Its so funny how he doesnt shut down the convo in bradford fashion. He was definitely caught off guard and was uncomfortable in the situation. I love them both
I love Tim's reaction to the confession. Step from "what the hell?" to "oh no, it's true" and ended in "I don't know what to say".... PS: I hope they end up together because they would be the best couple in the series
I HAVE TWO THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THIS- 1. The fact that Lucy came up with that whole speech in mere seconds somewhat seems suspicious. Like, it was so well-said and everything. Makes me think she's thought of these points before and/or was planning to say them in the future 👀 But, it was (based on the scene) her proving that she could come up with a lie on the spot while making it believable. I do think she'd be good in the UC department. 2. TIMS REACTION- 😩 HE SEEMED SO NERVOUS. It might have been because he was about to reject her (he called her sensitive, so he might have thought she'd have a big reaction) BUT STILL. The way he didn't just say it straight (like he usually does) makes me think he was re-thinking everything, and maybe, JUST MAYBE, he realized he might like her. aNyWaY thanks for reading my rant. Hope these two will progress in the future :')
If Tim didn't feel anything for her he would have found it a lot easier to let her down, the fact that he stammered and stumbled over his words kind of does imply he's got some feelings for her.
When you declare to your crush and you’re seeing from his reaction you’re going to be rejected so you decide to disguise it as a joke... typical! Behind any joke, there’s a truth.
Lucy may have done this as a joke but i think she did this as a way of gauging Bradford's feelings. There's no denying that they have true feelings for each other. Lucy's kidnapping proved it all!!!!!
Dang, Lucy is savage. And good for her for not being afraid of Tim, first she stole his wallet, then she gave him her beer bill and left, then she gave him a gift the was a trap, and now this.
The fact that Tim didn't straight up say "no I don't" to her, tells me if Lucy hadn't of broken we may of gotten a confession of his feelings for her. Hopfully someday we get to see them together before the show ends.
@@emirachelnatalie3397 I also wonder how it will happen 👀 look at Tim, he was so excited and he didn't expect it at all. 😂 I wanted to hear what he was going to say, until she started laughing. maybe he wanted to reject her?
@@ingridmay66 oop maybe. I don't think he will reject her now though as they're flirting so much in the recent episodes and when they hugged they were in flames 😂.
Ouch, that was a killer moment! But my Chenford heart is aching... On the other hand, they're endgame to me, something could change in the coming seasons. Anyways, the writers are laughing their head off. But Lucy did great and maybe Tim starts thinking about some stuff.. 😅
This must have been really fun to film for Melissa and Eric, I get the feeling their own personalities shine in this scene 😉, and is it just me or is Eric supressing a smile in 2:37? And I just have to laugh when Tim says 'oh, you're sorry?!'
@@Leelanau03 nooo, please! That would be so sad! This show has such a good mix of drama and humor, a lot of heart. Love the cast, the writing. I really hope they don't cancel it.. 🙏😭
Honestly I don't think I've ever seen a show that actually has an interest in what the fans actually talk about (ie. shippers)... the fact that the actors and the show's twitter even uses #chenford ... maybe I'm wrong ... Chicago PD doesn't do that with #upstead 🤷♀️ The Rookie writers are teasing the sloooow burn on chenford and they know we'll stay loyal. After that scene in 3x14, we'll get what we want 🤞🏻
@@emt9737 Yes exactly, it as predictable for me too. I mean with Tim's personnality i'm surprised he didn't see it coming miles away. I guess the fact that he has a soft sport for her, makes him gullible sometimes. :)
Okay I personally believe we will see them get together pretty soon. The show runners tried to mislead us by saying that Tim would never cross that line because he's her superior. Well, he's no longer going to be her superior, so now, it can happen. I don't see Lucy with anyone other than him!
On the one hand, I support this couple a lot (they have amazing chemistry and I’d love to see their relationship explored further), but on the other hand, I think it would be hypocritical for them to be together since Chen and Nolan broke up due to co-worker boundaries. 😅 The only way I see it happening without being hypocritical is if one of them stops being a cop and that would ruin the whole dynamic of the show. ☹️
@@GenkoNoMiko Honestly... I think the co-worker boundaries excuse was a plot device to break up Chen and Nolan (who should start dating his professor ASAP, I like the chemistry between them). Talia was the one who told Chen to break up with Nolan not because of any actual rules, but because she would otherwise be labeled by other cops, which, if I remember correctly (it's been a while since I watched Season 1), would make things harder for her since she's already a female in a male-dominated environment. And if you'll remember, this rule doesn't always apply - Tim and his ex-wife were rookies together!
Man, Lucy really knows how to make Tim eat his words. She really pulled the rug out from under him in the cruelest yet funniest way possible just to prove him wrong that she does INDEED have the "killer instinct" to be a UC. 🤣🤣🤣
Act like a marriage couple 😊😊in the future might be seeing them in wedding clothes😊😊❤ always showing them feeling cause they can't hide/hold them for long😊😊
But the fact that in the future they'll probably talk about this (when they're already dating), and the truth (that this was totally all real, but she payed it off as a joke), will come out in conversation.
I think the editors were so focused on the plot that they forgot to take out the “shopcam” text, there’s moments where it was on-screen when the camera was outside the car LMAO
And you are undermining by feeling guilty, bravo. He can hold his head up with that, still being the teacher even when she gets the best of him. Best two characters on the show, but I like them all.
Okay okay, that's a smack to Tim's and our Chenford faces... To begin i couldn't place what's bothering me with her being nasty but now that I'd watched the two clips together, I know. I realized. Tim's opinion on Lucy's really high nowadays and he learned to trust her on so many levels. I think him telling her in that garage last time (was it 3x06?) that he learned the hard way that you can't trust people and Lucy was the one who told him it's otherwise, that she always believed in him, in him getting her, no matter what, trusting him with her life... And now she's laughing in his face, with something that's important to him, such as having romantic feelings for him, HIM, just to embarrass and betray this special trust of his, his trust in HER... That's soooo ... ISABEL style! And I'm disappointed by it, too. Not because of hurting my Chenford feelings (obviously) but because I thought, just as Tim has how it seems, that he earned her respect. But that he even said it out loud to her that he's willing to analyse and retrospect his own reputation and with Tim helping Jackson, helping her so many times... Tim at least deserves Lucys respect just as much as she earned his. How would she had felt if it had been the other way around?!? So much for knowing her, trusting her because of the past and all they've been through together... I understand that Tim's hurting by her faul trick on a deep, emotional level, not just because she fooled him by not being honest. It's kinda sad. Especially after watching him telling her he'll miss riding with her... It's like he's presenting that fragile heart of his openly on silver plates, being mostly un-tim-ly friendly with her as a Rookie on their last shift together... telling with that letter that he's proud and fond of her... It feels like a split in their dynamic. I kinda feel bad for Tim now. I even think maybe he will close himself off of her, for that ❤️ of his, and hers, too, in the near future and that he will suffer from it. Because they both did so much good to one another and for each other in the meantime... Not every joke is just as hilarious as it seems, Lucy... Hope for her making up to him for it in the near future!
I agree that her number of tricks were a lot, especially after he gave that nice goodbye. But then again, Tim was really tough on her that past year, and even at the beginning of that shift brushed off her conversation about missing their rides together. So he was not honest, either. He also said in his goodbye that she could do anything, even if he told her differently. So she did convince him she could work as a UC. But I also agreed with him saying she was sensitive. I really hope her work doesn't harden her like Harper had to close her heart and live under a lot of stress. But we've seen Lucy craving that respect from Tim, so I hope they can continue as equals now, honest to each other and laughing together. Tim needs to smile more, and I think Lucy can help 😉. Btw, you were right about that scene in 3x01 about Tim always having her back. Those two shots are a bit opposite to one another. But maybe that's Lucy just thinking of him as an older brother. Ouch.. And remember when Emmett broke up with her, she wanted some sympathy from him, and didn't get any? So she thinks he can handle it.
@@lydia397 yeah, i agree. I can see your point, thank you for sharing your thoughts, it's cool to make the experience to discuss our favourite tv show around the world, isn't it? After watching the vid very closely and looking at Tim in particular from minute one till the end, I still think he's hurt. Like... Hurt badly. He never got the chance to finish his speech. He didn't deny or correct her about having feelings for her himself- athough he's going all- "I'm a pain in your a...ss" at her about her last shift etc before this incident! He seemed to be out of words now. Stunned. And Tim Bradford speechless, fighting for breath like a fish without water 💧💧💦? Like being caught?!? Well...wow! The fact that he turned to be his 'I got a soft spot for Lucy' -self, in not yelling at her, or pushing her out of the shop like at their first ride... ' s giving me hope! Instead he's giving her a (maybe a bit uncertain) compliment about being a wonderful woman. His words and his mimics were making my hopes flare up... I loved it 🥰 I think the most impressive was his "Crap!" ;) On the other hand it's even harder for me to watch his face fell after Lucy giggles 🥺 So be it: seems i have a soft spot , too- for big bad all bark but big fat softie Tim Bradford XD
@@Jasonslittlesister1 I know what you mean, and I feel your pain! The whole 'crap' moment (which was telling, I agree!) shows that he thinks highly of her, even though he doesn't like to express it, and I noticed too that he was more stunned than angry. Annoyed, for sure, but also impressed by her skills. She has grown to be very confident, and Tim is attracted to strong women. Remember that Isabel and he were very competitive, and where he got his petname from in 3x08. So the woman he will come to love is the one who challenges him. It was painful for us Chenford fans, but hilarious as well! Fun discussion 😄
Does anyone think he likes her back? Or is her liking him just one sided ? Hmm 🤔 I think with Rosalind being back, She’s going to go after Lucy. & if she does get her, Tim will do anything to get her back.. kinda like “ I’m not going to loose you again “ ... or him telling Lucy “ I thought I lost you again * kisses her * “
I just watched this fucking scene..., and it killed me..., cause I want them to be together for real!!!😭😂😂 AAAAAAhhhh. The writers teased it so often so far, which makes the fact that they still aren't together even more annoying to me..., I want them to be a couple since DAY 1..., I hope this happens in season 4 or 5, PLEASE
