I remember back when you actually recommended for Lucy and Martha to sing this specific song. So so beautiful. Your descriptions beautifies the song even more.
The vocal talent on display here is second to none. The world will do well to listen to as much of these girls as possible so I am looking forward to what happens next. These sisters bring us peace, joy, serenity, and calmness. I love that. The world needs that.
Hi Juliet, I can't wait to watch your reaction to this beautiful song by Lucy an Martha. Since I discovered Lucy, I always watch your reactions, they are always amazing! By the way, are you planning to react to Lucy's first concert in Manchester? At the moment, there are two songs released and I would like to know what you think about. Ciao Marco from Italy
Lucy did it again -- I caught a head bounce at one point. Gotcha Lucy. More: I caught a bit of the Lucy smile in the last verse. And, regarding their duet, I've noticed in the past that you can hear both of their voices but the blend together beautifully into one note/sound. Fantastic.
I went back to the original version on the Andrew LLoyd Weber album, I purchased in 1986 and I find Lucy and Martha's rendition well rounded and smoother and a more pleasing tone. I liked Martha's sound better than the young man in the original. I have been waiting to see your reaction and you didn't disappoint. Your face and body language spoke volumes. Thank you for support the girls.
So 10 months ago you said your next reaction would be “ Starlight” (I know it was me who distracted you to react to “ Broken dreams” instead) but it’s time! Also we’re all waiting to hear how you react to Lucy’s live performances, there were some nerves with “ Somewhere” ( me more than Lucy) but she (we) got over them in a couple of phrases, then 16th song into the concert Lucy makes us believe “ We can change the World” ❤
Hi Juliet ! Well you asked them to sing this song and they have. In my opinion the best rendition of this song ever, absolutely stunning. I cant wait to see what think of lucy and Martha's performance.
Hi Juliet. I really love hearing your professional opinions and thoughts about Lucy and Martha’s wonderful talents and breathtaking voices. Lucy did just have her very first public concert in Manchester back in March, and I would definitely recommend you to watch her beautiful live performance of «Somewhere» on her RU-vid channel. I was one of the lucky ones that got to attend to her concert that night, and her performances on stage was utterly mindblowing like you would not believe. It was truly was a magical evening.
Love your reaction. Martha is doing very well here. Almost 14 if I remember well. Don't know if I would like to hear them sing this higher. This sounds like Lucy is comfortable with the range. See no reason to force things. Can't wait for you to react to the 2 live recordings from her Manchester concert. I know it was an honour to meet her and her fam. there.
henkhessel FYI Martha turned 14 on Nov 4 2023 and as of today April 22 she is 14 years and 6 months old, she was born Nov 4 2009 and Lucy Feb 21 2004......
@@wilburfinnigan2142 I was referring to the date this one was recorde see cd. Thought it was before nov. Actually rec date says nov 30. So she was 14y+26d.
So what's next? Starlight? Run To You? She Used To Be Mine (sung when she was only 14)? 🙂 Or... one of the two live performances from her concert that have been posted so far? :)
Hello Juliet, Lucy's voice " my god " !!! I have never heard anything so beautiful, and when Martha comes in the harmonies are beyond beleive. if this heaven I want more, Take care Barbara.
@@YourOnlineSingingCoach --- Hello Juliet the set list I found for Lucy Thomas at the Stoller Hall Manchester is as follows -- Somewhere, at last, always remember us this way, she used to be mine, evergreen, a thousand years, what a wonderful word, The Prayer (with Martha ), One and only, Desperado, The way we were, I dreamed a dream , On my own, Gentle Breeze, Don't cry for me Argentina, We can change the world, Hallelujah -- Sean (UK) x
Lucy is breathtaking and sounding more like an entire choir especially when she sings with her sister Martha. It is sounding more like an entire 30 person choir! It's obvious they have already been to heaven! I'm going to the UK for sure after hearing this...goosebumps and all.
I have noticed how Martha never gets in the way when Lucy has lead and is singing the higher note with her personal vibrato. Martha just maintains a flat, perfect-pitch note in her harmony backup. There is one exception: in "When You Believe", Martha is in the right side of the screen and she definitely has the lead, allowed the higher note and vibrato in all the harmonies - and Lucy stays flat during these parts. Little Martha's earnest performance during the crescendo is a sight to behold! Her entire soul is poured into the performance.
Juliet I hope you got the link to the live concert, Lucy did. Two songs are out from it. We Can Change The World, Somewhere! Both live. A real treat hearing Lucy Live.
Nice comment Juliet! You mentioned they added vibrato to this beautiful song, my thought is that their vibrato is so perfect that it fits perfectly. Lucy is as always, fantastic! And Martha, she sounds SO good! And the two of them together...... it is hard to describe how wonderful the sound that enters my ears. I have loved every duet they have done, from In the arms of the angels to this beautiful song. And every video I have seen of Lucy singing since the age of 9 years of age, I have been so impressed with her quality of voice. They both are amazing, beautiful young ladies!
Hi from the 🇬🇧 Yep, this was angelic and beautiful. I would love to see your reaction to the two live performance videos released so far of Lucy in her first concert in Manchester, England. Hopefully she will post some more videos of the concert, particularly when Martha joined her on stage for two songs.
Lucy and Martha are such a pleasure to listen to. Such beautiful harmonies from two earth angels with voices made in heaven. They certainly hit this one out of the park!!
Hi, Juliet. I knew you would love "Pie Jesu". Lucy's voice is the most beautiful I have ever heard where ever she is on the scale. Wow!. So controlled and pitch perfect. Martha really impressed me as she took the lower harmony, also with perfect pitch. Lovely voice. Thank you for your considered reaction. You are the best! Kit
Hi Juliet, a wonderful reaction to a stunning performance. I'm more taken in by your shear expression of pleasure than by Lucy and Martha's exquisite rendition.
Hi ya Juliet - once again, a wonderful and comprehensive reaction to this Lucy and Martha duet. The harmonies in this duet are truly other-worldly. I always enjoy listening to your analysis - so much great information. Please do another reaction for Lucy's 'Live in Manchester' concert - Maybe do a '2-fer' featuring both songs. I know it might be a long react, but it would also be a unique video that we would all just love. Thank you for your informative reactions and your great support for Lucy and Lucy & Martha. Stay safe and healthy!
Hi Juliet. This is just simply stunning. Nothing can compare to these two beautiful ladies. Thank you for sharing and your support of Lucy and Martha. Please stay Free, Safe, and Healthy.
Hello Juliet always a big joy to listen to your exciting reaction.❤ when I look into your face there is a beautiful smile while you are watching Lucy and Martha. I enjoyed it. Sending greetings from bavarian💐🙂
One of my favorite pieces on the planet. You are right Juliet, like heaven on earth listening to Lucy and Martha sing this. I love them making this their own. Love these young women❤️
Juliet I just love and admire your insightful and so descript analysis of these sister's angelic and masterful duet which as usual, tugs my emotional strung heart strings. You ARE a blessing here on RU-vid...🥰
So so, Beautiful angelic sounds that are much blessed by Gods grace. I might say it is a wonderful blessing to be able to hear and listen to such a God send. I am better feeling now because of!
I always enjoy your reactions and this one was outstanding and informative. The first thing I always look at is the person is the persons eyes. I have always said that Lucy Thomas has the most beautiful light blue eyes that I have ever seen. I agree with you that the way they performed it simple was the best way and respectfully to the words. Thank you again for the outstanding review. I always learn more about the art of music from your reactions. God bless and keep you always. Nancy Bellamy P.S. I also think that you have pretty and comforting eyes.
Within the first minute and a half of this video showing the initial portion of this sister duet, the camera takes in and isolates Lucy's sublime beauty in her facial and stylish vocal application of this eternal melody. And she does it with perfectly selected human and angelical gestures on her face. Indeed, the camera shows a well-chosen combination of immaculate make-up and light and darkness. But in my opinion, little would have been reached and achieved by the eye of the camera in this early portion of this presentation without the mysterious and natural beauty of young Miss Lucy Thomas. Her sister, another beautiful and necessary part of this classy duet, firmly accommodates all the vocal and visual requirements of their published musical videos. Also, I appreciate the heart-felt technical commentaries expressed by the host in this video, which are very helpful in correctly understanding the technical aspects of this singing presentation.
Hi Juliet. This was worth waiting for wasn´t it Beautiful song and beautifully sung by the girls Marthas voice is so much more mature now and Lucy´s is just heavenly and out of this World I can honestly say I have never heard a more beautiful voice .Please react to "We Can Change The World" the live version from Lucy´s concert ( I sent you the link to it but will add it here in case you have mislaid it) it is stunning I believe it is even better than her studio version which you have already done .Here is a link link .It is on "Rosie The Musical " not Lucy´s own channel .ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--WV2UxqEx4Q.htmlsi=qkFIPeiVuQHM0fV3 Thanks for continuing to support Lucy
Great reaction Juliet! It was agonizing waiting for this reaction, but your reaction was well worth the wait! You're right this performance was heaven on earth. God blessed Lucy and Martha with the gift of beautifully angelic voices. And Lucy and Martha have blessed the world with beautifully angelic singing. They are our Earth Angels! Please do not hesitate to play and react to some of Lucy's earlier performances of 3, 4, and 5 years earlier. They often get overlooked, even by the greatest reactors like you. Even at a younger age, Lucy’s voice was already mature beyond her years and absolutely stunning. You absolutely have to play and react to Lucy’s breathtaking performances of: “LISTEN”; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--fGe8Z4uLWE.html At only age 14, Lucy had the mature, passionate, and powerful voice of an adult diva. And “I’LL NEVER LOVE AGAIN"; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4g1Qpu9XPL8.html At only age 15, Lucy’s emotional and powerful performance was even better than the original. And “RUN” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HTnry6S4vgc.html At only age 15, Lucy’s voice was so rich and powerful; I promise you will be blown away. Hopelessly Addicted in Arizona
I was kind of struck by the pronounciation of some words from both Lucy and Martha in this song. A bit too "English" I would say. But they did make a great job of it (as they always do).
