Welcome to a full morning of homemaking in our house. My goal is to provide you with footage to inspire you to be productive - give you cooking motivation, cleaning motivation and healthy homemaker/from scratch recipes, but mostly it is to share the encouraging message from God in the voiceover. This video can be used for visual purposes or as an audio only podcast.
When God the spirit moves upon a people gathered together we see devotion. Devotion means a steadfast course of action. You don’t see a bunch of lukewarm or noncommittal people together. They are devoted to Jesus and a sound doctrine. God the spirit leads a congregation and guides a congregation towards sound teaching so that they might crave scripture and love the gospel.

I loved listening to this while I was chopping my potatoes too! I've experienced opposition in my life for being too charismatic, too this, too that, but I want to love God with my whole heart and it can look strange to people. I love the reminder about lukewarmness being disgusting to God. Lord, help me to never be lukewarm!

We have attended a church for the past year. I understand being open to a variety of people. 2-3 times now there has been someone drunk in the front row. Once they had to remove the person. Other times they just let them dance unless they start to climb on stage or start bugging other people. Many people in the audience are on their cell phones during the sermon or talking, and often getting up and down during the service. I find this distracting. Lastly, there isn’t a dress code and women are often dressed inappropriately dressed (tight short skirts or shorts, bras showing, etc) this isn’t everyone of course but i just get the impression people don’t take the service seriously. It’s frustrating and I am beginning to feel like this isn’t the place for us.

Thank you so much! Your support means more than you know ♥️ we searched all kinds of denominations and non denominations and found our Baptist churches here to be the most biblically sound - so all that to say we are baptist 😊

Do you think the Bible is referring to the church as a whole as being lukewarm or individuals? Because when people say its referring to individuals (Christians who are lukewarm) many say it proves you can lose your salvation. Or if you do believe its the church he is speaking to as a whole does that prove they are saved but He will deny them because they are lukewarm? Curious your thoughts on that. I am sorry if you mentioned that but I didn't remember hearing your thoughts about who he was speaking to and whether that means you can lose your salvation if you are lukewarm

It could be the entire church or an individual. You cannot lose your salvation - if you could we would all lose it. I would argue that someone who is a lukewarm Christian is just a Christian by name and was never saved in the first place. They may go to church for appearance and practice a form of religion, but their inner state is one of self-righteous complacency. They claim to be Christians, but their hearts are unchanged. I hope this makes sense ♥️

@@AnnaDysett yes I think you are absolutely right. Although there are times after I got saved when I went through times of distance from God. Some may call it lukewarm. Did that mean I wasn't saved? I don't think so. I think my level of maturity was different then than it is now. And I'm sure my maturity is different now than it will be in 10 years. Looking back and seeing that I was lukewarm doesn't necessarily mean I wasn't truly saved but that I am in the lifelong process of sanctification
