Feel free to ask any questions about this soundset, or my opinion on the Prophet 5/10, or anything else you might want to chat about be it synths, music, life...
@@lukeneptune3820 Great sounds! how do you find it compared to the prophet 6?I noticed that it has great mono combatibility due to the mono output(you used the mono line output,right??)....is prophet 6 capable of the same combatibility if you just use 1 (mono ) output?does prophet 6 loose part of its sound if you use the mono output?Don't you find that prophet 6 can produce better basses cause of its extra sub osc?
The sound of the Prophet is just amazing. Warm, organic and alive. Just ordered my Prophet 10 today !!! Definitely going to get this preset package. I actually like the sound of the Sequential better than the Moog One in some ways. Both are great but the Prophet just excels at analog goodness for sure.
Good capture of the classic Prophet sounds! At this point, anyone that claims the rev 4 is "inferior" to the original can be dismissed with a recommendation to see their audiologist.
Your Soundest makes me wanna buy Prophet 5....Great Job Luke..I have also prophet 6 and bassstation soundsets from you and are the greatest presets I ever heard.!
Luke, your patches are just ballin'. Love 'em. I like to program my own sounds, but I may well drop the cash on your soundset for some extra sonic goodness in my grabbag! -Cory
I’m going to get the Prophet-10 as one of my first few synths someday. Did you hear about the Poly unison feature? It’s part of the new OS update. It halves the polyphony with 4 VCOs per voice, which has got to equal or compete with a Memorymoog!
Nice! Just got the soundset...ran these bad boys through some vintage effects in Guitar Rig and BOY!!! I'll be playing my prophet for the next 5 hours.. Do another set lol..
Luke this is gorgeous - and you're a great player too. You mentioned the JUN-6 chorus (way less noisy than on my Juno 6 that I never really loved), but can you give a clue about the reverb? Smooth, warm and not overpowering.
This instrument sounds fantastic and these patches highlight that fact better than other demos I've heard...great work! I can't afford one of these but I do own U-he RePro5. Any plans to do a similar set of patches for that instrument?
Hi Luke. I've been infatuated with Prophets for a while and with the re-issue I am seriously considering getting one. I am leaning towards the 10 over the 5 because more voices equals bettererer right? Anyway, I was thinking about getting the desktop option because there is limited space in my studio. Is there anything that would push you towards the keys version over desktop? Anything I'd be missing out on? I have other boards that can function as controllers. Am I missing anything without the P5/10 keyboard? Has there been any discussion around releasing an expansion to turn the P5 into a P10. I would have thought this would be doable but I would understand if DSI doens't want to go that route.
@@lukeneptune3820 Fingers crossed that something like this might still happen. I think the Prophet 5 deserves a good Synthwave soundset. I know the P6 and Take 5 got one, but the P5 has such a classic sound, there's nothing like it.
These are great patches. Do you know if you can load to specific banks or are they dedicated? I’ve purchased two other libraries and most of my slots are full. Or is it best just to load the sound sets you want to use for each session?
They don’t overwrite the factory presets as the factory presets are copied in the second half of the banks and aren’t able to be overwritten. So yes these patches go in the user banks :)
Thanks mate. I absolutely love it. Literally can’t stop playing it. Any chance I get I’m on it. Yeah I’ve played a Rev3 before. It sounds just like it but feels much better.

I’m selling my matriarch and MPCx to fund a P10. Already got Prophet XL, Pro 2, OB6 (with all your sets) Boly D, BonoPoly, ultra nove and Roland Integra. Think the P10 and a moog Minotaur will finish my hardware off. Want to keep the matriarch but it’s the room and I think the p10 is just going to go up in value. What you think? Probably not required and Matriarch is amazing. Just know this prophet will be 10k in 10 years and it has all the old filters, plus the new laying…..
I say go for it. You'll always be able to pick up a used Matriarch and MPCx again in the future. The P10 will complement your set up nicely and give you that organic, warm classic Prophet sound. It makes a great partner to the OB-6. They sound so different but they both cover so many classic synth sounds.
were these done on 5 or 10? about to purchase one an d will be buying these patches.. want the 5 for the real nostalgia of it all but on the fence any advice?
What effects unit do you guys recommend for reverb, delay, chorus and distortion? I’m picking up a P10 on the 20th and will be installing these awesome patches.
bit of a newbie question, but on the porta poly patch, how do you get portamento like that? is it a slow LFO or an aux envelope on oscillator freq? something like that? i've heard it before and haven't figured it out. or is it just a long glide? i didn't think the p5/10 had glide. or an aux envelope. at the end of the behringer demo of the pro 800 he plays something like this and i been jonesing for the formula ever since. lol
how are the new sound sets for the Prophet 5 rev 4 coming, the synth wave and hopefully you've got a soul, Neo soul, funk soul, funk soundbank in the works too?
Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't realised that ads were playing during the video. I've just changed the settings so that no ads will interrupt the video.
It's close between all there synths because they're all awesome. The P6 has been my fav synth for a long time now but the P5 has nudged it off the top spot. It's just incredible. It can sound a lot like my Minimoog when making bass sounds too. So much so that sometimes i find myself going to the P5 for Minimoog basses instead of my Minimoog lol. I based the sounds in this soundset on all 3 revisions of the vintage Prophet 5 and the Minimoog.
@@lukeneptune3820 Yeah I noticed the bass has some gnarly yet creamy Mini vibes, I understand why you'd choose it in that job ahah, amazing job as always!
Hey Luke, noticed you recently got your Model D Reissue. Since the prices and value for Minimoog’s are going to keep rising, how well do you think the Behringer Model D stacks up against the real thing? As much as I want a Mini, having to pay 5,000 or much more for a monosynth is ridiculous. The Prophet -10 on the other hand...
The Boog sounds pretty much exactly the same as my Mini so you’re not missing out on anything sonically. I agree the prices are going crazy at the min.
