Keep in mind, people who think that in Dark Moon it was Boolossus, it's not. In the games files for online, they clearly state that it is not Boolossus, I think it's name was Big Boo and not Boolossus
Most people in the LM2 community call him Boolossus anyway because big boo is such an uncreative name and he works effectively the same way as Boolossus

Guys you should know that Big boo from Dark moon is not boolossus basically yes its not the actual boolossus he is significantly smaller nor does he share the name boolossus and no bolossus is not a species the reason we see him return is because he is made out of many combined boos and for some reason the mind and whatever of the old boolossus gets like transferred to the new one so i guess he is a character that gets revived when many boos combine

This isn’t the first time a reappearance was lost in translation. Good ol’ “I am error” and “I am bug,” boolossus becoming “big boo” and in pokemon dp pt a couple was meant to be a cameo of the magician and his gf from jirachi wish maker but it got lost in translation
For everyone who is saying he forgot darkmoon or that big boo is different. Technically you are both wrong big boo and boolossus have the same name in Japanese meaning for the American version they are different characters and for the Japanese version they are the same character.
People should realize that Boolossus isn't a "species", it's an actual unique character from the original game. So the name has a sense. Boolossus does not appear in Dark Moon, only "Big Boo". The Dark Moon boss does not share the Boolossus name nor does it look like Boolossus (and yes, I know in the japanese version, the DM boss is called Boolossus, but that's the japanese choice of the traduction of the name, Dark Moon is made by canadian dudes who decided it was NOT Boolossus).
0:35 I honestly prefer the original version of the Booloussus Boss Fight. The echo effects made the boss more realistic and terrifying. 4:05 Removing the echo effects in the 3DS remake totally ruined it for me. :(
Also the boos of the original had a better design as they were also not typical boos hence the 2 fangs. Way better imo lm1 was real "dark" game. Not just catering to kids it was a literal scary mario game.
For a sec, I was like where's Dark moon until I realized... For dark moon you see the eyes? It's just not the same from the other Boolossus, Plus if you don't know! In Luigi's Mansion remake and the other, it has a powerful signal spread out. In Dark moon, King Boo lures Luigi by making a signal himself. "ONLY TRUE FANS WOULD KNOW THAT!
And then you realize that Big boo's name in Japanese for that game actually IS Boolossus and you spiral into a state of questioning what is even real lol
Play the first one it’s fantastic! I’d recommend the GameCube version, but if you don’t have a way to play that version then get the 3DS one. The 3DS port isn’t bad, it’s just not as good in my opinion
Why does Boolossus look so... weird in Luigi's Mansion 3??? Like, his arms and his mouth... so weird. For some reason he has four teeth instead of 2 fangs, and his arms feel so 'blunt' if you know what I mean. And the strange mouth expressions are kind of unfitting.

The Boolossus or big boo whos ever he in the 3rd one is basically king boo but with different eye and tongue color and no crown and one different attack like why did they do that the boolossus in LM 1 and 2 were better cuz in the 3rd one its basically king boo thats fuckin stupid ngl its not different at least in LM 1 and 2 he was different from king boo

I don't care what anyone says, for me Luigi's Mansion 2 Dark Moon Big Boo is Boolossus, just with a different design. If you don't agree then King Boo never appeared in Mario Sunshine.
Thats not actually him, unlike Boolossus which is consisted of 15 boos, the Big Boo from Dark Moon is consisted of 10, plus he also lacks the shadow in the eyes
