I love how he pays homage to his Dad, Neil Young, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmie Vaughn. He seems like the real deal!! Not to mention that voice, Wow! He is a deep study for sure! Love everything I am hearing!
Wonderful acoustic version of a Larry Davis classic, Texas Flood. Lucas seems like a really grounded human, credit to his Mom and Dad and the positive influences in his life.
What a great interview & a high mark of how an interview should be conducted. I.E. Let the person who is being interviewed 'do the talking' ! And what a revelation in so many ways of how down to earth & talented Lukas is, what respect he has for his dad & his peers, but also how grounded he is wrt his own talent. You can see why he is so respected (viz Bradley Cooper, Gaga, Neil Young & others). Man, I LOVED this interview. May you all be blessed in all that you do.

On The Beach one of my favorite albums of all time. Neil is a genius and always puts his money where his mouth is. I saw saw these guys play with him and god damn they can rock!
Although this interview & song was published & performed more than 1 yr. ago the song that Lukas Nelson sang 2 the end of this interview was VERY AWESOME!!!
The interviewer only needed to ask a few questions and Lukas just takes off, chatting, shooting the breeze and sharing interesting stories with openness and honesty. The people he has grown with are just amazing and it is evident how their talents and influence has rubbed off on him. He plays guitar with such ease and skill and of course, his greatest gift, his voice, just pours out with raw emotion and feeling. Lukas simply makes me want to stop, breathe and enjoy life.

Such a privilege to be backing up this century’s greatest rock/folk artist of all time - Neil Young. Lukas named his band from a song off NY’s 1974 “On the Beach” Album - Walk On. Some get stoned, sooner or later it all gets real.

LARRY DAVIS: TEXAS FLOOD, Peacock Records 1958, I'm sure SRV would be the first to give credit to Larry Davis for writing that tune, in addition to "The Sky is Cryin'"as written by Elmore James,it hasn't been a century and yet people are so digitally self absorbed they neglect to recognize historical facts. SRV was a progressive member of the blues history and gave his predecessors their rightful dues, follow his example and do the same.

Willie is one of my favorite musicians and I love that Lukas can hold his own. I would love to buy that guy a beer and hear some stories.
I listen to a lot of music on RU-vid and quite frequently I'm doing something else while I'm listening and all of a sudden, it just stops and it's like "WTF?" Is there a way to stop that from happening?
Unfortunately he’s not as good as Neil was but who is The film is sadly awful but in a pretty place Problem with this is he’s singing about poor me but he clearly isn’t. No authenticity makes shit music
