If one’s not already sold by Luftrum’s amazing quality, this vid will surely be the nail in the synth-coffin 😊 great showcase! Loving the sounds! Only miss one thing, my buddy Arksuns contribution. He’s soooo good with pads it’s ridiculous ❤️
Thanks Markus. It's never enough, but you did a good job of picking thru the categories for examples. Best L2 vid on RU-vid. PLEASE do you favorites. Preferably before December 31st!
Thanks for watching! I can pretty confidently say I won’t have time before NY to do a favourites video, just so you know not to hold out because of that!
@@MarkusJunnikkala ok thanks. Discount coupon expires on the 31st so was hoping for a "best of" to get a better sense of what some of what you consider "the best patches" sound like.
Thanks Markus, lots of interesting and useable sounds here. Unfortunately my music budget is well and truly blown after Black Friday, but definitely one for the want list! Hope your health is good. Cheers!
There's always zzounds, I didn't have any money for gear when I got started. No credit checks or store cards, just monthly payment was the best. Now I can just sell on reverb for extra money if I need it
Nice run through Markus, appreciated this preview walkthrough for me…. now downloaded off Luftrum site! Søren takes such time to be meticulous in his production of these patches, and each has some subtle but exquisite sonic texture to the tone…. Love ‘em all!! Looking forward to his next update 😎👊🎹🎵🇬🇧🍻
Luftrum sounded that good to me but on an old computer there were some patches that overloaded my cpu. These guys record real anolog synths (or use previous samples from them) and that's why I think they sound this way. Vintage Vault 4 by UVI has a similar quality - for me oversampling modern things is really necessary for them to achieve their best effect, but analog sounds so good that I don't even bother. There's something about an oscillator with its imperfections and unique character that is just gorgeous. I picked up Lunaris 2 this evening and got some nice benefits from the new ability to record x/y and modulators. One thing I couldn't master is how to set up x/y with a regular keyboard controller (or my Leap Motion - which wound up just making a single diagonal line through the X and Y mix when left right was assigned to one, and forawrd & back was assigned to the other - weird, never thought that would be my fate :D .
Great video just what been looking for after watching just grabbed a copy 🎹 today, and is insane😮 nice t-shirt from mass effect great game 🍻 that limiter tricky but there is a lot of beef in those pads 😎
I hope they have a cyber sale or black friday sale! Question: Even though all my levels are good in the gain staging etc. and there is no clipping, i get a distorted quality when i play chords with lots of resonance sometimes. Whats going on there?
If I remember correctly, they have done sales during this time in previous years, so probably! At the very least, they tend to have Winter sales. Based on your description I would still look into gain staging. First check if Kontakt output itself is clipping or not. That’s usually source number one. Then check whether your DAW instrument track or main stereo output is clipping, or a processing unit on there like a limiter, or anything else. Then I’d jump inside Lunaris 2 and see whether there’s a distortion effect used in there that’s causing the issue. If you play a lot of notes, the distortion might struggle to chew on that in a way that still sounds pleasant. Beyond that, check that it isn’t CPU clipping that you’re hearing. If it is, increase buffer size. That’s all I can think of, hope it helps!
Thank you! Best probably in each case to watch the keyboard view if it’s clear enough. I’m sure I’m doing a mix of things, but mostly octaves and fifths, with wandering melodies on top of that if the sound allows it.
I would be interested in how it sounds when you play faster things with it. Maybe a bass Accord and some faster high tones. I can't find anything about it on yt
@@MarkusJunnikkala Also effects bullit in into omnishpere are far way better than Kontakt ( I still use special software plugins for that, also external hardware guitar effects, but omni is really good with included ones). Anyway thanx for demo.
@@montazownianr1 I use 3rd party effects plugins almost entirely, but sometimes libraries have very well tuned effects that I can just tweak to taste a bit. I have noticed them getting better each year.
