Astral Hall - right cabinet. 4. Projection Room - right speaker. Area 4: BLACKOUT: 1. Tea Room - top left chair. 2. Mirror Room - cabinet. 3. Twin’s Room - bed. After blackout: 1. Sitting Room - chair on left. 2. Cold Storage - left top barrel.
Note about the Speedy Spirit in the Billiard's room: If you don't uncover it before catching Slim, it's gone for good. Chuggaconroy had this happen to him in his let's play unless they fixed it here...
I like how some features that were dropped between Luigi's Mansion and Dark Moon were supposedly dropped because they wouldn't work well on handheld... And here we are...
I just noticed the furniture the speedy spirits are in have a more blue-ish color to them...it wasn’t like that in the original Edit:So I’ve been told the furniture is only blue because he’s using amibo
Area 1, there is one in the anteroom on the far left cabinet. The second one in the master bedroom by Lydia. In Area 2, in the bathroom where you get the first key to the ball room in the sink, the next one is in the butlers room in the far right. Shake the water pot. The next one is in the conservatory by the xylophone, shake the music stand. And the room where the electric fuse is, shake the barrel next to the table. I’m about to start area 3 so I’ll come back if I find them. I know that there is also a speedy spirit in the cold storage in area 4. Hope this helps
If you guys are wondering in the hidden mansion the speedy spirit locations and mario dropped items are not in the same place so i suggest using the luigi amiibo to get them

I remember when I played the original version I tried catching those speedy spirits, only to lose it because my shoulder button on my controller acted up. 😡
U can get all gold mice u missed when theres the blackout. But speedy ghosts sadly not, the blackout only lets u get the speedy spirits that are only appearable during blackouts. There are 3 of those i think, u could look up the lists online like i did, i still missed just 1 speedy spirit i think sadly :( its the one in the study, i actually did get it, but then died on chauncey (i think its the only time i died so far on this game, and it was a close match. i died mainly from all the damage b4 chauncey shrunk me loool cuz i didnt know how to hurt him for awhile lol, and after i died i then didnt get this speedy spirit and then realized i permanently missed it! And it had a red jewel too :(
Marc-Min Well, I want the best of both worlds. The original’s treasures were fun, but at least Dark Moon’s treasure collectibles served more of a purpose than just contributing to how nice the final Mansion looks.
So long as you haven't spawned them yet, with the exception of the Breaker Room Speedy Spirit and the one in the Billiards Room. Those two have to be caught before the blackout. If you spawn one and fail to catch it, it never respawns on that run unless you exit without saving.
How do you make the speedy spirits furniture shine in blue? Also for the hidden mansion some of these speedy spirits aren't actually found in the same furniture and locations as shown in the video, they happen to be in random furniture and or moved to other rooms it seems like.
Yeah I don’t think I ever caught them as a kid on GameCube. Though I remember having to either return the game, or just not play it for a super long time since it was so scary to me 😂
Soo the first Luigis mansion was more like a big ass long arcade game where you try to get a high score not like dark moon interesting never got to play the first one
I looked up this video to confirm something in my game and watching it I realized that I didn’t remember things wrong from the original but my game actually has different locations for certain speedy spirits There was none in the wardrobe room or the dads room but there was one in the moms room I’m wondering if it’s a glitch or if certain ones are now randomized
I missed the speedy Spirits i missed in Neville's room the dining room and the kitchen and when the black out happened i could not find Them i was on the GameCube version why didn't work

whoa whoa hang on a sec....in the original....you flash them even once...and you don't latch onto them with the vacuum they disappeared for good....the remake...you flash them..and they don't disappear? ....Seriously? ...They are the hardest ghosts in the game with the best loot, why dumb them down?
Some ghosts disappear when flashed and some continue on. From what I've seen tere doesn't seem to be a pattern to it. I dunno if that was true for the original or nah.
Water it once as soon as you get the Water Elemental Medal and access to the courtyard and kitchen, once right after you beat Bogmire and once more right after you beat Boolossus, the third time it will give you the gold diamond
Colin Ledoux It's an amiibo function. It helps both veteran & newcomer players locate where a Speedy Spirit is. And coming from someone that played this game a bunch of times on the Gamecube, this helps me out so much.
If you catch Slim, that’s it. It’s gone. The only way to get it is to find him BEFORE catching Slim. Otherwise, you have to start a new save file and try again
