Led by Luka Doncic's career-high 60 PTS and 21 REB, along with 10 AST, the Dallas Mavericks defeated the New York Knicks, 126-121, in overtime. Spencer Dinwiddie added 24 PTS, 6 REB and 5 AST in the victory. Quentin Grimes tallied a career-high 33 PTS, along with 6 REB and 4 AST for the Knicks in a losing effort. The Mavericks improve to 19-16 on the season, while the Knicks fall to 18-17.

I've don't think we've ever seen a player quite like Luka Doncic. The guy's truly one of a kind. 23 years old, plays as slow as a sloth, putting up historic numbers every season, and has the demeanor of champion-caliber player from the moment he entered the league. Without a doubt, he will be a first-ballot HOFer someday

That's bit of a stretch and seems to be a an echo from bias media. He isn't slow certainly not like a sloth. No one ever can do what he is actually doing. He moves fast but mixes in angles and lateral movement along with other expressions. I agree these added attributes slow him down some but it's unstoppable and he is efficient while mostly always making the correct decision based off of how the defense approaches him.

In town for the holidays, parents got me and my 2 younger siblings tickets to this game for Christmas. Was fortunate enough to see this in person. Half the stadium left around 1:30 left, when we were still down by like 10. I almost left, but my siblings made me stay. How glad I am that they did. This was simultaneously an all time comeback, and an all time performance. A true privilege to have witnessed. Even better to have experienced with my brother and sister. Thank you Luka + the Mavs! I’ll remember this forever

Luka's eruption of pure joy and elation along with the crowd after making that shot is so infectious it's absolutely unreal; and it all happens while he's telling his team to get back on d. A great moment in NBA history, a young guy having the composure to knock down all the important shots, but never forgetting to have the time of his life while playing the game he loves. Watching his reaction is honestly just as fun as watching him make the shot.

Yes, it is even weird to watch these clips and see, how it is possible to walk in the middle of defence ans score points. It shows, how skilled he is in using his body and creating the paths, because he makes it look so easy. If this was the first time I see basketball, I would say that there is no defence, and sometimes it is true. Exceptional player like Doncic can do whatever he wants.

Lucky. I went to one of Kobe’s last games in 2016. At the last minute he was questionable which was bad cause we drove 6 hours to see him. Long story short he went from questionable to having the most points in his season (38) up to that point. He did it against the young timberwolves and Wiggins/Lavine. Westbrook and harden did not have that much accuracy. And he's only 23, his trueshot% is rising every year. Vs the Knicks 😴😴😴 he took literally all the shots of the team, camped the zone, played no defense to grab rebounds, and forced the teammates to shoot with the shot clock about to expire, all of that to struggle against the Knicks. The fact their center grabbed 0 rebounds is all the evidence you need to know their are not even playing to get W's but just to inflate Luka's stats. They will win exactly 0 rings playing like this.

For perspective, there have only been 6 players to record a 50 point triple double. Only one other player has ever had a 60 point triple double (James Harden) and Luka had almost twice as many rebounds. On top of the insane 44 second comeback in the fourth. This may be the most impressive individual game in nba history.
