The only way we can experience time travel is to create a virtual representation of it and experience it through VR. An AI would assemble every document, photo, video, and object and create a real time representation of life on earth. The more recent you are, the more accurate it is. Hopefully this will be accomplished within our lifetime but a lot of records have to be digitized and major advancements in AI.

At first I was wondered why the New Yorkers clearly were not seeing Lucy while the Indians seemingly got at least a sense of here presence. Then it hit me that these very Indians might have been functioning on a completely different level of conscience compared to the New Yorkers later on. Just that little detail in this movie I find a very nice easter egg to have found.

Love the dinosaur segment so much! From the realistic attention to detail such as the branchless species of trees to the behavior of the Appalachiasaurus when it lunges towards lucy, Although brief it was a really great scene. Also have to mention the realistic likelihood of how short lived such an experience for a human traveling to that time would be given the vast and very diverse plethora of very large and ferocious predators found in every ecosystem and biome lol

You're not alone! I'm also really fascinated by it, especially the part where modern New York reverts to how it was 100+ years ago. Photos and videos can show us how a place was like in the past, but we can never really rewind to see all the changes undo themselves bit by bit.

All interesting points being made here on her traveling through time. If we assume she's always sitting where is now modern Times Square, she would very liking be floating on the ocean most of here stretch back because if you recall Pangea and the movement of tectonic plates, the land masses may not be under her. I love the idea of zipping back time . . . just to see it happen. Another cool one like this the 2002 Time Machine scene.
the artistic design for the fx is awesome, the place, the enviroments, the pangea shape effect and the moon creation, fuck I find it one of the better if not the best recreation I saw, especially talking about how all that was condensed on such a small frame. The music also its a great touch on this scene.
0:31 to 0:37 was the best part. It shows the complete evolution of Times Square from a simple intersection into a ilumminated billboard district. The construction of the building is also depicted.
Maybe she managed to access the time frame of the universe and download all time data witch means she was in every corner of the universe every planet stars from the big bang
its a fact that we use all of our brain all the time, we just cant use all parts simultaniously, that would consume a huge amount of energy. But i think that we are able to reach higher spheres if we manage to combine and use our brain more properly. I like that movie, even if the sientific backround is wrong.
I know this movie is criticized a lot, for many valid things. But I can't bring myself to hate on this kind of sequence. The way they play with the picture and the effects to show just how much these aspects are mastered in relation to the music is just amazing. Even when it's almost exclusively special effects after 2:14, they keep this mastery of every detail with the flash of the sun as it comes from behind the earth, then creates an eclypse, then the reverse sound effects with the time reversing again...
I'll give 'em credit for from :43 to about :53....And it doesn't matter how they did it, but that is as close as you'll ever get to just what it would have had to look and feel like to actually go back to a few moments at the turn-of-the-last-century and watch a street scene. They got it as dead-on as someone could be without actually going back in time!

I loved this part of the movie! It's also interesting to think that as one becomes more intelligent (i.e. able to perceive and process information much faster and more readily), one might be able to perceive the past somehow and/or things that are otherwise 'unknown' to average humans.
So, from this scene I can gather that New York's last night time was in the 1950s (ish)? Also, points to actually showing the formation of the moon as a result of cataclysmic impact. That is often overlooked.
This really was a beautiful scene especially the interaction with early man (australopithecus?), i see why she wept i get a lil choked up every time i watch it too. shame the film didn't live up to the beauty of this sequence. it spiraled into a "La Femme Nikita/Leon/Professional action flick when it should've stayed with Lucy's transformation into the "God" she was becoming. love Luc Besson but he took wrong approach. needed more 2001 and less 5th element.
While the concept of 10% in the brain is wrong, the way this movie handles it is just incredible, I even walked out of the movie theater in shock the first time I saw it. Also highlighting the scene in the Jurassic, it will seem silly, but how they put that dinosaur is the closest to reality that is known to have been put in the movies, just for a few minute details.
Absolutely love this film haters can hate but this for me would be evrything I ever wanted. Full 100 percent control over my entire life and the fabric of space time and reality and matter is true freedom.
Fun fact. The native Americans/ First nation people where not familiar with the horse until the Spanish reintroduced them for their own means. Horses like many other species died during the floods brought about by melting ice . Other species survived and thrived( Buffilo for example. )
If given the chance, I would really want to have ability like this. I want to travel back and forward in time and meet all the famous people before they become famous and experience or participate every important events. 😄😄😄. I don't mind if I end up like Lucy... This scenario is fantastic, it deserved much more than being an action movie. I mean the end of this movie, this scene have an epicness and depth that can even rival with Interstellar! I seen that movie in the same period and tought this song here would have been nice on the "Gargantua" black hole scene when you see it whole...

On sais qu'elle est capable de visionner la memoire des cellules (scène avec le méchant) elle fait exactement la même chose en remontant ce qui a été transmis à ses cellules par toutes les cellules qui les as précédé (dailleurs freeman dit que le but des cellules c'est de transmettre leurs savoirs). Elle remonte jusqu'aux origines de la vie sur terre, puis jusqu'à l'espace via la théorie que la vie proviens de l'espace avec les acides aminés qui sont sur les météorites), allant jusqu'au Big bang et la formations des cellules (d'ailleurs vers la fin on voit les cellules ce rembobiner en ce reformant jusqu'à en avoir plus qu'une).

ACTUALLY, certain ones like LSD, open your mind to other planes of existence and abilities and beings and such. BUT they also harm the body, and it can be done with meditation and astral travel, which is harmless and even beneficial.
