Are you looking for a great fishing & dive boat" Then come with me for a tour on this 1972 Luhrs Flybridge boat at South Mountain Yachts. "Hunky Dory" is a wide beam (11' 6") 28 Cruiser with a very large open shallow aft deck that make landing the "bid ones" easy. It's also comfortable to enter & exit with dive gear and to bring lobster hoops aboard. Better yet, just add deck chairs and enjoy! Access to the bow is nice & easy with a wide side-deck and grab rails. At the bow there is room for a seat or lounge pad and the windlass with foot pedals to operate it. The boat is powered with a single Chrysler 318 engine that is fresh water cooled with a "v drive" shaft: it's not original and "about 10 years old and maybe 200 hours".
The bridge deck seats 4+ under the Bimini. At the helm there is a venturi wind screen, radar, GPS, a VHF Radio and stereo. For gauges there are the Flo-Scan for fuel, gas gauge, oil pressure, engine temp and RPM gauge.
The cabin is classically finished in wood with a vinyl floor and lots of headroom. The forward windows along with the opening side windows bring light into the cabin: the wide windows open and have canvass covers for privacy.To Starboard there is a galley with lots of counter space; a dual gas stove, sink, microwave and refrigerator. Forward there is the lower helm station. The V berth is full beam and measures 7' center-line with storage underneath. The best part is a closing door for privacy.
To port there is a raised booth style dinette (with storage underneath), followed by a day head aft.
