loving these vibes for the mets rn, after they were dead in the water a month ago it was a brutal june but that winning streak came through for them , they're still in the fight for that wild card

Hearns needs to add some top level pitchers to the bullpen period. This is our biggest weakness & we could easily have 9-10 wins instead of losses. A lefty reliever like Josh Hader who could pitch the 8th & close occasionally to complement Diaz would be perfect. Our starting rotation & offense have been our strengths. We’ve surged even without ace Kodai Senga who should be back soon. Severino has regained his old form & he os a big reason for our strong starting pitching. Now Manaea has a player option. Quintana is the oldest at 34 & while still solid he has an expiring contract. Peterson is realizing his potential & putting it together. Megill has a live arm but is inconsistent. We have some exciting young pitchers helping like Scott & Butto with top pitching prospects Tidwell & Sproat rising quickly which means they should be arriving in 2024 or 2025. Now Severino is a stabilizing veteran presence in the rotation. I’d argue we shoukd extend him a year for stability & continuity. Having him & Senga atop the rotation will keep the rotation strong & deep, & they’ll be solid veteran mentors for the young pitchers & team. We could look to extend JD Martinez & Bader too. Martinez has been solid for us & he can be a force for us until our top young prospects arrive. Same with Bader. Top prospects Jett Williams & Drew Gilbert have been hurt but they should be arriving soon. Same with Acuna. They’ll add a lot of speed & some power to the offense. Gilbert is our future CF & he can platoon with Bader. Acuna could be startinf games at 2nd with Iglesias. Same with Jett who can play all over. Ryan Clifford could be our power hitting RF & can take over for Marte. We have a strong team now but also have a bright future. We have a lot of exciting young pitchers & dynamic hitters arriving soon. They should make this team even more dynamic & dangerous. Extend Severino, JD & Bader. Trade Quintana & McNeil. Add to the bullpen. Call up Acuna. We’ll be set for the stretch run & beyond.🙂👍 LFGM!

@@parlayentertainment2049 Thanks for reading it & thanks for the kind words & compliment. I know it was a bit wordy but I try to be thorough & detailed. Social media has affected our attention spans to where most people just want to read or write short pithy & witty comments even for complex or important topics. This can be problematic as many oversimplify complex topics, or discuss or debate important subjects in a superficial manner. It’s not only a disservice on many levels but can cause problems like trivializing serious subjects. This is just baseball talk but I like to be clear & nuanced.
