Funny Detail Crocodil ruled undercover and got punched in the Air, for everybody to see Mingo ruled over everybody to see and got punched in the underground
Oda always smurfing with symbolism. It's a pity most of post timeskip arc suffers greatly from pacing due to it's getting close to the manga. I can't wait for the anime remake for these arcs
Doffy also got struck to the ground because he was a celestial dragon. His title was literally "heavenly demon". He got struck down from the heavens and into the ground
I once saw a theory that Glasses tend to represent characters world view. The easiest other one to remember is Kuro. He refused glasses from Kaya, because that would mean accepting a different view. But when Luffy beats him, he also breaks his glasses, shattering his world view. There's probably plenty of other examples, ah yeah, Mr. 3 as well. Don't recall the other's of the top of my head.
I can’t wait for the remake Supposedly from beginning to end of egghead is suppose to be around 263 episodes It’ll make it so much more enjoyable and I can actually get people to watch it
I mean, the same panel over and over again doesn't really work in manga form. Maybe this is the vision Oda had for the scene that couldn't be translated in the manga. Not here saying one is better than the other. I'm simply saying two separate forms work differently
@@headshotfaze9371 That number is pure speculation unfortunately, and assumes way faster pacing than would be necessary. For example, it implied Dressrosa could be 26 episodes, which is just absurd.
After all this time Kyros is finally able to actually cry. Would probably feel awful if you just lost your ability to express sadness or emotions in general
My favorite part is that doflamingo dug his own grave by putting together the fight for the flare flare fruit. Literally just built an army for Luffy pretty much. You reap what you sow 💅
ahah, Fujitora from day one has reminded me of a story. It's been awhile and I can't seem to find it but basically there was a captain missing an eye. His admiral was a coward and called a retreat after the enemy got the first hit. Back then it was like flares more then radio. His vice captain told him of the flared retreat, Cap then proceeded to close his eye and put his eyeglass over his eyepatch and said: "I legitimately do not see it, proceed the attack."
The turn over rate for merch in the world of one piece must be ridiculous. Like jack said hat guy took the opportunity to make Lucy the champion of dressrosa merch just for the bag. It reminds me of how fairy tail canonically sells merch of things about the guild including action figures of members
I just realized it’s even funnier because all the events of dressrosa take place in one day meaning that guy made the Lucy shirt during the crisis. Man knew an opportunity when he saw one
The ark in the timeskip are kinda of a contropaurt to the one before it. Dressrosa is a counterpart of alabasta. Even their villain defeat are a paralel. Crocodile always stayed in the shadows scheming so luffy brought him up from the ground for people to see who the mastermind behind their suffering was while doflamingo was a demon that thought of himself as a god believing himself to be superior to people looking them from up so luffy set him back to hell.
Absolutely love your reactions to one piece. It makes me feel like I'm watching for the first time with you. Your energy and your emotions shine through with each revelation its pure gold keep it up. My only criticism would be i wish you would release your reactions sooner.
The battle between Luffy and Doflomingo is more significant than we think in that Luffy beat up yet again another Celestial Dragon, although a disgraced one. The beat down he gave Doflomingo is far worst than what the last one received. Seeing Kyros crying for the first time in 10 years was enough to make me cry again as well. I don't think I have any more tears to cry after this arc.
Little thing for those who forgot (or if they didnt put it in the anime) The punishment for crossing the path of a Celestial Dragon is to be shot with a holy gun 16 times
I like how One Piece is basically the story of how the Straw Hats go from island to island, f*ck everything up, and the people love them for it. Thanks for the reaction.
And you never will, that's the best way to dehumanize someone is to take away the eyes. Oda even stated once he had his glasses confiscated twenty times after he got sent to Impel Down, because another pair pops up behind the previous one... ...The eyes are the window to the soul, and he just doesn't have one.
@@Ghostery_ he *only* has one...when he was getting lynched that arrow actually hit his eye, activating his Haoshoku no Haki... in the scene where Luffy blips up behind him in gear fourth and nails him with Rhino Schneider he was literally in his blind spot. Not only that, but his Jolly Roger reflects his missing eye
@@primordiatree1014 it wouldn't be instant, it just wouldn't stop Luffy's strongest attack dead in its tracks. That objectively lessens the move's impact. Compare it to the first Kong gun, it's not even close.
I love Luffy's development in this arc. Up to this point, even in Fishman isle, Luffy didn't want to be called a hero. He didn't beat people down into submission unless his friends were harmed by them. But here, while he made friends that were victims of Doflamingo and motivated him to fight, when he says, "it feels like I'm suffocating," shows that Luffy wants to take him down to help the people. Dressrosa as an arc has a great theme and development.
I think that's debatable. Freedom is a core part of Luffy's character. So when he sees Doflamingo, a guy who is all about manipulation, trapping everyone in his "birdcage" and playing with their lives like it's a game, it's only natural that he would feel disgusted of him. That's pretty much what Luffy says in his monologue, and why he ended it with I'M suffocating. It's less about "saving people" and more about giving them back their basic rights. Same thing with Wano. Luffy loves food. The people of Wano weren't even allowed to eat, so it triggered him. Fishman Island didn't have any of those problems btw.
Did you notice that Dressrossa was just Alabasta with stronger versions of the numbers in the Doflamingo family and Doflamingo's plan was Crocodile's, but successful until Luffy & co. showed up?
No one thoughts about this but law could have used his ability to teleport everybody outside of the bird cage You've seen him teleport people through islands on the other side of Islands through buildings outside of buildings inside a building through things so what stopped him from doing it other than just being an ass
Luffy just defeats every enemy with his biggest punch, which seems very anticlimactic, but somehow it always works. Oda varies it enough to keep it surprising
Glad your through this arc. The animation during this period was heavily criticized for being bad. I cant wait untill you reach the arc after next where the art direction changes. Your going to love it mate !
Just fyi there was no struggle in the manga, to show just hows strong king kong gun was luffy punched him and the immediate next panel was Doflamingo getting slammed into the dirt. This filler padding for time actively makes King kong gun look so much weaker than it was
Spoiler ahead Im just realizing that the shot at sugar is quite literally the last thing Usopp has actually done. Literally does nothing but panic for the rest of the series. 😅😢
