I have NEVER seen a dog so broken as Lucy. Lee, I’m so thankful that you took her in. You and your team took her from a broken soul and you put her altogether again with LOVE. Have a beautiful day! Stephanie
I remember how shut down Lucy was, & getting teary-eyed the first time her tail went up ... and now I'm tearing up again. Her forever home is perfect! Learning to hope again is the hardest thing, for dogs and people and every living thing. God bless you Lee & Asher House team for teaching Lucy so patiently.❤
Poor soul, when Lee rescued Lucy she looked heartbroken, Lee then did what Lee does and mended her broken heart, now some other angles have adopted Lucy, at times the world isn't that bad a place, god bless the Asher house and all that dwell in it 😭
Lucy's smile at the end was a miracle. She really needs another dog so am happy she found such a perfect home. Thank you for saving this special angel.
My goodness,Lucy was so scared, but with your patience and gentle soul, you got her to trust. She fell so in love with you and you with her. You understood her hesitation and her being uncomfortable with everything. She made a trun around because of your unconditional love. Thank you for being such a bright light in so many lives. Love ya always, Lee, you are very special!💞🥰💞🥰💞
Lucy Has Her Forever Home!! Thanks To Lee And His Constant Dedication And Caring!! Lucy Can Live The Life She Was Given!! Thank You, Lee!! You Are A GODSEND!!
Her eyes are heartbreaking 😢😢 Such a beautiful dog. She's in safe hands now. Sending much love to this little angel. You are one hell of a guy Lee. 🏴🏴💜💜
Thank you for finding her, thank you for rescuing her, thank you for giving her an umbrella and love, thank you for showing her what love is, and thank you for finding her home.
Saving another being from her misery and helping her to a good life is a big big deal. The day you see her bright eyes and her pink tongue hanging like a perpetual smile, you know she's recovered. Dogs are too honest and too smart to hold grudges or to wallow in self-pity. When treated with respect, kindness and love, they'll enjoy every minute of their life. Thank you to Lee, his team and Lucy's family.
Couldn’t ask for a better ending! I cried the first time I saw her, nearly shut down and the saddest eyes I had ever seen! Now I am crying tears of joy for Lucy! May she have many happy years in her furever home!
I hope this beautiful girl forgets how her life started and only remembers the love she's getting now. She looks very happy! Lee, YOU are amazing! Hugs from Canada. XO
Welcome to the pack, Lucy. I have no doubt that those dogs are communicate to each other and they were letting her know she’s in a safe place now and she can finally be happy.
I remember her, my heart just ached for the life she endured. How lucky she was to be rescued. One of the fortunate ones. You live your best life Lucy, you deserve it❤
Here I sit crying as I know what it’s like to be abused as a human, and for a precious furr baby to be neglected and abused is sooo much worse as they can’t talk. Lee, you and The Asher House was a true Godsend for Lucy. God love her, and here she goes again to yet another home, which looks like it’s right where she belongs. I can’t wait to see how she has flourished with her New Best Friend ( another Golden Retriever) and a loving couple. Thank you for sharing Lucy’s Story even though it makes us cry and yet end with a warmth in my heart. 😊
She was such a gentle soul and so forgiving. Is there a more recent update on how she has settled into her home now that she has been there for a while ??
Yay!!!! What a sweet girl. God only knows what she's been through, and how many pups she's had! Looks like she's happy and thriving! Thanks to you and your staff Lee!! Wonderful!!!❤
I am over the moon about Lucy’s adoption to a wonderful couple who most certainly know how special goldens are and Lucy is extra special! Thanks to all who came together to get Lucy to the sanctuary and to all who helped her heal. It’s magical when a shut down dog is transformed to a happy being, living life to the fullest. Lee Asher is extra special as well, so the biggest thanks go to the fellow with the biggest heart. I hope we get updates as I’m going to miss seeing her on the pack walks. LUCY, well done!!!💕🐾🐾
I’m crying happy tears of joy! Thank you Lee for never giving up on Lucy! She’s a special soul like you and has a beautiful perfect forever home. Thank you and your team. ❤️
On one side I am so happy beyond belief you rescued and saved her, your an angel!! One the other hand my hearts broken in two and I am sooooo angry to those who hurt her!!!!!!!🤬💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful story and a new wonderful journey she is on with her new dad and mom and brother/sister...TY for helping her and finding a good home that she deserves...
I'm so happy for Lucy such a beautiful girl you did a fantastic job I remember watching you meet her thefirst time never stop doing what you do love to everyone at the Asher House!!❤❤❤❤🐾🐾🐾🐾
@@pamelareed9514 @Jazzigaylen Yes, apparently the original "owner" (I think the technical term is "puppy mill breeder"), once he realized where Lucy was or that Lucy was now a popular Asher House dog, supposedly wanted her back. I guess maybe he did. But Lee managed to get the guy to let Lee keep Lucy. I have often wondered how much $$ Lee had to fork over in order to keep Lucy. Because while I have NO proof - and Lee himself has never said how exactly he got the owner to "capitulate" and let him keep Lucy - I feel confident that the guy saw a $$$ opportunity and took it. (After all, I think by then Lucy was already spayed, so she was worthless to this guy otherwise.) And I'm okay with that.
❤❤I've been recently seeing an uptick in trainers' abuse of dogs. I'd like to point out that we all who adopt, foster, or purchase one of these God's creatures are responsible for their well-being. We know deep in our hearts Lee's conviction and love for animals, so we support and gather here. Do you know where your dog is? Love you all😊 Congratulations Lucy!
I remember when you rescued Lucy. She has always had a special place in my heart just like so many others you have saved. However, Lucy is and will always be my favorite. I cried such happy tears when i saw her adoption video. I love her so much❤️
What sad eyes...She is beautiful. Yes it has to be so horrific to see this degree of neglect and abuse and not have such rage and anger. I would. Dear God. Poor thing. These poor animals. What they have gone through. Lee, thank you so much. ❤❤❤ We feel it too. You prove it Lee. Love, time, and patience..heals.... I so love happy endings! ❤❤❤
