I love the darker months of the year...Lucy talking about creativity during this period really resonates with me. Drawing the curtains and dimming the lights during these darker nights I find that inspiration comes much quicker and easier when composing wee folky acoustic tunes. Great guest!
absolutely so. I look forward to those darker months and if anything I wish it was a bit quieter! I want to sit and crochet and create whatever arises. Thanks.
I used to do this in the Summer of 1989. I would drive up the coast north of Santa Cruz, California. I was drawn to a magical beach there and I would drum the Sun down, facing due west as the golden path stretched across the water.
I absolutely LOVE this idea! Also, it struck me that 4:33pm as the time of the UK's sunset on 31st October matches the title (and time duration) of John Cage's experimental silent composition, 4'33". I think my own "dusking" this year might involve four minutes and thirty-three seconds of hedge Morris dancing!
I will be celebrating Noson Calan Gaeaf (as we call it in Welsh) alone this year so I like the thought of whipping out acouple of tea towels and having a little gig! Seasons blessings
