What I love about the straw hats is that they know they're captain isn't capable of lying. So Luffy turning to robin like a kid to a mom and being like "But he really was flying though", and mommy robin just going "but he doesn't have wings sweety" kills me.
@Kefou Kefak but there are some child who wants people to take them seriously and not as a kid. we're in 21st century now and the kids are maturing faster than we think, that's why it's important to also consider their feelings and thoughts. Further, we should also guide them.

Well the last chapter basically had Kaido choking Momosuke and then having fly away in dragon form after his goons burned down Oden’s castle. The poor kid has PTSD from Kaido beating him up and almost killing him.
In Wano( manga ) Momo asked Shinobu to age him 20 years to be able to fight and protect Wano. Then after he is aged he goes into dragon form and is getting ready to fight Kaido with Luffy
You know his is why momonosuke is the worst princess in distress of one piece. Nami asked for help after she tried everything else and betrayed them because for her Arlon was just too much of a monster. Vivi only flaw was that she refused to risk the life of anyone other than herself. Robin is robin so awesome by default The mermaid was annoying at first but then you realize that she hid the truth to respect her mother wish. The cladiataur was weak but she tried at least to free herself. Momo is a pathetic arrogant loser who’s only actual good point is being followed by kind on. It’s not just that he doesn’t do anything because he is weak it’s that he doesn’t try because he is too much of a coward. He had no value except being oden son so he was a symbolic guy but his sister was more courageous while being a crybaby Specially in zoo where the 2 kings bowed to him as if he had any perticular value while he was just the worst.
@@wanimetoboy2633 another foreshadowing moment was when Momo said he would be wano's shogun in the future which is funny considering he literally does and the twist of him being Oden's son hasn't been revealed at this point of the arc yet
This scene makes so much sense after manga 973. Oda's foreshadowing is on another level. He doesn't want to fly because he saw the destruction brought by Kaido's dragon form.

Momo flying with the fire clouds Being scared of heights because of his trauma with Kaido Kaido asking “what’s your name?” Wano being referenced as a whole. Oda truly does know how to set up stuff later on lmao
He was scared of flying since he will become the very thing he hates; Kaido. And that hand was a flashback of Kaido strangling Momo. The last few chapters of the Oden flashback show it. One piece is so well thought.
It's funny that they thought he was taking the kid seriously. Because in a non lecture way Luffy was teaching him a lesson and letting Momosuke be a kid at the sametime. Because the little brats ego is too strong giving him an attitude of false maturity. Luffy was just correcting the child's attitude knocking his ego down a bit. while sending him on the right path that will lead to him flying can the climax of The wano Arc most likely. After all the first baby sit up of maturity/adulthood is admitting what you're afraid of then conquering it or in case of Luffy punch in the face. Sometimes it's better to let kids come to conclusions on their own
That's a good way to look at it, I'm really trying to wait for the dub before seeing much of Momo thankfully new episodes will be released next week for that. People say he's awful but I'm wondering if their missing something. I know about the pervy stuff with Nami and Robin though but that's more an Oda issue than a charachter issue really. Basically if I get on his case about that I need to do the same for Sanji and Brook who have NO real excuse for their own pervyness.For some reason Oda and the rest of japan thinks it's funny and it's an unfortente habit of Anime you just gotta kind of live with as long as it does'nt get in the way of the actually important stuff.
