Watching all final bosses and endings in the Luigi's Mansion series is like seeing Luigi’s transformation from a scaredy-cat to a ghost-hunting legend. By the end, even King Boo is like, 'Alright, Luigi, you win. Can we just go haunt somewhere else now?
The main take away with King Boo's boss fights is telling of King Boo's gradually losing patience with Luigi throughout the game. King Boo on the first game had everything planned out with his own mansion and everything and even an illusory world with Bowser and all. The second game he's less discreet and wasn't being secretive about his plans now hiding his vendetta towards Luigi showing his ego has been damaged after his first defeat. Then in the third game he doesn't even hide his rage behind a smile anymore showing just how fed up he was with Luigi and just fed up with things not going his way because of him. The boss fight differences can also be an indicator of King Boo's growing rage and frustration that progressed during the three games. First game King Boo had a full nightmare world with a giant Bowser vessel. Second game he traps Luigi in a domain of his own making. Finally in the third game he just fights you at the rooftop showing his frustration was at his peak and he just doesn't care anymore. The three phases in his fight in Luigi's Mansion 3 showed his ever growing frustration where his last phase is just his THAT DOES IT mode.
I agree with you on how King Boo loses his patience. His increasing frustration affects his plans and actions. Yet, his main goal remains about the same: revenge. Revenge on those he deems that has wronged him (and maybe him being a sore loser). Even as a Boo, he is not shy on expressing his thoughts and emotions.
Honestly the fact that king boo smiled so much and was so close to where luigi was throughout the second game, not to mention how much larger he was, made that version of king boo my favorite, he literally used to give me nightmares
I don’t understand why people are so hung up on the horror aspect of Luigi’s Mansion. Like, yeah it was cool, but when people start to compare LM2 and LM3 to the first game, saying that “they arent scary enough” it just ticks me off
@@RenardioMFG i agree, for me i say it because of sone creative choices made in 3 (nothing with 2) of the hotel beong overly bright in a lot of places, also everyone does it because of what you said, the devil that is comparison
@@RenardioMFGThat’s literally everything horror nowadays. It’s “iT hAs tO bE ScArY!” As if the other aspects don’t matter like story. Do they just want a really scary horror with a shitty story?
Luigi's Mansion 1's finale will always be the GOAT. Luigi has to fight Bowser in literally the most traumatic hellscape, turning him into a disembodied head. So badass. And the heartfelt reunion at the end. Delightful! 🥲
Yeah the boss (although a bit janky) is pretty cool, but I felt like the ending was kinda dumb, at the very least Mario and Luigi could have gone in for a hug or something
Luigi's Mansion 2's ending is my favorite. Luigi captures King Boo, rescues Mario, saves Evershade Valley, but most important of all... he gets a best friend in Polterpup.
I really like Luigi’s mansion 2 the most it actually has some scary moments and the final boss is great but three does a great job too I like the more linear style of 2 than the more open concept of 3 mostly because it fits the way my brain works better
I do find it weird that King Boo fights Luigi directly after the first game. Isn’t the whole idea behind boos that they’re cowards and only physically strong in groups?
I think he just took that defeat as something personal, i mean he captured Mario so easily and then this Green forgetable and coward Luigi comes, defeat his Minions, captures him and stole his red gem (the one on it's crown) I would get angry too
I actually like how you see King Boo's gradual transition from indirectly fighting Luigi in LM1, then fighting but still shying away in LM2 (he covers his face when Luigi stares at him just like a normal boo), to finally full-on gloves off and pulling no punches in LM3, his anger overcoming his shy nature. Character development
Imma be honest I seriously didn’t like the 1st version’s final fight It feels like we’re just fighting bowser for the 10000th time instead of king boo like cmon this is Luigi’s mansion not a fricking mainline Mario game Not to mention the ending, I’m sorry but having Luigi laugh at Mario after saving him is so out of character for him. And they didn’t even hug or interacted it just ended right there like what-
@@Gulas206 dark moon and LM3 had better endings and final boss fights imo First you’re ACTUALLY fighting king boo instead of him just possessing another villain And in the ending, it actually showed mario and Luigi reuniting instead of Luigi laughing at mario because he looked funny And if your “Luigi was laughing of joy and shedding a tear” logic was true then these emojis 😂🤣aren’t laughing emojis if that’s your logic
The original was so surreal at the time for me, helped by the fact that the game doesn’t explain what’s going on very much. I’ve been told it’s a Bowser machine of sorts? But the only hint you get about the confrontation is the idea that Bowser actually died at some point.(Madame Clairvoya says someone had to“Revive” him.) So as a kid, my first thought is that King Boo is controlling Bowser’s corpse, which, to be fair, is pretty in-line with the playful Halloween haunted house tone of the rest of the game. Either way, it’s a pretty cool climax.
That's because it's not a remake. Just a remaster with enhanced graphics and stuff like that. The only thing wrong with that is the price btw! Personally, I'm glad I get to play the game for the first time either way.
@@stronautninjatoxic and that's my only problem you know what's also remaster Metroid prime even tho it's a remastered version those graphics look crispy good and the New Dark Moon HD is just a 3ds but HD
Fun fact for Luigi Maison 3 king boo boss fight, you can tell the real king boo apart by just looking at their teeth. The clones have two big teeth apart for the original which has 4 sets of teeth
I've gotta imagine this king boo is bowsers soul from separated from dying multiple times who else could it be, king boo clearly has a similar disdain for the bros not unlike bowser
Let's try doing each and every last ball so I will play. Make a new game every last boss. So maybe do each boss and then we'll work your way up on each game and send it to him. Hey I got you to last boss. I'm gonna collect all of them in each game. I'll just do it over and over again. No, just be the same ending. Like what the fuck
His third time. Going through the mansion at the end of the game. He faces his fears and he's not scared of the ghosts no more. I'm a huge fan of the week's mention. However, I want to get no damage. Can you make a video of of the week? Is mentioned 3 taking no damages of of anything. Maybe you can't see ending if you do that
@@hypersonic4562 there are nearly any Nintendo arcade games here in Greece. The only one I've seen is a mario kart one where you can also play as pacman and that Japanese drum.
Nope, King Boo just controlled his dead body or machine or whatever it was, the only reason his head was able to get knocked off was because he gave luigi a weapon to use against him
