Lexie told me that Luis has been incredibly motivated by the messages he has received on his social media. Before the first video he would hide away, somewhat ashamed of his current state. But since the influx of positive messages he has a renewed sense of purpose and dignity. I have linked his social accounts in the description above, keep the positive messages coming. Luis is about to start therapy and could use a team behind him!
This little girl is so eloquent and her love for her dad. So proud of her to for loving her dad the way he is. There are children that get embarrassed of their parents when they are different. I am going to train my children this way. I want them to know that even though I am disabled and different, I love them. And when they see the love from the parent, they love back. This girl is a model for my children!
feminine guidance I think she means teach, not train. You can raise your kids and teach them how you want them to act. Obviously they’re gonna make their own decisions eventually. But parents can do their best to teach them the right ways to behave towards other humans
Hopefully she stays the same as she grows older because usually around middle school is when people try telling you what's right and wrong. Hopefully she stays the same thought because she's so great with words and hospitality already
@الشر I think the friggin RU-vid algorithm is blocking the videos at random. Managed to bring almost ten people to sign the petition but I don't think we'll see the results soon. I'm glad that Chris puts up an appreciation thread, where we can convey our love to these wonderful people. From someone with a daughter with a condition, this community really means a lot to me.
@الشر Funny thing is, if you go to the appreciation threads, you see internet trolls praising Chris and supporting the interviewees and saying that they're gonna be better people themselves. And that speaks a lot..
Is it just me or does Luis seem somewhat better than in the last video ?? He seems to be moving around a bit more and responding faster and more clearly , perhaps the joy and blessing that’s come upon their family is helping him ❤️
Luis’ progress even just from the last video is incredible. He seems more alert and even more positive (which I didn’t believe was possible, given how positive he already was). His attitude is so admirable and smile is absolutely infectious. He seems like such a wonderful husband and father. He just radiates love in a way I’ve never observed before. Both his wife and daughter are so strong and full of grace. That little girl is already such a force for good in the world. I am so happy that this family now has the independence and freedom that everyone deserves. His wife is so well spoken and is an incredible advocate on Luis’ behalf. Thank you Chris and Alyssa for once again bringing tears to my eyes and joy to my heart.
I love the positivity, don't get me wrong, it's great and I'm sure they're lovely people, I don't doubt it one bit, but please just remember that what people say and how they act on-camera is rarely the same off-camera. For future reference mostly, not for this specific example.
@@ti2218 I get you. The responses and the way they gel though seems pretty sincere. If that were not the case, the kid being so young would have already given that away from the first video through her actions.
Dailymail made a note and a video about them on 2021 and Luis advances are outstanding!!! I'm very happy for them. I think youtube instantly deletes comments with links, but I can say Luis can move his head around now, gesture with his hands and say more words, they also talk about how he's doing therapy at home, but it's just not the same. (Because of the virus I guess)
@@ti2218 Kids are good at giving away our secrets. This child is amazing,positive,loving,well-mannered and obviously well raised. That's more than enough proof of what kind of family this one is even under massive challenges.
I felt sad when she suddenly got sad after the mom mentioned how it'd been a long time since she was able to do things with him (and the mom noticed her reaction)
Well you know, fame attracts a lot of things in your life and they might not want all of that attention. Personaly I think it would be great for them to start a youtube channel with vlogs and everything but as I said, they might not be about that and want a very simple life, they don't need much more than love.
yes and i hope that now that Luis can finally start with therapy he will only get better ❤️ it's a shame therapy wasn't financially accessible for them for so many years :(
@Danny Branderson - not just "special needs" people but also babies AFTER they are born. If the mom decides it is too disabled or she just doesn't want it. Sick isn't it? My sister has a son with Down syndrome and he's 30 years old now and is the most amazing human being you'll ever meet in your life. He is happy and content and excited every day. He exudes enthusiasm and the world is a better place because of him. Sometimes I think us 'normal' or able-bodied people need to be more like the special needs people... Happy and Content. Most people always seem to be chasing happiness, where they are just happy with what they have and can do at that moment in time. We can learn a lot from them.
Luis definitely looks much better than he did in the last video. I can tell he's quicker with his reactions and he's even moving faster. He looks much happier and so does the whole family. I wish nothing but the best for this amazing family! He's so lucky to have such a loving wife and daughter. He's definitely blessed!
The fact that the first thing he thought of when Chris asked what he liked about the park was “the trees…” I teared up. It must have been so difficult for him to not be able to venture out into nature for so long. He skateboarded and rode motorcycles before his accident, so he’s clearly a guy who loves being outside, feeling the wind through his hair, and seeing what nature has to offer. To have that missing from your life for so long, the thought is heartbreaking. I am so happy to see this beautiful family out and about and enjoying the world.
I am impressed, how this Family handles this Situation. My dad had a stroke, when i was 12. He went blind and paralyzed due to mistakes of the medical staff. He was the most important human to me. Took care for him nearly 30 years. That's not an easy thing to do. I know it. Stunning, what love makes you do! ❤️from Austria
ikr I don't believe in god much but i pray that girls like her can grow up and make their dads proud. I'm sure the dad feels extremely lucky to have both of them in his life.
@@fzprof1756 Look at the girl she feels happy when her father is happy and compare it to most kids today who cry all day and only find joy in materialism. That family here experience true love. unconditional love
@@inventorofsalt That's exactly what I was telling my little Brother! Most kids today just want to be a RU-vid star, and make lots of money and get a gazillion views, but not this little girl. She's just your average girl who's happy with life and her family and enjoys playing, as kids should be.
To everyone who donated, you did not just change one family's life, you changed the world, you took three people and made them happy and great full and you made all of their dreams come true. Just by a few simple dollars you helped these people do things that might have seemed impossible then, with happiness and joy. You are all amazing and wonderful and I hope this teaches everyone that a little bit of love from everyone can change the world for the better. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Benjamin Stacey everyone who donated brought all that love you mentioned and they enabled it to be brought outside for the world to see and share in a family's. My hope that they can be a ripple effect in their communities shining light on to one passerby at a time💕
The little girl saying she thinks that skating in front of her dad will make him proud...to say that shows just how smart and sweet that she is. Brought a tear to my eye.
Thank you for not putting them on the spot and trying to exploit their reaction to the AdSense money. You were filling through with your word and that's it, not a big production. This is the most respectful and GENUINE RU-vid channel I've seen. Any other large YT channel would try to make that a clickbait video on it's own ugh. Cringy. Thank you for showing this beautiful family and how the can changed their lives!
I was thinking the exact same thing. I see so many people shoving cameras in homeless people’s faces while they eat the burger they just handed them and it’s honestly so disrespectful and rude. It’s almost like people forget human decency when it comes to situations like that
@@KyeHortonNinjaWindowCleaning Hi Kye , Chris was on Google...he started out as a special ed. teacher...it took off from there . Chris is a very special man that is GENUINE. ...the talk he gave on Google was amazing & sincere. I hope you can find it. I tried before texting you but couldn't find it...btw I stink at finding things if it's not in " my library "!! I'm an elder & not so familiar with how this all works, yet!! But it's there 😂
Would we also just look at the mom's words and body language. The strength, affection and sweetness she's radiating, is the realest thing I've seen in a while. What a woman ❤
That young woman's positivity, love and JOY had been reproduced in their daughter. Let's be careful of whether we're complaining or grateful- we are the manual to life that our kids learn by
This mother's love and dedication for her husband is a great example to her daughter of what a wife should be to her husband in sickness and in health, mom and daughter are doing a great job in taking care of him, blessings
@@Immortal_coil4 These days? Do yourself a favor and do a quick wiki search on how the disabled have been treated throughout history, newsflash, compassion for people with these conditions is a recent phenomenon which has a lot to do with advances in medical technology, and a tremendous amount of effort on the part of advocates to help provide a platform for the disabled over the last one hundred years. People often seem to confuse changes in their own perception as they develop and grow older with changes in society. Society didn't suddenly change, you just lost your rosy image of the world as you aged.
Lexie is such a strong, beautiful woman. She supports Luis and their daughter, and is teaching her daughter to be a strong, independent, compassionate, and confident little girl, and it just makes me so happy to see that. They're gonna be alright :)
dude i can see him in there, im not lying, compared to the first video theres this incredibly intelligent and self aware sparkle thats there. luis might not ever fully come back, but i know that hes going to gain more function back, i can see him inside those eyes fighting his way back to the surface. hes in there for real.
@@vinbin423 no, this was different and you are trying to pick a fight. you dont belong in this comment section or in the base of this videos viewership because you totally miss the purpose of the channel. id say something else but i respect the man who made this video and his values more than some dope with a keyboard.
Sa Lu omg I think the same. He is a gorgeous man. And his wife is beautiful and they made an insanely special and beautiful little girl together. I hope the world is their oyster now!!!
Absolutely! He was doing really well in the first video, but this almost looks like a different person! He's come so far, I can't wait to see how much farther he goes. I hope they keep up with the updates!
Such a strong moment when he called you "hermano" at the end. He was grateful and saw exactly how pure your intentions are with this community you have created here Chris. Amazing!
Special Books by Special Kids Thank you for responding ❤️ She certainly is... May God bless you and this beautiful family! 🙏🏽😊 P.S - Great job vlogging!
I was thinking that too! I'm bilingual also and I know the process of having to switch backs and forth between Spanish and English when talking to different people and even I get messed up sometimes. Its incredible that he does this so well still!
Chris, I would like to tell you from the bottom of my heart, you are doing the work others are to afraid to do, you are normalizing what is considered abnormal and making these people’s lives much, MUCH, better, to you and everyone working with SBSK, thank you, thank you all so very much.
Clover is such an intelligent, thoughtful, beautiful child. Having such a loving, seriously disabled dad has undoubtedly heightened her awareness, and increased her empathy, sensitivity & consideration for others. Her mom is an excellent role model, of course, as well...
I'm crying like a baby! This is one of the most beautiful families I've ever seen. Luis is a great strong man and so is his wife. Their daughter is so mature for her age, wise beyond her years, well mannered and so freaking gorgeous! They are all so beautiful! I wish them all the happiness and luck in the world. Luis, I hope your life gets better and easier everyday. You guys are inspiring, I love you! ❤
Which is SUCH a frikkin unbelievably beautiful, soothing feeling in this day and age ♥️ their story is a blessing and a gift to all of us humans, I truly believe that.
It is important that we can all be like Chris! All Chris is doing is treating these people with love and compassion, the same he would anyone else. We should all be more like Chris, and we all can be 🎉
I noticed the van was using a Braunability wheelchair ramp. I helped work on the little chrome logo that goes on the back of the vans that use those ramps. It's cool to see my work in the wild. Really happy for Luis and his family. this is awesome!
I hope he is able to get a device to communicate next, he seems to have so much he wants to say! I get so much anxiety watching his eyes because he expresses so much through them. I was crying by the end, so awesome they have the van now.
He kept trying to speak but they would speak over him or he wouldn’t have a chance to get a word in. I’m sure they didn’t mean to, but that’s what seemed like was happening. I think a communication device would be great for him!
I love to see my brother and his family so happy and joyful!!! :D Thankyou Chris for everything you did for him and his family!! never thought you were gonna travel to Mexico to give them their van!! There are lots of nice good people still around the world!!!
Yes trees. Simple things becime big things when you go through what he has been through. Being indoors means he does not get the opportunity to appreciate nature. We must never take life for granted.
sadly every youtube video/channel that is categorized as "for kids" automatically has their comments removed in order to prevent "bad people" from preying on children. another way bad people ruin everything for good people. i mean honestly... why do you think we have police? it's because grown adults don't know how to not steal from each other. people are just bad in general. that's why youtube shuts the comments down in children's videos. it's a sad reality. if they make an exception for this channel then they'd have to make an exception for all the other children videos
The people coming to watch videos from this channel are good people. Mostly people are mean to those who look and behave differently. Notice how many people interviewed mention others being unkind to them? Human nature is not very nice sadly. If one person started vile comments, I'm sure many others will follow.
I don't know why i'm crying so much, I can't stop. You can literally FEEL this man's love for his daughter and his wife and it is so beautiful and pure. You can see it in his eyes when he looks at them. And when he said what he liked most about the park: "the trees, and you", i lost it.
Don't think I've ever seen money better spent, or a family who love each other more. 3 absolutely beautiful souls..and so resilient..what a fantastic family. And the little girl..my gosh, she is such a credit to her parents. I'm filling up..All the very best to this wonderful family for the future 🙏💚
Finally a video with the comments on. I will take the opportunity to express myself here about this channel. First of all, I love this channel so much. It makes me cry a lot, but I really try not to because I feel that if I cry they would think I feel sorry for them, but I don't want them to think that. I want them to think that I am so happy for these people. The love they give and share with others is incredible. I wish I had the same happiness, love and strength these people have. And to the creator of the channel: I just want to say how grateful I am. Thank you very much for creating this channel and thank you very much for making these videos.
I was so happy to find a video where RU-vid hadn't blocked the comments. Considering SBSK had their channel blacklisted over a year ago, I'm truly sad RU-vid has not amended their wrong-doings. I hope one day the comments can come back to SBSK so we can all share and spread the love.
I would like to echo what others are saying here. It is mind boggling the amount of love these differently abled guys generate and receive. I have some awareness of this community but these vids have given me a whole new perspective. SBSK please keep these wonderful vids coming. You are doing so much good both by informing the public in a delightful way, enabling people to link with your interviewees and when necessary to fund raise. God bless all involved. Lots of love and prayers from England. PS If SBSK creators ever come to the UK I would be honoured to offer accommodation. XX
This is one of the most wholesome things I've seen. Nothing but love and compassion on this channel. Shame on RU-vid for trying to silence one of the few genuine and love-filled communities on this platform...
I was having a really rough day and this definitely changed my outlook. It feels so great to be a part of something so big. You're a wonderful person and I love your docs.
Funny enough, that's kind of what communism is about "From each according to his ability, toeach according to his needs", but in general community being community, working *together* and not being isolated. Yet people were conditioned to see the communist idea as something bad...
This is an absolutely beautiful family. I'm so happy they got that van! Also, Clover is absolutely lovely, she's so polite and well-spoken. She has great fashion sense too!
She loves her dad! and he loves her!! Beautiful relationship and friendship! You’re a lucky man to have such a wonderful wife and daughter!! You have what every man would love to have!! ❤❤❤
