Leo P gets a lot of attention because his showmanship, but, damn, every one of these guys are amazing musicians. I'm not even sure Leo is the most impressive of the lot when it comes to playing.
The fact that he's hot as a motherfucker doesn't hurt either. I mean DAMN the _Not Safe For Work_ thoughts I have when watching him issssssannyway I mean this band has got talent for sure! I better go. Bye!
True but don't forget that being a drummer isn't tiring! He barely even got a single break, and he wasn't even the center of attention! But, yes, Leo is awsome.
This is what I love about the NYC Subway. It's not perfect but makes up for it with all the talent it has to offer to brighten our commutes. Because of them going viral, the world knows about them, and they now tour globally as a result. As they should, rightfully deserved
I’m from England and I’ve only just heard of them and only just seen Leo performance on the bbc proms from 2017 so I’m abit behind but loving his style, so I’ve been on RU-vid all day today watching his vids especially has I’m off work ill at the moment so he’s very much put a smile on my face 👍
Funkytown is a part of what makes Shrek 2 so great. Combined with the Fairy Godmother's performance of Holding Out for a Hero, the music brings the movie all together into a masterpiece That aside, Lucky Chops did an incredible job with the transitions. They are amazing and we'd love to have them on the Pyongyang Metro. NYC is lucky to have them.
3:21 The guy just tries to hand them money when they're giving the performance of a lifetime. And the trombone is like "uh no dummy it goes in there duh no" and leo p is just like nah it's okay and takes it and puts it in the box for the guy. Unbelievable
The pure joyful energy this performance radiates put a huge stupid grin on my face :) as a fourth year trombone player with performance anxiety, I aspire to be like them. Absolutely beautiful.
@@ajhauter5049 oh, have I been saying it wrong? Whoops. Anyway, cool. We are a military marching band, and we just finished our competitive season. We are now just marching at football games until football season is over
Leo P is amazing as always, but can we appreciate the tuba guy as well? That thing is freaking heavy and he still manages to dance a bit without missing a beat.
I used to use this station as part of my commute. Once I heard someone so good, they almost made me tear up, so I gave them a dollar. It just occurred to me that they were probably famous
as a sax player I gotta say that trombone players off the hook. the whole band is awesome, energy from B. sax guy was intense, but man did that trombone guy freaking kill it.
Always saw them while riding the subway. Was such a joy seeing this, the energy! I miss this New York. Now New York is sadly going down the drain, with no energy, miss the people who used to preform and these guys too.
So good. Actually better than " Madness". I could drink ale and watch them all night. This is the best new music I have heard for a long time and this is from a 73 year old Brit.
I swear that bari player downs 12 red bulls before every performance, because he's always going completely nuts (Edit) Coming back four months later, yes, I now know his name. Leo Pellegrino, Baritone Saxophonist of lucky chops formerly, as well as Too Many Zooz. His music is fucking amazing, check out his other stuff.
I remember watching a documentary about small German villages in the Swiss, Austrian, and German Alps. Many villages have a village marching band for community celebrations. These bands were dominated by brass wind instruments. The Big Bands and Jazz Bands of a bygone era were also dominated by brass wind instruments. It takes a handful of starving music majors to keep those memories alive.
they are soo cool. If I am having a bad day or feeling a bit down, which we all have sometimes I, watch this and dance along. always makes me smile and feel better. these guys rock....... :) the talent is off the charts.
And I thin Bari is quiet too cuz my band director says play as loud as you want but then again I have Fr horn right behind me cuz im floot so the songs sound super boring cuz there so loud and they play the other part thats almost all the same note
At the start of the video, what you might be mistaking as dance moves are actually Leo trying desperately to get rid of a piece of plastic stuck under his left shoe.
I miss this New York, the one that was filled with energy, talent, happiness, it was never perfect but when you saw stuff like this, it alway brought you joy even for a couple of mins. Now sadly New York is going down the drain, no one is happy, everything seems gray and dead, and no one performing like they used on the stations. Sad to see New York at the state that is in.
WOW X20!!!! I was a sax player and have played most styles of sax. So, when I heard you guys for the first time today, Man you all gave me the chills. Your music is off the charts awesome!
@@Username-tz9ud there is 6. The baritone saxophone player, trumpet player, tenor or alto (I can't tell) saxophone player, drummer, trombone player, and the sousaphone player.
While the band is brilliant, not enough people are talking about the sousaphone player. The stamina needed to play that instrument sitting, let alone while dancing is commendable, to say the least. my lungs are burning at the thought
I just realized I went to highschool with some guys who made a band with a very similar instrument composition to this band and called themselves "mutton chops" I just now realized this is where they got their inspiration from
One time I got frustrated with interrupting ads so I opened 50 pages at once... Too Many Zoos was the only one you could hear in the cacophony.... you rock!
just picked my alto sax back up after 4 years and forgot the fun of sounding good! I'm 21 now and played from 6th grade into highschool with marching band.
