@@ninnak-ve5koyes, but you can see on Kyrie's face that he trusts Luka. no doubt what Luka is about to say. Mutual respect cause they are both ballers. It is Luka's team, yet he is the first to show he is in awe when Kyrie makes some crazy shiet, or hit some game winner. Im fact, why am I using so many words. He looks at him like a friend. Relationship he obviously didn't have with another star in the league.
til he went to Dallas, I belived he was the issue on all of those teams. now he is happy, and is winning with a "ball hog that still hasn't win a ring". Btw, I love how people say Mavs fvcked up letting Brunson go. They got Kyrie Irving ffs
@workinginthewell3498 I think that’s more of a testament to the Mavs Staff, especially owner Mark Cuban, and how they handle Kyrie. On the Nets, Kyrie was given a single banana during Ramadan and told that was it. The Celtics didn’t give him a thing because they did not care. The Mavs? They literally fly in a personal chef during Ramadan to cook meals for Kyrie. When you have an organization that values you, it will definitely help with any battles you face outside of the game.
@workinginthewell3498 the guy that was 2nd in assist per game is a ball hog. Do you even watch basketball? You definitely don't watch the Mavs with that statement. On top of that Luka is widely considered one of the best passers in the NBA. He hit Lively with an alley-oop from the opponents freethrow line. There's maybe 5 players that could pull that pass off. Kyrie playing next to Luka has had one of his best seasons of his career. Kyrie missed the 50-40-90 season by .3 on his FG%
Kyrie and Luka are the best they've ever been. Both have grown and expanded their skills and playing the game differently. As an outsider, it's incredible to watch.
He doesn’t have to be “the guy” here. I’d be happy too. Luka will take all the bullets from fans and media if Dallas doesn’t win a chip. Just like Bron did in Cleveland. Kyrie admitted that he didn’t understand what it was like to be in that position with championship expectations until he mistakenly left for Boston.
@@DoubleYTMavs fans love Powell, mainly because they see he's a good guy and a great teammate. However, liking a guy as a person & teammate doesn't mean that they think he should be starting or even playing meaningful minutes on a team that wants to be a contender.
@@uasakura🧢... I'm trying to force a man to take a vac you respectfully declined and they made it a big spectacle to try to get him to do it... Since then a bunch of people have gotten money for being forced to do so.... NYC had to do a big settlement to nurses for firing them because they didn't take the same thing... They didn't want to pay him they try to leverage the media to justify paying him less and then work out. I'm on Nets fan... I was highly disappointed in the nets when they traded him
@@uasakura bro stood for something he believed in that he felt was bigger than basketball but I assure the nets miss him that team is horrible and kyrie could at least sell tickets they stuck with Dennis and bridges 😂 they so miserable they haven’t gave up on Ben Simmons
Kobe said a long time ago that he stopped caring about ESPN because they're idiots. This was especially after that 1 year where they had him ranked 25 or sth
@@TheRafaelBond Achilles and all they was never a time where 24 people were better then kobe bryant. Theres not even 24 ppl all time better than him lol
While I don’t dispute there’s a lot of people who seem to forget that the mavs had to make 3 moves which are the reasons they’re still playing. One was use DJJ more like other teams should have but even bigger were the true trades they needed to make that people are forgetting which was getting Gafford and PJ Washington or the squad the mavs had before that with Kyrie & Luka would already be at home. It was failing as far as trying to truly compete for a chip and why the moves had to be made under their watch.
@@BMDIIIthat's how comments work, you comment on what you seen in the video, or point out something you found interesting. Stop being petty online and get your life in order so you don't have to be like this to people you don't know online. Best of luck
Who is the interviewer insulting these skilled superstars after they won the third in a row? Luka & Kyrie are lighting up everybody’s TV screens & hearts , we’re all happy & lovin these guys… & Next time an interview turns into an attempt at interfering with your happiness, please shut the hater down & walk out like Kobe would have.
@@5pazz by who? Go back n check.. only Tim Legler liked the trades.. everybody else who works for ESPN said they gave up too much for players who might not make much of a difference
Just shows people don’t actually analyze based on facts they analyze based on emotion. Dude wants to be his own person and gets outcast for that. Since when is being your own person shunned? He was always a top tier baller and ppl were like “nah I just don’t like him so he’s bad”. Wild…
Stephen A Smith is an excellent basketball player he played at some obscure college. I think he averaged two points a game or maybe it was he scored four points his whole career…either way he’s their number one expert.
its all about chemistry and atmosphere... i feel like luka is all about positive and winning, makes it easier to play around him , also dallas and what cuban built is also a good energy place
as a celtics fan, i like seeing Ky happy. didnt realy care he didnt wanna stay in boston. if your unhappy at any job u got the right to leave. not like he requested trades, he played out his deal. only issue i ever had as a fan was him stomping on the logo haha. other than that its all love and wish him nothing but the best.
I think you as a celtics fan forgot why y'all hated Kyrie so much for leaving. Usually you voice your frustrations before just up and leaving. Kyrie voiced that he was STAYING ON THE TEAM then dipped. Thats why I dont respect it
@@dakota8381That makes 0 sense. I'll give an example. Donovan Mitchell recently said that he loves Cleveland and wants to stay but we all know it's bs and he'll leave soon. Your reasoning is false because athletes say stuff all the time. Sometimes they even say they'll leave just to threaten the management to accept whatever conditions they have. Ultimately, it's a place of business. Even if you do sth that's frowned upon like what KD did(going to the team that beat him and get easy rings) it's still a valid strategy and is understandable if you think about it.
He just wasn't mature enough nor did he understand the difficulty of bring ah true #1 & primary leader of sh team that has high expectations...that's it bro....he realize now how hard LeBrons leadership was & underestimated what he was doing & once he threw himself in that saw its not easy & u do need someone else there to take the pressure off & help...& he know that he's not that & has settled into his role
@@dakota8381 i get that, i know he did that. but shit happens in life, u might not like ur job after u liked it for a while. id leave if i wasnt happy, so cant blame him. our teams fine so we straight.
Kyrie is one of the best finishers around the rim and a super fun player to watch. Im glad he is in a place where he is happy and can just be happy playing the game. I think he brought some good basketball maturity to Luka also. I admit I didnt see it working either but they play well together and the mid season trades were smart.
Exactly. No one was talking about those guys languishing where they were before. These two open a lot of opportunities around the rim. Gafford has been playing like a monster around the rim. The FIRST game Gafford and PJ were there they both popped off. Love to see good dudes get a chance to compete in a better team.
Not just Kyrie trade, even Gafford and PJ's trade was graded D Grade by ESPN. And no one from ESPN picked Mavs to win the series, all of those so called ESPN analyst s picked OKC to win in 6 games. ESPN really hates Luka and the Mavs.
To be fair, it initially looked like the trade didn't work, but Kyrie and Luka have adjusted and figured out how to play with each other. Kyrie is a proven champion, so maybe that is the boost to get Mavericks a championship.
@LuciaAIArt "to be fair'? They grade the trades immensely after the trades occur, they don't wait until after the playoffs end to grade all trades. Stop trying to defend ESPN, they deserve this L, your defense is ridiculous and pathetic, stand down
Kyrie was LeBron best teammate, had Boston the #1 seed his first year before he got hurt, had Nets up 2-0 before he got hurt, and idiots really thought it would not work with Luka 😂😂😂😂😂😂
In what year did liberals have turned on the people that they were attacking Kyrie for even though Kyrie didn't say anything wrong against them Nike immediately had to deal with an individual that didn't understand he's in a lawsuit and to stop promoting the thing he's being sued against
@@rplayer360Democrats and Republicans both do this same bullshit yall are the reason nobody take politics seriously the 2 party system is a corrupt and dead idelology
@@daijourcalloway998he doesnt know how to talk but his point is true liberals went from hating kyrie for saying stuff about isreal and jewish people, but now all they talk about is palenstine and how horrible isreal is
His defense has been ELITE, Hes still 50/40/90 and has legendary handles and finishing ability WHILE being known as CLUTCH? TOP THREE? HE MIGHT BE THR BEST PG. I could make that argument.
Ngl, I didnt think it would work out either. Luka never played defense and Kyrie didnt show any sign of unselfishness before. But things took a turn, Luka has been playing solid defense and (I never thought I would say this) Kyrie has been too unselfish this season, and with the adding of PJ, Gafford, Lively, the Mavs has become a different team now. With a little bit of luck, they can have a decent shot at the ring. Hats off to these guys, and good luck to them.
You don't know Kyrie if he never showed unselfishness... Passively watching what was happening and accepting everything that the media was saying is not a proper way to analyze situations Kyrie did not change to prove you are wrong, the media in NYC is always been known to be toxic...
They missed the playoffs entirely last year because of this trade. The trades during the offseason and regular season built the foundation for the team they are now so much more.
They did not miss the playoffs because of the trade they tanked on purpose to get a top 10 pick in the draft to get lively and ky and luka barely played together last season get yo information right
Extreme respect for Kyrie. He has shown tremendous humility in this trade and season. People forget he has a ring. Let’s not sleep he has the best handle in the league and is one of the last true point guards left.
He gotta go there as a free agent. Murray hasn’t been doing his part this series against the wolves that’s all, he just needs to focus up and play better
Nah Murray is perfect fit in Denver idk how this take comes up after a series where he’s guarded by Jaden Mcdaniels, Ant and Gobert behind on help I mean the suns showed that the wolves are guards nightmare
@@itzyoussef2291he is injured relax, the wolves have the best defense in the league Murray is great but he ain’t Jokic and he still isn’t fully healthy
I love how its 2 stars with role players. Luka starts the game hot. And when he needs a bucket he just passes it to Ky and Ky gets it. One of the best 1-2 punch in the league. Other than the obvious Joker and murray who Mike just knows how to stack perfectly. Im hoping they loose tho.
I just love kyrie’s true fans , says alit about their character… Big up To Kai fans and to all the people that truly SEE this brother ….. blessing to him and his
