Honestly, I've seen this trope but one anime answered it. So I honestly think that once he becomes Pirate King, he will help Hancock bring her dream a reality by letting her join him on his new travels. Not necessarily getting married, but letting Hancock join him as she would still be with Luffy

Luffy has shown no interest in anything but adventure and meet. He will defend people he cares about to his death but hasn’t shown any interest in romance. I seen ships of Luffy and Nami, luffy and robin, luffy and boa, luffy and UtA, which all seem possible after Luffy becomes the pirate king. Personally I am a bit simp when it comes to romance and voted for Boa before Uta was introduced into the story. If the is a final romance at the end of One Piece it is going to be a heart breaking and heartwarming end to one piece

Luffy is immune like Goku is immune to even knowing what a kiss or sex is. He thinks Gohan popped into existence probably. It has nothing to do with goals. He's like Goku in that way. Luffy hasn't had a single thought about romance, etc.

I think its far more simple with Luffy not looking for romance, its just funnier that way when you have attractive women interested in him and turns them down like with Boa. If he had bothered with romance it would take the story in a different direction, this is why we have Sanji and someone like Boa to include those concepts in the world. But Luffy isn't out of the ordinary when it comes to anime protagonists not really looking for romance, actually it seems more common with shonen anime to have the main hero not paying attention to such things along the way and letting side characters bring in the relationship aspect to the story. And we all know its going to be Luffy and Uta (since her death wasn't canon in the story). Or the more likely things is that it won't be anything at all and he will die without us seeing anything of that sort in the story.

I do think it should be Hancock once Luffy ends his journey and settles down. It's only fair and very fitting.

It would be somewhat disappointing and anticlimactic if this infatuation just lead to a dead end. Years and years of her gushing and pining just for both respective parties to end up with someone else or something. If that were the case it would’ve been better if her feelings weren’t romantic in the first place and he simply got her to open her heart up and trust in men again, giving her a chance to maybe fall for somebody else someday.

Actually I think Luffy loves Nico Robin. When it comes to Robin compared to any other female characters. From what I noticed, he becomes more aggressive to protect her and goes more out for her than any other female. He seems to be more willing to die for Robin than any other female character.

I disagree with the premise that Hancock is to complicated for Luffy's simplicity. She is complex in all else EXCEPT her dealings with him, which are as straightforward as can be to the point where they'd be embarrassing to a normal person.

It is no mystery, why Luffy has no interest in finding his "soulmate." Luffy is a guy who has never been around people in romantic love. He hasn't seen the advantage of having a romantic partner. No parents, and Grandpa is never with Dragon's mother. Raise by a single women (with minions), but no love interest. Neither of his brothers had love interests growing-up. Single female bartender, single old man mayor. Red-hair Shanks and crew, no wives or they left them. Luffy has had little to no interaction with romantic couples, HIS WHOLE LIFE. The only people Luffy regularly interacts with, that have romantic attraction, are Sanji and Brook. And they are not good role models for romantic love. Why would Luffy want something, he has never seen, or felt? It actually seems quite rare, for a couple to be truly in love and together, on this planet. It there any happy couples alive in this universe???? I can't think of any.
