Join me aboard Lufthansa Airbus A340-600 from Mexico City to Munich. Excellent views of the massive city right after take-off.
The flight took us over the Gulf of Mexico across Florida, then upwards along the US East Coast across the Atlantic.
I travelled to Mexico to record several live concerts of a band for a later live release, first clips available on my channel if you are interested.
Very foggy condition in Munch upon landing at 4:50 AM the next morning.
Flight date was December 7 to 8 2015, flight time 10 hours and 45 minutes

That's just the eastern part of the city. Wow, three languages. That's nice.

This channel knows how to film, 1:20 mins into the video and we're airborne. So we can listen to the engines roar for 10 mins. Unlike other channel that show taxi for like 15-30 mins then take off/airborne for 3 mins...just ridiculous.

Best part pf Mexico City is the approach over the city. I‘ve flown there 4 times and always taken a window seat eventhough the flight is 12 hours but then you habe those 10 minutes of approach and you realise it was a great idea

I've been to many big cities. London, New York, Paris, but I want to go to Mexico City, I hear it's the ultimate if you want to experience a massive city.

+Justin Hopkins Man, you have no idea what you're saying hahaha. Mexico City is amazing but it's huge and so crowded!! Hope you enjoy the size and the crazy life we live here when you come. Greetings from Mexico City!

Alejandro Schönfelder Lol, yes everyone thinks I'm crazy, but I love Mexican culture! Any suggestions on where to stay?

+Justin Hopkins there are some good options in downtown, near from the zocalo or on reforma avenue. There are Sheraton, Hilton and Marriott (I'm not sure of this but there are good hotels in the touristic zone). There are some good hotels at the airport (Hilton I think) and maybe it's too expensive, so, the cheaper and good options are the ones in downtown (magestic and other fancy hotels cheaper than the ones I mentioned before). There are even cheaper hotels in downtown; you should take a look in Internet.

+Justin Hopkins sorry if my English is not so good haha. It's been a while since I don't take some course to refresh the knowledge. Hope the last comment is useful for you when you visit this huge and fantastic city.

I've seen a lot of videos from your clips and enjoy every one of them. You take us to the heavens nicely. You have a neat way of giving more than just engine views that of course is awesome but the ground videos are great. Good work👍

The A-340 is such a runway pig and such a LOUSY climb performance! Almost 5 minutes of flying after takeoff before flaps/slats are fully retracted! What a slug! LOL! scarebus lovers triggered in 4, 3, 2, 1... :)

Lufthansa Standard is DE/EN and the language of the route, FR or ES or PT or JP or CN, SCCM has to be able to speak minimum three languages. DE/EN/ES/FR are mostly spoken.

I love Mexico city, i always record my landings and take offs there....I remember sitting downtown Mexico city at a trendy lounge, and it was either Lufthansa or Air France, i dont recall but all i see was around 12 lasers underneath the body of the plane lol, it was funny to see, but at least they didnt point it in the cockpit. Why are there so many flights to Mexico City from Germany or France, would you know? i think like 2x a day? I go there every month with my wife for vacation as that is where she is from and im from Toronto Canada....I love Mexico...Been to Frankfurt, too military, for me, no one smiles there...

+Theo T Many flights from Germany to investment in the automotive industry in Mexico Puebla , many German investment in Mexico specifically in Puebla , in addition to many Germans are coming to live in this Mexican city to open long trade ties , and education and also for Mexico has become a tourist country

Volkswagen has many factories in Mexico and many of the automobiles that circulate are German made. Hence why Lufthansa flies to Mexico City

I love how it just looks like the plane isn't gaining altitude at all, because the landscapes rises as quick as the plane does in the first couple of minutes.
@bazzle_brush

@ecoRfan

Heavy takeoff from very high altitude. Surprisingly not a terribly long takeoff roll despite it being an A340-600.
