Thank you for your information ..I prefer to buy a mattress from a company that discloses all of the information I deserve before buying! On to Purple! Thank you!
I unlike Gerialynn really liked the Video.. It was very informative and gave a lot of great points to looking for a great fit bed for you. Thank you GoodBed I have a great bed but we are looking for either a topper or a mattress something like this for my husband.
Hi Diana -- Thank you very much for taking the time to share these kind words! It is very gratifying to hear that you found this video helpful. My apologies that we missed this comment earlier.
Hi Geralynn -- Thank you very much for your candid feedback. I sincerely appreciate it. FYI, for those people who would prefer a brief overview, we do provide a concise summary at the end of every video review. You can use the chapter headings we provide in the description to skip directly to that summary, or to any other sections that are of particular interest or importance to you. More generally, we have experimented with shorter formats, however in most cases we feel that we are short-changing those viewers who giving their purchase serious consideration and want to see the characteristics and features of the mattress evaluated fairly and comprehensively. It may also be worth adding that in recent years we have seen a massive increase in mattress reviews from so-called "experts." My hope is that if you watch our videos, the difference in our level of expertise and objectivity will be very clear. Most importantly, we hope our viewers understand that this same level of expertise and objectivity goes into everything on GoodBed.com, including the Match Quiz we created in order to help people easily search across the countless online and local mattress options to find mattresses that best match their personal needs and preferences. Once again, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. I hope this response is helpful.
Thank you very much for the kind words Thomas. Regarding Bear, it's quite a timely question as that review should actually be coming out later this week! Once it is published, you'll be able to find it on our site here: www.goodbed.com/mattresses/bear-mattress/ You can also subscribe to our channel to be notified when it comes out.
That's great, thanks for the quick reply! I'm 5'9" 185 and mostly a side/back sleeper. I work out at the gym regularly and have a physical day job and do suffer low back issues from time to time. I currently have a Leesa and while I like it the side sleeping isn't as good as the back sleeping. I have found I'd rather sleep on the mattress than in the mattress so some memory foams scare me away. Seems like the Lull here and possibly the Bear could give me better side pressure relief while still giving good back support. The Celliant Tech in the Bear has me intrigued and especially because I live in a hot climate I'd like to have a cool mattress, which the Leesa is good at.
Hi Thomas -- Thanks again for your question. Just wanted to let you know that we released the Bear review, so you can now check out our full evaluation of it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rMF07I_MJ6E.html I hope it's helpful for you.
Awesome, thanks Mike! Just watched the Bear review, sounds like something I might try. I saw your reply to a question about comparing the Leesa to the Bear and how the Bear is slightly more firm. I think that's where for my back it would be a better choice but for my side I'm not so sure. I do remember saying to myself if the Leesa was just a little firmer it would be perfect, so I may just have to try the Bear and see. Watching the Lull review here I get the impression you liked it, which you don't usually say one way or the other at the end of your reviews. Since Lull chooses not to disclose the foam densities of their mattress, how would you describe the overall feel compared to the Bear or even the Leesa? Are they all of the same quality? I'm constantly amazed at the amount of choices there are now for mattresses and there are so many that appear to be made very similarly yet feel different. That's where great reviews like yours come in handy to get steered in the right direction. Thanks Mike!
Hi Thomas -- Thanks again for your kind words. I'm very glad the Bear review was helpful. In terms of the information about foam densities, these don't affect our ability to assess "feel" at all. So the assessments we provided in the video relating to softness, cushioning depth, responsiveness, and the like were not hindered in any way by not knowing the densities and an be compared to equivalent assessments we made in other reviews. The only thing that densities can make it tougher to estimate is durability. Even having the densities does not provide us with a perfect predictor of longevity. However, when paired with knowledge of what constitutes a high level of density across different types of foams, it does offer us the best available indicator and allows us to identify possible "weak links" in the construction of a mattress. So without density information, we simply can't offer this kind of assessment or compare it on this front to other options like Bear or Leesa. I hope that helps.
Hi there -- Thanks for your question. I'm afraid we don't have any updates to provide on that front. Since we are constantly testing different mattresses, we are not able to sleep on any one mattress continuously over time. Sorry we can't be of more help on this one.
Hi Tina -- Thanks for your suggestion, and sorry I missed this earlier. We do prioritize our reviews based on input from our readers though, so your interest in our review of this mattress will certainly be noted. That said, FWIW I don't believe we have received many inquiries so far about this particular brand.
Hi Marie -- Thanks for your question. Yes, as a general rule, all else being equal, people who are lighter (like you) tend to benefit from a bit more softness, particularly if they are side sleepers. FYI, in case you haven't already taken it, you will get a more thorough assessment of what softness level would be ideal for you (and a list of options that best meet your overall criteria) by taking the Match Quiz on our site. You can find that here: www.goodbed.com/mattress-finder/ I hope that's helpful.
Hi Daralee -- Thanks for your question. You can't flip this mattress (the bottom side isn't meant to be slept on), but that does not sound normal. If it's been 3 months, you should still be within your trial period, in which case you could either exchange or return it. I would recommend contacting Lull's customer service ASAP to discuss your options.
Hi Brandon -- Thanks for your question. I guess the first thing I'd want to clarify is that even heavier people have different mattress needs and preferences from one another, so there is no such thing as one best option for all heavier people. Anyone who claims otherwise is either not a mattress expert or trying to sell you something (or both). That being said, the next thing I'd want to know is how heavy we are talking. If you are talking about 300 lbs or more, then the options do start to get more narrow -- particularly if you're looking for a mattress that will hold up for 5-10 years. At that level, you'll want to look for product lines that are specifically designed to be supportive (and durable) for heavier sleepers. Such mattresses are generally made with super-sturdy coils and often aren't sold online. A good option that is sometimes available on Amazon would be the Medicoil HD (Heavy Duty) line here: amzn.to/2tlYZtj The coils in this mattress are made with 12.5 gauge wire, which is extremely thick as mattress coils go. Likewise, the foams are high-density, durable foams that are specifically made for people in your weight range. You can even get mattresses in this line that are flippable, which increases their longevity (and reduces body impressions) even more. If you're talking about something more in the range of 250 lbs, then you'd certainly have more options, including a number of the online mattresses that we've reviewed. I hope that helps.
Hi Marie -- Just as an FYI, sometimes an all-foam mattress will appear to be a lot softer when you press into it with your knee or your fist than it will feel when you're actually laying on it and have your weight spread out across the mattress. In the case of the Lull, we classify this as a Medium level of softness, so it falls pretty much right in the middle of the universe of options available out there. Also note that some people use the word "firm" to describe the underlying support provided by a mattress, which can be a source of a lot of confusion. Specifically, many people assume that having more "firmness" means having better support. By contrast, our assessments of the "softness" have little to nothing to do with the underlying support -- they are an assessment of how much softness you will experience in the upper comfort layers of the mattress. For some people, softer mattresses can actually provide better spinal alignment (eg, by allowing your pointy parts to sink into the mattress a bit more). So it's important not to confuse "firmness" with support -- in fact, this is why we use a "softness" spectrum on our site, rather than a "firmness" spectrum. I hope that's helpful.
I have severe scoliosis and would love the perfect bed for me. So I watched this video. You say It’s made of safe polyurethane because it’s CertiPUR certified. Do you actually believe that or is the money just too good? CertiPUR was created by the Polyurethane Foam Association! Its very members are chemical companies & foam fabricators!❗️ The DOW CHEMICAL COMPANY is (just) one of their SPONSERS❗️☠️ I can’t even believe not one commenter called you to task for the invalidity of your statements. I’d rather sleep on leaves.
Hi +MM -- Thanks for your comment. I am sorry to hear about your scoliosis. We would be glad to help you find the perfect bed for you. Regarding the bulk of your comment: Respectfully, I think you may have misheard what I said. I can assure you that at no point in this video (or any other we have published) did we describe a mattress as being made from "safe polyurethane." That is partly because we know that it is well outside our wheelhouse as mattress experts to assess the safety of common household items like polyurethane foam. We leave that to other far more qualified organizations, like the CPSC. What we *did* say is that the foam used in this mattress is certified to the CertiPUR standard. And we also explained that CertiPUR is a standard that certifies that the presence and off-gassing of various harmful materials is below a minimum threshold. If there is any part of that statement that you feel is not 100% factually accurate, please let me know. As far as the origins of CertiPUR, you are correct that was created by the polyurethane industry. Many industries create voluntary standards programs like this as a means of both regulating themselves and as a means of separating good players from bad ones. Perhaps you are unaware that not all polyurethane foam meets these standards. As just one example, mattresses imported from China are a growing portion of the mattresses sold in the US (especially in places like Amazon or Overstock), and much of the foam produced there does not meet CertiPUR standards. Going back to your desire to find the right bed for you, have you tried taking the Mattress Match Quiz on our site? I believe this is the best starting point for any mattress shopper. It works by asking you all the relevant questions to fully assess your requirements (including factors like the ones we've discussed in this comment), and then using an intelligent matching algorithm that searches across all brands and stores (both online and in your local area) to find ones that match your unique needs and preferences. If you indicate in the quiz that natural materials are important to you (which is one of the questions), you would not be shown a mattress like this one, which as you pointed out is made from entirely polyurethane foam. FYI, you can find this quiz here: www.goodbed.com/mattress-finder/quiz/ Net, we are more than happy to help you find a mattress that is great for you, and I sincerely hope we can do that for you. That said, I do wish you hadn't felt the need to call my character into question in the process.

Hi there -- Thanks for your comment. I'm very sorry to hear that you haven't had a positive experience with this mattress. FYI, your feedback would be even more helpful if you would be willing to add this as a review on GoodBed, where people who are shopping for a mattress and looking for unbiased information will find it most easily. So far there are over 50 ratings for this particular brand but no written reviews yet. If you're willing, here is a direct link to where you can submit your review of this mattress: www.goodbed.com/review-mattress/model/lull/
@@ironheadmafia That's the funny thing about mattress reviews. 😊 Unlike other products, most people don't really know what to say about their mattress. That's why our review form -- which is specific to mattresses -- coaches you through it by starting with some very specific multiple-choice questions that are key to consider when evaluating a mattress. Once you get through those questions, many people find that they trigger some thoughts about the mattress that you can elaborate on by adding some words of your own to the review. In terms of "what's to be said," if you watch this video (or even just look at the table of contents in the description), you can see that there is much more to a mattress than meets the eye. Naturally, the average person would have no reason to know this, but helping people choose the right mattress is our job and we've been doing it longer and better than anyone else, so we've put a lot of thought into it... 😎 The bottom line is that there are some aspects of a mattress that are very subjective, such as anything related to how it feels. In these areas, people will have widely different opinions about the same mattress. But there are other areas that are more objective, like motion isolation or edge support, in which your experience is likely to be roughly the same as someone else's (though how much you care about these things may differ). And there are still other areas that are about fit (eg, pressure relief or back pain) -- meaning they will feel objective to you (eg, whether or not you wake up with pain or soreness) but your experience may be very different from someone else for whom that mattress is a better / worse fit. This is why our review form also asks you some questions about you, so that we can help our readers find perspectives from other people whose experience will most closely resemble their experience. I hope that's helpful.
24 MINUTES OF MY LIFE WAITING FOR JUST ONE THING FROM YOUR LIPS...THE PRICE~ Lull does not give the price on the link they sent me and either do you! Hard to trust anything they said or you as well.
Hi there -- Thanks for your comment, and I'm sorry for the frustration you experienced. Prices often fluctuate, and videos can't be edited once they've been published, so we don't make a practice of leading with price information in any of our videos. That said, we do actually state the price as of the time we shot this video at the 18:20 mark of the video. It's discussed in the Price & Value section, which you can skip to directly using the chapter headings provided in the description of the video. In terms of the current price, the best way to check that directly is by going here: www.goodbed.com/o/m/lull/ Or, to see the current price along with the best currently available discount, you can always check our written review here: www.goodbed.com/reviews/lull-mattress-review/ Thanks again, and I hope that's helpful.
Hi +THX1138 -- Thank you very much for the constructive feedback here. I sincerely appreciate it. FYI, for those people who would prefer a brief overview, we do provide a summary at the end of every video review. You can use the chapter headings we provide in the description to skip directly to that summary (at 20:39), or to any other sections that are of particular interest or importance to you. More generally, we have experimented with shorter formats, however in most cases we feel that we are short-changing those viewers who giving their purchase serious consideration and want to see the characteristics and features of the mattress evaluated fairly and comprehensively. In terms of the "vague" part, I'm wondering what you felt could be more specific? If you were looking for a star rating, that would be totally understandable, but the thing most people don't know is that star ratings on mattress reviews are the single-best way to spot a *fake* mattress reviewer. Any real mattress expert knows that everybody's mattress needs differ based on their body shape, weight, preferences, priorities and the like -- so a universal star rating is not only meaningless, it's highly misleading. Only fake mattress review sites put star ratings on their reviews -- FYI, we've provided more info on how to spot fake mattress review sites here: www.goodbed.com/pages/untrustworthy-mattress-review-websites/ Once again, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. I hope this response is helpful.
This mattress is NOT for everyone. I have this product for 3 days. and every day I'm waking up like i was working 3 shifts in the factory in the row. My back is killing me, really, i cant believe i spend 1300$ and i feel more exhausted than I was on my old mattress. The biggest problem is the back pain i have. So from me= horrible and i won't recommend it.
Hi there -- Thanks for your comment. I'm sorry to hear that this mattress is not turning out to be a good choice for you. Your conclusion about this mattress not being right for everyone is completely correct -- and in fact, this comment could be stated much more broadly, because *no* mattress is good for everyone. I hope that watching this video gives you some sense of which characteristics of this mattress are not a good match for you (spinal alignment sounds like one of the big ones in your case). In terms of finding a more suitable replacement, I would suggest taking the Match Quiz on our site to narrow your universe of options to those that are most likely to be a good match for your personal needs and preferences. You can then watch our in-depth reviews of those mattresses to make sure its characteristics look like a good fit for you. If you haven't already taken this quiz, you can find it here: www.goodbed.com/mattress-finder/ I hope that's helpful.
