honestly, if this was in the movie, it would have shown a lot of things about bowser

God I love this iteration of bowigi. It’s pretty clear that Bowser doesn’t love Peach, he’s obsessed with her. He sees her as the thing that will ‘fix’ him. I think Bowser forging a connection with Luigi would make him realize the difference between obsession and real love Edit: 2.2K LIKES WTF?!?!

As someone who has only ever supported this ship “for the meme” I’m seeing more and more how the movie could have been made better with a plot line like this

I mean if you think about it Bowser has a pretty sad story (note: what I'm about to comment isn't in the movie, it's just game lore) so in Yoshi's Island and Partners in Time Kamek is shown taking care of Bowser when he was younger. Now I think is pretty obvious that Kamek isn't his real father. Bowser probably just wants someone to love him and the love from his minions isn't enough.

AHHH the voices are so good!!! Im glad we’re getting more dubs with these two. Also as a small criticism, i think adding more, small, sound effects would really elevate this!! Like some clanging metal when bowser grips the cage, or a thump sound when luigi falls back! Just a minor critique tho :]

Bowser has an obsession, it isn’t love. And that isn’t healthy at all….He needs to learn the difference between love and obsession to realize the princess just won’t fix everything

Bowser always being angry makes he sad. It makes me feel bad but Idk for what, maybe because he's always seen as this evil villain who cares about no one but his own ideals...Which sometimes he is but sometimes he's nicer than that.

Dude this didn't even have to be bowigi I would just love to see this as a subplot! Like it's nice to see someone calling out another character on something not with a clap-back but with kindness, and to see that character stop for a second and reflect. Even when there is no immediate change in behavior, it sets the scene for character growth and change. Spoilers ahead. For example Zuko joining the avatar in ATLA. He shows a moment of hesitation when Aang asks if they could be friends if the world was different. And when Zuko still lashed out, he also stopped for a moment before and after and his expression tells you that he wonders the same.

i'm normally not big into shipping characters with very few exceptions mostly involving "players and the vassals that interact with the characters on behalf of the players" so things like player[kris] x ralsei for example but not actually kris x ralsei, since in this instance kris would be our mouth piece. that being said i really do like this au. bowser seems to think marrying peach will fix his life it won't but he doesn't know that yet. I used to think a lot like that when i was younger, he needs to grow more and having luigi be his friend or even something more would be beneficial for his growth mentally. but as it stands they need a lot of development before that can happen and it can take years or even decades before a person can find the growth needed to be comfortable with who they are.

I like the dynamic between them it needs to be explore in a television series. I haven't seen the movie yet, I want to, but how fans create something from an idea is fantastic. I liked that Luigi is captured first instead of princess peach in the trailer. It's pretty much an origin story how the Mario Brothers got to the mushroom kingdom because in the trailer they are from our world, and they enter a pipe to the mushroom kingdom. I like that Luigi is kind to Bowser even though he is caged against he will and tries to understand bowser. Which I could believe that's Luigi personality right there. I think it would sick if Bowser and Luigi become best friends later on if there is a television series... not right way, but perhaps it would interesting if they choice to into this route and at the end Bowser becomes alliances to the Mario brother. We thought is over another season seeing them driving cars and racing each other than a new baddy came into the series. That beat the snot out of them including Bowser and Bowser tries to protect the Mario Brothers than dies or injured badly. What do you think as a mario series?

I wonder why the movie couldn’t have gone with something, at least similar to this. This plot line would show something we’ve never seen in Bowser before, give Luigi more screen time, and it would make a lot of people with Bowser or Luigi as their favorite character

Kinda wished this was in the movie. It would be a nice breather and a moment to reflect on things

Honestly while watching the movie, and I know it wouldn't have fit his character too well but, I was kinda hoping Bowser would've had some sort of redemption arc, or at least indicate that his big bad self is closer to a façade than what he really is. I know the whole _point_ of him is to be the bad guy, but we've seen game after game (beside that one moment he had with his son) him be the villain with nothing deeper to it And there doesn't need to be anything more to it. But I love it when villains are more than just the antagonist, that they can be redeemed or at least face conflict in their morals and emotions. I think Bowser really did seek love from Peach, but he's likely had absolutely no direction on what a healthy relationship looks like, let alone what "no" means, hence it spiralled out into an intense obsession over someone who has made it very clear she doesn't reciprocate.

Funny thing being called Greenie. In the navy we use these scrubs affectionately called Greenie Weenies, that are named for their color. We use them for scrubbing vertigrae off brass and copper such as certain pipes and fire nozzles. In other words, the Greenie helps clean the mold and rot from the pipes. Not a bad nickname for a plumber.

1 month later Bowser signed up for Bad-Anon where he met many good bad guy friends sharing his struggles, like: Dr. Eggman, Zangief Clyde and some poor fellow celebrating his 30th video game anniversary, Ralph.

When I saw the close up on Luigi"s face as Bowser's claw went up, I was like: "hum, are you being kinky, creators?"

While I don’t like the idea of bowser and Luigi being in a relationship, I do like the idea of them being good friends

Also people are saying he could escape easily, correct me if I am wrong, but there's still lava at the bottom and he probably doesn't know how to climb it. Even if he did climb it, it's shown in the movie that there's nowhere for anybody to escape too. Yes, he could have left the cage easily, but there's nowhere for him to run off too as there's a dead end on the top with just a ceiling and the lava on the bottom (I can't explain things well so I hope this made sense)

I think that Bowser does _indeed_ love Peach; however, he doesn't know what to do about it, as he's lived a life where he's gotten everything through either privilege--as he's King and one of the Star Children--or by force. Because he hasn't learned any other way, his plan A involves nonsense like burrowing his castle under hers and levitating both of them into the sky, or stealing power stars with the intent on creating an entire Universe just for him and Peach.

This scene would have worked in the movie before the part where Bowser was practicing trying to be smooth and it ends up being similar to this heart to heart talk, except Luigi tries to escape only to be immediately caught and then put into another cage.
