I’m new and finding it hard to figure out the cords from just looking at your fingers. A placement chart would speed me trying to just play the chords or explaining what goes where....
Good question. Yes and no. Two strums is the easier way and will keep you nicely in time. If you are a bit more proficient you can add a third strum of just the bass notes E and A. With two you play on the 1 2 of the bar with three it would be 1 + 2. I hope that helps and makes sense!
What most guitarists forget is that this song has a long, beautiful and heavenly long intro. The simple notes G, D and A are repeated followed by descending fifths ie 2 note chords: GD, DA and AE. This is sustained and resonant! Listen to the album. The vocal and actual guitar strumming starts later. Probably a keyboards intro.👍👆Long semibreves please.
