Such a fantastic guy. If you check the replay he is pretty much in the linesmen position. He can totally see if it went in or out, and he looks and simply celebrates, like he said, so yeah, it must def crossed the line, otherwise he would be more fake or hesitant, but he indeed looked very confident about the goal during the match.

What always gets forgotten here is that the ref waited to see the advantage played through because Czech had cleaned out Milan Baros as the ball dropped into the penalty area. So a penalty would have been given.

@wildebest No you seem to not understand the rules when a player puts the ball behind the line it is a try and we then have a conversion in line with that try. Why don't you try harder to understand the sport you attempt to watch.
The referee has said if he didn’t give the goal he would have sent off Cech for the foul and awarded a penalty, so Chelsea were lucky the goal was given.
@@rjn8846 the penalty outcome is not known in that moment. I'd rather be a goal down than facing a penalty and down to ten men, especially as Chelsea had the superior team.
For me a very painfull goal but when Gerrard slipped and Liverpool lost the league i felt so much enjoyment and today in the liverpool vs chelsea match we will see.
