about 10 years ago, but we had great times together. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, M'AM:) Cheers, Rik Spector
31:14 I bet The Rock would get a really good laugh out of this, especially since you actually bent the prongs. 😁🤣🤣 Can you imagine having him join you on a dig? That would be epic! 😲😜😂
Wow! This video has everything! Love it! I can’t pick a favorite find, there are so many! The tiny lavender water has a slight edge over the ginger jar maybe. . . Love elderflower cordial too, and the interview was hilarious!
Thanks Elizabeth! Glad you enjoyed it! It took me a while to compose myself after 'The Rock' part! I couldn't stop laughing! I actually cut out a fair chunk of me just cracking up! Ha! I'm editing another video today and tomorrow... I'm thinking I might have to add another 'interview' section! Willie :)
Brilliant video as usual Willie. Many Belter Boogies which l loved! Great to see Sarah again tonight & the Elder flower cordial looks delicious. Will try it my self. All the best & cheers, John.
Thanks John - this was a huge collection of belters (and boogies!). Just when I thought I couldn't find better than this......... Do give the cordial a go - it's really nice! Cheers, Willie :)
After loosing my husband unexpectedly two weeks ago I truly needed a laugh. I’m so glad you left your comment in about the 🪨 Rock. Don’t put yourself down you have some guns for your size. Your in great shape Willie. So glad you got your poison out in one piece.
Very sorry for your loss Kristi. I'm glad that we could help bring a wee bit of lightheartedness, laughter and joy to you at a very difficult time. All of us at DSoS HQ sending you positive thoughts - Willie Sarah and Jack. xxx
You continue to out do yourself Willie, or should I say the Rock!!! I'm sooo glad you included that part in the video. I was laughing right along with you!!! 🤣 See ya next week 😁
I think this is one of my favorite videos, Willie. Finding that poison bottle and freeing it from your pitch fork, was amazing. And you laughing, your the best!
So many great finds. Today you will not only have sore muscles from digging, but also from belter dancing. Too bad that the bottle with the oil was empty...
Willie....you’re like a big kid, don’t change, love your enthusiasm....brilliant finds, beautiful in their own way plus bags of historical interest. Thanks again for a wonderful video
Willie, I just love your personality. Watching brings me happiness. I like that you said you are tasty to bitey flys and that you will have a talk with Dave, your bird for breech of contract. Great treasures today. You are so fun Willie and you make me laugh. 😊🌻🐕🇺🇸
Well done Willie!! That was a honey hole of treasures this week. So many beautiful blue bottles. You shot your creativity to top with the guest interview. It made my husband and I laugh right out loud. You provide us with a very entertaining video for our Sunday evening. Thank you for sharing. Have a great week and keep safe.❤️🇨🇦 .
As a youth I dug several of those vapo-cresteline bottles but they were always clear. I also had the tiny lamp at one time the oil for croup was effused in to give comfort for respiratory ailments. Fascinated to see them in blue! Thanks Willie!
Thanks Robin. The funny thing is, I've only found 2 and both are a shade of blue. Others have also said they are only clear too - or green. Makes me wonder the rarity of these blue versions. Willie :)
This whole video was one big belter! I lost count of the dances 😂 I loved your interview with St Jacob's oil, he seems to have lived a very interesting life, I believed his sincere apology, and I think he's truly sorry for his past ingredients. The foraging bit was lovely, I love the smell of elderflower, but I've never tasted it, thanks for showing us how to do it all properly and safely. And if you felt like The Rock after getting that poison free, I'm not gonnae take that away from you! 😂 *loved* this one, over to Sarah now 🤗
Hello Willie, Sarah, and Jack Spaniels..Wow what a fantastic dig. So many nice things. Your ink jar is really great. Love your tea pot, hope your mom will too. Greetings from North Carolina U.S.A.
Oh my goodness, I busted out laughing right along with you when you said you were like the Rock, Oh goodness, great laugh and you laughing at yourself made it even that much better. Awesome dig and some beautiful finds as always.
Great video! Awesome finds, really like the blue ink. Love the 'This weeks interview' section, so funny 😂Thanks for the Elderflower recipe, I will definitely do it next year 😀💗 x
I just love the bloopers and you made me laugh many times in this video. Wonderful finds and some different pieces this time which is always good to see for you and me. Like the foraging bit too. I used to make elderflower champagn and that ws delish sitting in the garden on a summers evening. The interview was interesting too. Love those blue bottkes and the ink I think was my favorite.🦹♀ belter dance.
Another great dig , bottle after bottle and each one so different from the next. I think your channel gets better week after week. I wait for your video every Sunday and it's always awesome all of the content that you add to it that makes it so much more interesting. And the Rock thing , that was so funny . I can't wait until next week, see you then.
Thanks Deborah - really glad you enjoyed it! Such a huge assortment of belters! Very encouraging to hear that we're improving! That 'Rock' thing had me in stitches for ages! Ha! See you Sunday! Willie :)
Fabulous finds this week Willie arguably your best dig yet. I look forward to seeing your videos every Sunday evening and have not been disappointed yet. Best of luck in the future and thanks for the brilliant entertainment you provide.
@@dirtysecretsofscotland don't reconsider his contract lol... he's always around you know it's just you don't notice him cos you are doing a belter dance :P
Oh Willie, I loved the interview. So hope it might become a regular feature ❤️❤️❤️. Great finds as usual, I so look forward to your adventures each week, it’s the humour that sets you apart 🤣🤣and the fantastic finds of course!
It was your day for the unusual bottles and the green the beautiful green thank you for sharing your video I enjoyed it keep on digging and keep up the good ⚒️⚒️⚒️👍👍👍♥️🗝️
Best video ever! Great finds, lots of goofy humor and Sarah and Jack time! Loved the “Interview “! Lots of new belter moves and Elderberry Cordial making! Thoroughly enjoyed it all! Glad I have Dave hanging on my wall as it sounds like he’s about to be canned!oh, and Willie, you were right….you do look like “A Rock”… er..um, did you say “ The Rock”?!?! No wonder you could not stop laughing! 😂🤣😂🤣
😂😂😂😂👏👏👏👏that was a brilliant video Willie, glad you kept the rock bit in. Wow you found a lot of belters and amazing finds. Loved the foragers bit and the making of the cordial. Take care guys and thank you for sharing 👍👍❤️❤️
Burroughs Wellcome Pharmaceutical Company was founded by Sir Henry Solomon Wellcome FRS in 1880 in the US--- it went on to become part of Smith French and Kline Pharmaceuticals. Don't know that they made pickles, though.
Hi there,Willie. It’s been a while since I left a comment, but I just haaaaad to say how I love the lavender bottle. Lavender water is the only toilet water that I’ve always used. I am soooo jealous.Love to all three of you. xxxxxxx
What a banner day, The Rock! Hahahaha, that was such a laugh! I think you must have been punchy from all those amazing finds! Congrats!! The interview with Jacobs oil was very funny and interesting, too. Very cool foraging bit with Sarah and Jack. And the recipe was awesome, too!
I forgot to tell you that I love the new music for Sarah's channel as well as yours. Anything from your hometown is precious. Oh no, replace Dave? Well if he's slacking off, then what ya going to do? Rock! With those hammers! I like the interview segment.
That tiny lavender water and the tiny green one right after are so cool!!! I love the tiny ones!!! I would love get find a tiny poison not to be taken!!! What's funny is I wrote this right after you found those 2 tiny bottles before you found any poison bottles on here!! Lol
Hey - yeah - we love them too! Just editing a video (for 2 weeks from now) where I find a tiny 1/2 Oz flat backed green 'Not To Be Taken' bottle. An absolute stunner! Made a wee collection to see our tiny poisons too. Will be out in 2 weeks. Willie :)
So many beautiful bottles. Lovely assortment of colors. Great finds and video. With so many belters it was understandable the last was a finger dance.🇨🇦
I believe that was your best dump dig ever. 😁 Belter after belter. How are you ever going to top that? 😂😂 My favourite, as an avid tea drinker, is, of course, the tea pot. 😍 I hope your mom loves it. 😊 Jack Spaniels was adorable, as usual - especially with the elder flower sprig in his mouth. 🤣 I like the new addition of the interview. I can see that becoming quite popular. 😜 Take care, and I'll see you next time. 🥰👍
The next stuck bottle may be made safer by placing a towel or rag over it just in case the "Rock" breaks it.🤣 The interview, simply great! I was almost expecting a heckler in the audience!😂 So many belters on top of all the work digging, maybe one dance for two belters, one in each hand may save you some energy. I can see how easy it would be to fill a house with all those finds. Thanks for sharing the things your hard work results in.😊❤
BEST video yet! You out did yourself. So, hang on to your hat, I have a lot to say. 😆 Not only did you find some amazing things but you also gave us a little bit of everything. You're quite the entertainer! I had a blast! Favorite finds were hard to pick as you had so many cool things. However, I have narrowed it down to my two favorites, the CraigMillar cream pot, and the tiny lavender water bottle. I love them both, a lot! I too have been a little disappointed with Dave's lack of appearance so I think it's in your rights to renegotiate the contract. I'm sure you've provided him with plenty of worms. However, he is a crowd favorite so maybe just a warning...😉Your laughter at your own joke about looking like "The Rock" was hysterical. You said it wasn't going in the video but thank you so much for including it because it was just great. I wish he could see your video. Maybe he'd do a collaboration with you. I'm pretty sure you would out-dig him. 😄 Your belter dances are always fun to watch but the finger dance was fantastic. You've been tired from dancing before and restricted yourself to dance in the hole, but the finger was epic. 😂 Then you gave us a wonderful new segment, "This Week's Interview". Your first guest was so interesting even if he did have a somewhat shady past. I loved it. Lastly the foraging part (which I always really love) was so fun (and it's always nice to see Sarah). I've never tried elderflower cordial but it sure was cool watching the process from start to finish. That was an awarding winning show. Thank you so much for all your effort. I enjoyed every bit of it! 😊👏👏
Hi Willie great video today as always some stunning bottles i think my favourite has to be the tiny plain blue poison/medicine bottle. Thanks for the added bonus at the end of this weeks show of the elder flower cordial recipe, when you drink it do you dilute it first? Never made it but would love to have a go though I may have to wait till next year as they are probably well on the way to being berries now, my dad used them to make elderberry wine , mmmm yum .
Great video and the new feature was very entertaining! And, “skinny guy in a hole”? I think not. Keep flexing those bottle digging ‘guns’. We love watching every dirty secret you uncover!
