@user-qy8qh3lm2l There's a place called Kampung inggris (english village) in Pare - kediri. And yeah the place is famous for indonesian to learn English
Peoples says she speaks “basic” English, but NO, its more than basic for non native English speaker. (Esp. Shes a random street vendor AND omg at that age!) Yes she said most easy things for business matters but not all people with “basic” English knowledge could talk smoothly and make a good convo, I mean she understood the context and can reply it excellently. She even instantly knows “no change” meaning in this context . After all, practice makes perfect, great job bu! 👏🏻👏🏻
You obviously haven't traveled much. Just because someones skills are impressive to you does not mean they are more than basic. There is no such thing as not basic 'for a non native' or 'for her age'. Knowledge doesn't discriminate. You do ;) I loved her 'and my nickname' and I loved her confidence.
@Ryan Fitts roughly "I don't look proper/beautiful now" (if she know that someone would filmed her she would be more prepared, dressed up, put a little makeup, etc.)
Ibu nya pantes dibayar 100k soalnya diantara penjual yang berlomba lomba ngasih harga mahal ke bule,si ibu tetep kasih harga sama kayak orang lain 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@KRIZAR pagans used to believe in Allah but also idols. Nowadays Muslims do not believe Allah being an idol but we believe he is one God and not multiple
@krizar6337you don't even know who we are worshipping and why we are told to face Ka'bah as direction lol. My hope is you will back to find the truth, alas if you can't that's not my problem.
Lahh . Bisa bahasa inggeris je pun nak dihairankan ? Dasar kodok bawah tempurung lah orang +62 , di setiap negara lain setakat bahasa inggeris ni gampang banget . 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well I don't think so, I think that would be more like $2 , but eating street food in Indonesia is not really safe, I'm still recovering from food poisoning
@@dewaabiyyu761 yeah, my stomach already is used to it, and also you have been eating the food for years, there r some bacterias that ur body already knows it and u r immune to it, but the buleh badan can't stand it, and they get food poisoning, Indonesian food is tasty but not so clean
she literally said "aduh ibu nya lagi ga cantik" which means she's not in her prettiest self at that time, cause she noticed that she's being recorded. gotta love her ❤️
Pedagangnya mestinya sama, kuasai sedikit-sedikit bahasa Inggris buat aktivitas jual beli. Setidaknya buat antisipasi kalau turisnya nggak ngerti bhs lokal sama sekali. Jadi mereka juga nyaman belanja di Indonesia.
@Rein Amber idk but I think it's not about her actually, I think there should be a better solution to improve high school students, especially in English
padahal bukan di Bali, tapi utk sekalas ibu ini yg bukan tinggal di Bali, ini udah termasuk expert bgt bahasa Inggris nya,emak2 pula, dan dia memahami bahasa Inggris aja udah expert bgt utk sekelas emak2👍
Mostly in Indonesia we can speak two or more languange. The first one is Bahasa Indonesia which is our national languange and second one is our tribe languange (ex; i speak Balinese bcs i'm from Bali.). English is like our third or even fourth languange. So, it's good to see Ibu Ati can speak these basic english.
@@kevinhermawan369 Yes. Even with that fact (poor or not), mostly in here english is our third or fourth languange. I say that fact bcs people in the comment think we only can speak Bahasa Indonesia when we are born to be bilingual or trilingual.
@@niwaygeeta11 fyi i'm an Indonesian tho, nowadays kid can speak bahasa, english, and other basic languange if have any languange course( ex. mandarin, arab, japanese, spanish etc)
@@kevinhermawan369 Kalau tentang itu, udah tahu kalau kakak pasti orang Indonesia karena tahu soal keadaan di sini. But, yes. I just want to inform that Indonesian people is always have ability to learn new languange especially bcs we already bilingual in here.
Ya Allah, ati,,udah lama kita ngak ketemu,, kangen,,,semangat ati, Walau engkau sarjana tapi humble mencari uang halal...seneng liat lo masih berjuang untuk membantu nafkah keluarga🙏💪💪
Dear Mrs Ati.. As Indonesian I can say 1 word for you..RESPECT!!!...all indonesian should understand basic english language like her..is a must..thats a simple way to accept another people from another country politely.. Thanks Luke for visiting Wonderful Indonesia..appreciate it dude!
I'm Indonesian and I think she was mistaken in asking 1200 as the price instead of 12000 rupiah 0.75€ / 1.16$AU / 0.79$US That is the common price of 2 cups of ICED TEA in Indonesia She is an honest and lovely woman 😁
i was wondering about that too, since i wanted to know how much 1200 was in usd, and was confused to find out it's just short of 8 cents according to google
I believe she meant twelve thousand, but still giving her 100k would still make her day. Such a nice lady, speak decent English without any hesitation.
@@setyobk 12 hundreds basically just 1,200. Some people be too lazy to say one thousand two hundred so they shortened it and split the number to twelve+hundred
@@setyobk exactly!! Except 1200 for 2 cups of ice tea is too cheap 😂 it'd make more sense with 12,000 and one cup costs 6,000 rupiah. But still appreciate bu Ati for her confident and communication skill 💯🫶🏻😆 mistakes is the last thing she care for!
She meant 12,000 IDR although she said it mistakenly as 1,200. But it's the same price for locals, she didn't even try to scam tourists. These honest street vendors have to be protected. They gave her 100,000 so she got 88,000 tip.
@cangcimen Wkwkwk sotoi banget, dimana2 twelve hundred itu 1200, liat aja tuh di translatenya ditulis Rp.1200. Udah jalan kemana aja bro emangnya wkkwk, berasa paling pinter ngerti inggris keanya nih.
Yg pnting ikhlas dgn smua org. 😊Terbaik makcik cute
Pokoknya salut sih sama orang indo, dengan bahasa inggris yang se adanya turis pham. Laaah kalo kita ke thailand contohnya banyak yg gak paham bhsa inggris.
Diulang² nonton ttep bangga bgt msh ad oang sprti ibu ini di indonesia.. selain update bhsa inggrisny, ramah, dn jujur ga dimahalin.. semakin gacor rejekinya bu sehat selalu
@@imoh3165 it's not, Rp 12.000 for both means 6.000 each which is a reasonable price for a milk tea on a street vendor like that with that packaging, while we usually paid 4.000-5.000 for a regular iced tea in a glass or a plastic bag for takeaway on "warung" or a simple street vendor/roadside stall. Yet Luke still gives her Rp 100.000 which is a lot😂
That woman was the cleanest vendor so far. She used utensils and she used a scoop for ice out of a clean bag and cooler. And her hair was covered. And the personality wonderful
Makasih buuuu ... sudah mewakili keramahan, kehumble an, negara ini. Tetap jujur soal harga, gak nembak sama turis asing. Pinter juga bhs inggrisnya. Good job mam!!!
I think what she meant "best tea" here is "bestie"=best friend, that means there are two of you why are you only buy one, you guys should buy two ice tea cause you're bestie 😅 and I think her name is Jasmirhati
