I'm almost 54 years old and a former professional mechanic and truck driver and I don't care what anyone thinks or says about me either. I have a heart and a lot of emotions within it too... I personally believe that it takes a real man to shed a tear over his inner emotions rather than be the tough guy without any emotions at all. I've lived and learned about life and love and I'm still kickin too!

I sat down listened to this and remembered how blessed I am to still have my father in my life and appreciate all the sacrifices he has made to keep me happy

This song means so much to me. My grandfather is like my dad to me. The second verse gets me because I remember going through the same feelings before my first deployment and having the same conversation with him.

I thank you for the cleansing tears! I didn't grow up on country, I was a metal head. As I got older and the lyrics of country sank in, I started listening to more of it. This is a little late, but this is the 1st time hearing this song & it so reminds me of my dad. He's been gone 15yrs now & I still miss him every day.

I 100% believe you when you say you aren't a crier, because neither am I. I typically dont really cry during sad movies, or anything that is fictional and I know isn't real. And this is the first time in a long time a song truly made me tear up. I both love and hate listening to it, because I always said that the day my father leaves, will be the end of the world. And this was always a thought, but after my uncle passed away (was very close to him, and the death was very unexpected) it just reminded me of all of the people in my life that I will have to see go. My mother, my father, my grandmother, those are just days that I have always dreaded, but now it is something that is on my mind everyday. I know it isn't healthy to have those negative thoughts on your mind constantly, but they are. And they have been for the past 7-8 months. This song just hits that cord for me. I think the reason for that is because when my father talks about his eventual death that is what he will tell me. The song is amazing, best country song that has came out in awhile in my opinion, probably my favorite (and at the same time least favorite) luke combs song. Sorry rant over.

I lost my dad out of nowhere last July. I'm a 40 year old man that did 18 years in the military and 5 deployments to combat zones, but I still cry like a baby sometimes when I think of him being gone.

I love this reaction , this song literally hits everyone i do not csre who you are and this helped me a lot when i was going through a hard time with a break up , trying to explain too my 3 beautiful babies that i will always be there even though im not leaving and they have learnt to deal with it easier now thank fully.
