Crazy how they actually made Luke a person from a desert planet unable to swim or use a boat properly if only someone had the common sense to apply that logic to another character

She never mentioned the fact that the Inquisitors all started as Jedi. A few were recruited and trained after the fall of the Jedi, but Vader, the Grand Inquisitor, the entire first batch.... Jedi hunters are former Jedi. They're the only people who routinely handle one negative emotion so poorly that they slaughter countless innocents. Avoid them, Luke.

I think Verla overreacted just a wee bit. She didn't see all his memories and she didn't let Luke explain himself. She speaks of Order 66, and Vader as pure evil, then proceeds to attempt to murder someone she doesn't even know. "Like father, like son" may be true sometimes, but it isn't gospel. Geesh.

Verla: "Whoever taught you didn't tell you about the purge." Literally Kenobi when he meets Luke: "A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi knights."

In legends, Luke found out after the Dark Empire comics. He found out about Shmi, Padme, and order 66. I liked how that Luke was adamant about understanding his family's past and knowing that the dark side was always going to be a struggle for him especially with Han and Leia's children. In this canon story, I think Luke finding out about the purge, the inquisitors, and the rest of Order 66 is a nice addition to his journey. I believe that he will understand how Emperor Palpatine rose to power and how much of a hold he has on Vader. I think the next issues will explore Luke's turn from Obi-wan and Yoda's advice: why he chose to believe that Vader still had the light in him because he was manipulated and used as a weapon for Sidious.

There's the test, if a force user likes sand they will be a Jedi if they hate it they will become a Sith, grey Jedi like Qui gon have no strong feelings toward sand. Hence why they tend to be more rational.

Im Actually a bit disappointed, I kinda was expecting the hooded woman to be Ashoka, this would’ve been what every Star Wars fan including myself has been asking for, Luke and Ashoka meeting.

Imagine having a scene where Luke bumps into an Inquisitorius Squad

Those that told him about the Jedi could not care less about the inquisitors... I doubt they would be more than 5 seconds for Obi Wan or Yoda

I like the constancy this story keeps with of fearing Vader's offspring, such as is the case after the fall of the Empire. Many of the New Republic holds a lot of fear from, specifically, Leia because of her connection to Vader. Darth Vader is such a feared and hated figure that any chance of something like him happening again is unfathomable to so many, likely from many personal experiences, such as is the case with Verla.

The next question in his mind. "How much Younglings his father slaughtered."

Sand reminds Luke of home and happy days with his Aunt and Uncle, they were days of hard work but he had family and love. For Anakin sand was a reminder of slavery and the struggles he and his mother endured.

Sir Alec Guinness told Mark Hamill this before we saw a lightsaber ignite on screen, or right after. Luke always knew. You don't have to ask whether the children were spared. The whole Galaxy knew what Darth Vader did. That was the point of how Palpatine introduced him. Luke knew.

I'm not liking how often Luke gets bullied in these comics, the amount of times he should have died before episode 6 is ridiculous.

Very awesome video. I also hope we see a spin-off movie with everything based on Star Wars 2020 comic #5 as well as the Darth Vader 2020 comics 1-5 as well as Luke’s point of view taking place around this time and after that time leading all the way to the events of Return of The Jedi.

Poor Luke Skywalker, BessY. Can imagine the shock that came over Luke's face. That's why he hid his face in his hands, but Verla could read his mind that he is Darth Vader's son.

Because Anakin was a dirt-poor slave he grew up to be a massive edgelord. Luke however grew up with a family as on a moisture farm so he had a relatively positive outlook on life.
